The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks by Max Monroe Blog Tour

I’m Luciana Wright.
Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I’m anything but.

I have a long history of dating the wrong men.

You know the ones I’m talking about.
The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true.
The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships.

I’m talking about the jerks.

The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad.

After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I’d learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways.

But, let’s be real here, love is never that easy.

Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved.

Aussie accent.
Tanned skin.
Muscular, surfer bod.
Gorgeous brown eyes.
And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees.

Oh, did I mention that he’s also my best friend’s brother?

Yeah. This story, my story, it’s a real doozy you guys.

The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen—the biggest jerk of all.

This is the first of a duet, and thankfully the wait for the second book is short, because I am absolutely ready for it NOW!!!

I have to admit it took me a few pages to get into the first person, podcast style delivery, but it soon became a conversation between me and Lucky. It maybe also be true that I had more empathy to her plight that I should probably admit to! The fascinating bit which will not leave my head is something that Ollie said to her right at the end of the book. And partly that is because I wonder if that is my issue too... so, now you understand why I need the next book asap...

Seriously this is a fun story about a web journalist who gets sent on a six-month trip reporting on surfing competitions – I wish this element reflected my reality, but really, not! It is particularly amusing, as Luciana, aka Lucky, cannot even swim, and has never even watched surfing on TV. She loves fashion, high heels, and... sadly, the wrong kind of men. There are plenty of men, the question is are they also all the wrong one? We learn pretty early on who may not be, but are left waiting for the next installment to find out just how the things turn out.

I definitely recommend that you pick this up and enjoy the crazy love life of (unlucky) Lucky!

This book is laugh out loud hilarious. The story is told in a unique perspective which I adored. The writing of Max and Monroe keeps getting better and better.

Lucky Wright is a journalist whose love life is nothing to write home about. She seems to have the worst luck in men. Granted, she likes the bad boys, but when a guy fake moves out of the country to break up with her, it’s the final straw. She's done with men.

Until she meets Oliver "Ollie" Arsen. Former pro surfer and CEO of Surf Arsen. He's a jerk, but he's also cute. But he's a jerk, a big one. Lucky knows that just because she's put herself on a jerk restricted diet doesn't mean she can't help picking them out of a crowd and looking for the silver lining.

As she gets to know Ollie, she begins to think her first impression of Ollie might have been skewed due to her recent break up. That is, until Ollie reverts back to type and Lucky is once again angry at herself for falling for a jerk.

I can't wait to read Ollie's side of the story, which will be in about two short weeks. Keep 'em coming Max and Monroe. Your audience awaits. 😊
