How many chances do you give your first love before your heart finally breaks
for good? Bristol Matthews has loved Vince Jennings since she tutored him in
high school. Vince loved Bristol but he left her for his other love, music. He
could not stay in his hometown, through all the pain he was enduring.
Seven years after Vince left town, Bristol drove several hours to see him in
concert and they spent the night together. Now Bristol is working for a PR firm,
and she is assigned to Vince, of all people.
Can they work together without revealing their secrets? What will Vince do when
he learns what Bristol has been keeping from him? Can they move past the fears
they both have and make a future together?
First off, I have to say that I love K. Bromberg and her books are worth
reading. I felt the pain and heartache for Bristol and Vince. The happiness was
so much more, and worth it in the end. I was hooked on their story from the
beginning and was not ready for it to end. Also, I loved seeing the rest of the
band of Bent come back around for some of this story.
So sit back and enjoy the ride of Sweet Regret.

This is a really enjoyable read from the very first page. I loved that Vince
and Bristol were thrown together, even if the awkwardness was pretty intense.
As we understand what happened... the timing is revealed in a very clever way,
the set up for what is going to have to come out is fabulous.
There is nothing better than waiting for the threads to join and the fabric of
the story to be revealed. Seeing the music business from a slightly different
angle, and with a less than rosy perspective, with competing priorities makes
Bristol's opinion of Vince vie with her heart's continuing love for him.
A fun read with all the feels – enjoy!
