A
sexy, brother's best friend sports romance from #1 New York Times
bestseller Lauren Blakely!
Let me make a few things clear. I didn’t go to the wedding intending to dance
with the best man, to dare him to show me a very sexy pic on his phone, or to
accidentally kiss him in the hotel elevator after the reception ended.
But you know how it goes. Things just happen at weddings...
The next day, Crosby and I agree to put all those shenanigans behind us. The
fun-loving, stupidly gorgeous, all-star baseball player might be my brother’s
best friend, but he’s my friend too and has been for years, so it’s easy to
move on, especially because I have a high-profile business to run.
But since he’s newly single and I’m always single, it turns out we both
desperately need plus ones. We agree to “publicly date” over the next
two weeks of galas, parties and events before his baseball season begins.
The only trouble is the more time I spend with Crosby, the more I keep
imagining how much I want him to take my V-card.
And when I broach the possibility with Crosby, his answer surprises the hell
out of me.

Nadia and Crosby have been friends forever; well, he has been her brother's
friend forever. She has really liked him forever. But they have been close,
could talk about anything and everything. When he called asking for her to be
his plus one at her brother's wedding, she couldn't refuse. Crosby is trying to
focus on his baseball career and lay off women and bad relationships, so he
asks Nadia to be his plus one to all up-and-coming functions. That way it would
be safe, with no distractions. Or so they thought. Seems they both have had
feelings for the other for years. What will happen when she tells him she wants
him to take her V-card? They come up with a set of rules, can they follow them
without falling in love?
This story was great, it was filled with a couple that was fun, flirty, loving,
sexy, and all-around perfect. I cannot wait for book two.

The Virgin Rule Book is a sports romance and a brother’s best friend romance all rolled into one fantastic, low-angst romcom. Our hero, Crosby, is a pretty perfect guy aside from his inability to pick a good woman. I love that he is so open about his entertaining failures in romance. I loved his lucky socks and I particularly love how he treats Nadia like a queen.
Nadia is awesome. Strong, independent, and the owner of a football team – I loved her. She is a good woman, she has just no luck on the dating scene because the men she was dating were douchebags.
Nadia and Crosby together are magic. Crosby grew up around Nadia and the two of them know each other well. Their banter and flirting had me grinning time and time again. And the two of them between the sheets are off the charts hot!
I had a blast reading The Virgin Rule Book. We get two fantastic, hot characters falling in love and plenty of heat and some laughs too. This is a must read if you love a romcom. Five stars from me.

This is the first in a new series, and as a huge sports romance fan, this is
definitely going to be one that I will enjoy!
It was refreshing that Nadia, owner of an NFL team, was the lead in this story,
along with her brother's best friend, Crosby, the still able and very
successful, but ageing-out-of baseball player. Add in the fact that she had
been incredibly unlucky in finding a boyfriend due to their expectations of how
she would be given her role and wealth, and this story had a lot of interesting
things to share. It wasn't laboured in any way, but given just the right level
of prominence. It was also fun to square off football with baseball, and deal
with the views of fans of each sport – as a Brit, I am pretty agnostic about
both, so found it very amusing.
Friends for years, but always abiding by the best friend code of honour, it is
funny that they finally find themselves in the right place at the very moment
that they are both sick of the dating game. So starts their pact. The need for
the rules being put in place, in part due to Nadia not having yet done the
deed, played out really well, especially between two successful people dealing
with an unusual and slightly complicated situation.
I laughed, I wanted them to find out that the other felt the same way too, and
I was delighted when they recognised the importance of what was growing between
them. Lovely, lovely book which put a smile on my face and brightened up my day
– really, what more could anyone ask for? (Other than the next book in the
series!)

M/F Friends-to-Lovers Romance
Nadia and Crosby have known each other for years. They have shared interests,
friends, and Nadia’s brother.
When Crosby has another bad experience with dating, he decides he needs a diet.
No dating for him. Despite needing to attend his best friend’s wedding, he
knows that he can call Nadia and see if she wants to be his plus one. After
all, it’s her brother’s wedding.
Nadia is a virgin by choice. She needs a man who isn’t afraid of her status.
Now that she’s moving her football team back to California, she’s ready to
buckle down and bring home the trophy.
Despite their shared, self-imposed diet of dating, Nadia and Crosby can’t help
but feel their attraction. And after dancing, literally, around the subject,
neither can really find a reason why they shouldn’t begin a friends-with-benefits
relationship.
This is a sweet, fun story with fun characters. While the main characters are
figuring out whether or not they can truly become a couple, the secondary
characters are hilarious, but caring. I enjoyed the banter between Nadia and
Crosby and can’t wait to see who gets the second book.
