This is book 10 of The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series, but inter-related to all of the very talented Melissa Foster’s bookverse. I love being given the chance to join these fabulous people and remembering all the links, all the previous stories, and catching up with old friends.

Here Jillian, the super talented fashion designer, is such a hard worker that it has always been difficult to imagine her having time for romance. Even now that her twin, Jax, is happily in love, she is still piling pressure on herself to be even more successful. Her latest project, which has been delayed twice already, is causing her great anger, and her decision to go and face rock star Johnny Bad leads her down a totally unexpected route.

Such a fabulous start to a novel – I loved it from the very first page. I am not going to reveal more about the plot – but we get to visit Beau and Char at their Snow White house and B&B. We spend time with Jillian's family, and even Nick might be smoothing out some of his harshness!

It was difficult to tear myself away from this wonderful story of family, of responsibility, and definitely of love and commitment – I finished it in two days, with not a lot of sleep going on! The only sadness was reaching the last page, as I would have happily stayed with them for much, much longer!

Jillian is all set to design a tour wardrobe for the famous rocker Johnny Bad but he keeps canceling their meetings. Not this time; she heads to New York to find out why, and boy does she get a surprise.

Jillian and Johnny are somewhat alike. They live their lives as they want – for their careers with no one depending on them. Now that has changed for Johnny with his teenage daughter coming into the picture. Jillian has never had the desire to settle down and have a family.

As these three grow closer, their lives change before their eyes, and they don't even realize it. When it is time to leave Colorado and head back home, they begin to see that there are real feelings involved, but neither Jillian nor Johnny will tell the other how they feel because they are not sure if it is the right thing to do.

This story is filled with pain, loss, lust, love, and love of family and friends, and will bring the three of them back together. I love this author's books and the way she can tie her series together; she is a go-to author for me. If you haven't read this author yet, grab any book and enjoy.
