Break Me by Tracy Wolff

New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff delivers the final installment in her thrillingly romantic Art of Pleasure series.

Seven days, seven nights…

One week of passion.

One week of submission.

One week where anything—and everything—goes.

Destiny Bridges has always been driven by the images in her head. For most of her life, her art has been everything to her, with people and life and even sex coming in very distant seconds.

Until journalist Heath Lewis comes to town to interview her for one of the top art magazines in the world. Suddenly he’s asking all kinds of questions she doesn’t know how to answer… and pushing her in ways she never imagined possible.

Ways that have her craving him and the pleasure he so effortlessly gives her.

With Heath, Destiny lets her body take control for the first time in her life. For one week, she gives herself over to all the wicked, wonderful things Heath demands of her, and in doing so learns more about herself—and her art—than she ever dreamed possible.

But when the week is over and Heath is still pushing for more—pushing for everything—she must decide if the changes he’s brought to her life, and her art, are changes she can live with for the rest of her life.

I am enjoying the variety and different ways that authors have interpreted "The Dirty Bits" in this series from Carina Press. I would recommend that you give them a try – and remember the premise of all the 'good' bits in a short story and judge them on that basis. They are quick, often cheeky, forays into passion, often with a quick transition into romance. Sometimes a short, sexy story is just what you need! This is the third in an arts-based group of stories by Wolff, and I enjoyed it for what it was billed to be. I particularly loved that her art was in glass blowing, which requires strength as well as skill and vision. It ensured that she was every bit as interesting as the injured Heath.

Heath may have travelled the world covering dangerous meaningful stories as a journalist, but Destiny walking out of her lake naked, and utterly secure, throws him. From there on the chemistry is clear, the article takes a back seat and we see two people give themselves over to a new level of pleasure. Will they make it long term... that is for us to decide, but I think Wolff gave us enough interaction that we can hope so.

This is the third book in the Art of Pleasure series and it was missing anything to do with a relationship. I really did like Heath and Destiny and the idea of them together, but the insta-sex was just that.

Heath is a reporter and he is going to write a story on Destiny and her art. When Heath is left waiting on Destiny at the restaurant almost an hour late, he decides to drive to her house to get his story.

Destiny doesn't want to do the story, but she does want to meet Heath, he intrigues her. She wants to get to know him and all about his travels.

They have a chemistry that is off the charts and the passion only gets hotter between them. Will their short time together be all there is between them? Can they work things out to stay together?

As I said, I really liked the idea of this story but for a short story, it took me over a day to finish it. I could not make myself pick it up to read it. It still has Tracy Wolff's writing style and that made it readable. Read it for the insta-sex if nothing else.

This is the third book in this quick read series. I have read the previous books and for me, this one is by far the worst. I found it very hard to read.

You have instant sex in the first few pages and when there could have been a developing relationship or at least friendship, it was just more sex. Yes, I know that these are supposed to be erotic, but there was no chemistry between the characters and it was incredibly disjointed in the writing style.

At times, I was almost guessing at what the book was actually supposed to be about because I was trying to make sense of what was happening.

I would skip this one in the series if I were telling someone to read them. The first two were much more cohesive and made a lot more sense.
