That first time I saw her—my mate—I’d been ready to kick
some guy’s ass for even looking at her. I made no apologies for my possessive,
territorial side. I was a grizzly bear shifter, after all. It was my nature to
be over the top.
Bethany hadn’t known what to do at first—being mated to a shifter—one who was grouchy and burly and made no apologies for how rugged he really was. But she wanted me, my sweet little human mate, who could have brought a beast like me to my knees with just a look.
I’d wanted nothing more than to throw her over my shoulder and take her back to my lair like a caveman. But I let her take the lead, even if my bear wasn’t happy, even if the alpha in me wanted to have my way with her right then and there.
And I would have my way with her. All the ways that counted, in fact. I’d claim her, mark her, and before it was all said and done, there’d be no doubt in anyone’s mind that Bethany was owned by a grizzly.
Warning: Holy moly, this hero’s crazy for his mate, but who wouldn’t want one OTT alpha bear shifter obsessed with you? This story is sweet and sexy, and oh so very filthy. Of course, you get a happily ever after… and a little somethin’-somethin’ at the end to wrap it up nicely.

Zakari
I smelled her before I saw her, this addicting aroma that was sweet yet spicy, soft and delicate. It had my entire body tightening, had my heart racing wildly. I curled my hands around the edge of the table, my nails starting to turn into claws as my bear rose to the surface.
Ours.
My human mate.
My bear’s mate.
That lone word was a growl inside of me, this feeling of completion, acceptance filling me completely. I slowly lifted my head and saw her, long dark hair in loose waves cascading down her back. She was standing to the side, her profile perfectly displayed. A tiny nose and gorgeous, pouty red lips.
I lowered my gaze to her chest, where large breasts—a perfect handful for me—pressed suggestively against the material of her shirt. I growled low again, this time knowing my brothers could hear it. She held a tray of six beers. Our drinks. She was coming here, to this table, as if fate had perfectly aligned this moment for our paths to cross.
Take her.
Claim her.
Make her know she is ours.
I needed to know everything there was to know about her, what she liked, what her voice sounded like, how she felt beneath me. I needed to know how she looked when she was lying in my bed, her hair spread out across my pillow, her mouth open as she moaned when I pushed my thick cock deep within her pussy.
Fuck.
I was sporting wood right now, a hard, stiff erection that pressed against my zipper uncomfortably. I was only focused on her. It didn’t matter if we were in a room full of people, she was my sole focus, the only person on this fucking planet who meant anything to me now.
My brothers were family, but she was life.
My life.

M/F Shifter Romance
Zakari and his brothers are waiting for their mates. They work, drink at a local bar, and wait. He knows that she's out there. He dreams of her. None of them will stop looking until they meet them.
Bethany is aware of shifters, but she never really encountered one. When she goes to help her grouchy grandma, she knows that she has to work too. While working at the local bar, she feels something, but can't quite figure out what she is feeling. When a giant of a man comes to her rescue against a drunk, she feels that she belongs with him.
It's a fast-paced romance with the shifter insta-love quotient met. They have a hot connection. It's a super-fast read and really only is about 70% of the book. The rest is not part of Zakari's story. I enjoyed it and can't wait to see the next brother's journey.

This short story was nothing short of HAWT. The chemistry between the characters was palpable.
Zakari's desire for a mate is heartfelt. He knows what is missing from his life, but he can feel her close by, as if Fate is taunting him. Bethany is only in town to care for her ailing grandmother. She takes a bookkeeping job at a local bar just to get out of the house. Her grandmother's bitterness is weighing heavy on her soul, but she doesn't feel as though she can abandon her.
All it takes is one look from Zakari for Bethany to know that she's his mate. The one woman who's destined to be his for the rest of their lives. She feels the pull towards him and does her best to act naturally. Zakari doesn't want to scare her off, so he gives her space to come to terms with their mating.
The sex scenes are hot and definitely not safe for work.

This was a quick, hot read.
I enjoyed it book, however, I feel that there was no character development.
The chemistry between Zakari and Bethany was pretty hot. I just wished we got to see more of a relationship between the two of them.
For me, it was a three-star book.

This is the first in a new series, and as there are plenty of un-mated brothers, we have a few more stories to come.
I liked the simplicity of the story, and found that the epilogue (which is a bit hidden at the end, past what seems like a preview of the next book... so keep reading!) was the best bit, as it showed that the instant connection of the mates results a long lasting relationship. I was not a huge fan of the inner voice all the time, but as Bethany was clearly alone in the town, she had no one to share her thoughts with at that point.
It is a perfect afternoon read.

Super short and super-hot shifter romance. Zakari and his five brothers are bear shifters who live out in the woods, all living life looking for their mates. They frequently visit a bar in town where Zakari winds up catching the scent of the new employee and knows immediately she is his mate. Bethany has come to town to take care of her ailing and grumpy grandmother; knowing she can’t stay in town jobless, she winds up working as a bookkeeper at the local bar and is relatively confused when Zakari claims ownership of her from the moment their eyes meet. Zakari, being a shifter, fully understands the pull to Bethany, but this is all new to Bethany and she doesn’t understand how she can need someone so much that she just met.
Definitely a quick read but fantastic nonetheless and I absolutely loved the epilogue. The author does a brilliant job with not only Zakari and Bethany’s story but also giving us a glimpse of the brothers whose stories we’ll hopefully be getting next!
