Jude
Staubman lives his life by a strict set of rules.
Mason Reiner makes him want to break every single one of them.
Jude:
What do you do when you wake up with a hangover and find yourself in bed with
your best friend’s younger brother?
Who happens to be your new brother-in-law?
The man who drives you crazy.
The man who’s always skated by on fast-talk, good looks, and a bright smile.
The one who makes you want to break all the rules.
You hire him as your assistant, of course. And pray you can keep your sanity.
And your hands off him.
Mason:
How do you prove you’ve changed?
That you’re no longer the party-boy who always needed rescuing from his own
mistakes—and boy you’ve made some big ones.
But no one needs to know your secrets.
You take a job with the one man who doesn’t trust you.
The man who’s waiting for you to screw up.
You try and forget that one explosive night together.
Except you can’t.
And to your shock... neither can he.
What do you do when the one man you can’t imagine living with is the one you
can’t live without?

When Jude wakes up in bed with Mason the morning after his sister's wedding, he
blames the tequila and knows it can never happen again. No matter how many
times he thinks about that night. Mason is Doug's younger brother and Doug is
his best friend and now his brother-in-law.
After knowing each other for years, Mason comes to work at The Company. The
firm Jude and Doug co-own. Jude doesn't expect the work that Mason is putting
in. He's remembering him as the man he was ten years ago. Mason has changed and
wants to show that to Doug and especially Jude.
Jude has always been the serious one, never living for himself but taking care
of his mother at the end of her illness and then his younger sister. He did
what he had to do to make sure everything was taken care of, even if that meant
forgetting to live along the way. Until Mason becomes his assistant. Jude can't
stop thinking about their night together or the way Mason makes him want more.
Mason wants to prove himself to Jude and push him out of his comfort zone. Can
two complete opposites find love?
I was hooked from the beginning. I was so invested in these characters. I
couldn't get enough. The chemistry was explosive and the back and forth was
witty and so raw and emotional at times. It made for a wonderful read!

Aww, this book was just so good. Enemies-to-lovers books are hit and miss with
me. This one was a hit. I just loved Jude and Mason. Even when they were sniping
at each other and whatnot, I enjoyed them. I laughed with them, got snippy with
them, and fell in love with them. This book gave me the feels and I wanted more
Jude and Mason because they just made my insides melt.

This is such a fun read, with a lovely twist. Jude's sister has just married
his best friend... and he spends their wedding night with his new
brother-in-law! And wow, he didn't mean to do that at all.
Jude may have had a thing for Mason for years, but he never intended to act on
it. After this out of character start to the story, the reasons for Jude's true
cautious nature are revealed to us. And as he has to cope with Mason coming to
work for him, the layers get peeled away until the man is given a chance to
loosen up a little.
I found the growing feelings between these two men to be beautifully written.
The tension stems from one truth that Mason struggles to admit to – but when
the issue arises, Jude has the maturity to think hard about how he should
react. This fits his nature perfectly and makes the outcome all the richer.
Very enjoyable story, beautifully written.

I loved the start of Mr. Uptight. Jude (Mr. Uptight) wakes up in bed
with his best friend’s younger brother, Mason. The two have never got along but
they had a passionate night together. But we don’t get to see that night. The
story goes on with only tiny, little, really hot mentions of that night. In
fact, all the sexy scenes with Mason and Jude are really hot.
Mason goes to work at Jude’s business as his assistant and I enjoyed the office
romance aspect and the office politics. I also like the theme throughout the
book of two guys with opposite personalities trying to work out how to have a
relationship together. Mason is open and pushing to get what he wants – Jude.
Jude is closed off and afraid to admit that he wants Mason. While the guys are
great in the bedroom, outside they have to work on their relationship. By the
end of the story, with Jude and Mason still working on the same things over and
over it did start to get repetitive.
Mr. Uptight was an enjoyable read, even if it was a little predictable.
You could see the conflict coming a mile away. Jude and Mason are good guys and
I was glad that in the end, they were happy.
