Small
towns thrive on gossip, and as the owner of the local bar I consider myself
keeper of those secrets. The bar is like a confessional, a place to unload. My
sanctuary where my secrets stay hidden and the focus is never on me.
I keep my world orderly. None of the bad touching the good. Little dividers
allow me to live with myself, which isn’t easy in Arrowood.
It worked until my one lapse in judgement showed up to bite me in the ass.
My best friend’s arrogant, moody, and persistent little brother who just won’t
take no for an answer. I’ve never wanted and hated someone so much in my life.
He’s determined to pull my secrets out of me—I’m determined to resist him.

“You don’t remember, do you?”
“I remember kissing you.” His nose traced my ear. “And I remember waking up alone…”
“We both woke up alone.” And I was glad for it.
He pressed his hips into my ass, throbbing into me. I swallowed back lust and the groan accompanying it. I couldn’t give in… could I?
“I want you.”
I wanted him, too. I had since the moment I laid eyes on him.
“You want me, too. I feel it.” His fingers skimmed under the front of my shirt, dangerously close to my hard-on. “Can I touch you?” One of the things that had drawn me to Sage. He asked. He always asked.
“Yes… No.” I hung my head, trying to find the calm I’d had but it was impossible to think with him this close.
“No?” he asked, tongue curling into my ear.
“No,” I said, less convinced.
“Doesn’t really sound like a no…” There was a smile to his words but he stepped back putting his hands up.
“I’m trying here.”
“Trying?” The amusement hurt.
“To gain some fucking composure around you.” I turned on him.
Why did he have to be so beautiful?
His smile spread into a wicked grin. “Impossible. I think it’s how I got you to kiss me the first time. I asked you so nicely and then sat in your lap.”
I loved and hated that he still remembered.

3.5 stars of small town gossiping over a new romance
This is the third book in the series. It deals with the final brother, the one
who no one is sure about, as no one has ever seen Adam show any interest in
anyone. Until Cody's New York gallery-owning brother, Sage, comes to town.
Suddenly Adam can't cope with all the feels. It is a rollercoaster, which we
don't really get a good understanding of why for quite a while.
What with Sage pushing all his buttons, his family interfering, and the
impossibility of living in private in such a small town when you share a house
with your brothers... Adam has to work out what to do with all his anger and
fear, and how Sage fits into that plan.
An easy read, and a rather sweet story for two men who are finally working out
what is important to them in life... it turns out to be each other!
