My name is Oliver Arsen, but my mates call me Ollie.
I live hard and love harder, and it’s love that usually gets me in the most trouble.
According to the greater population, I’m the ultimate jerk.
My affection tends to be short-lived—a quality I’ve been assured multiple times by the fairer sex isn’t becoming—and the leaving part of loving and leaving has always come natural.
At least, it used to.
Until her.
Luciana Wright.
She’s an American bombshell and my sister’s best friend—a woman so wrong for me, it’s written in the waves.
And she’s the reason we’re all here.
The reason I have to go back to explain how it all went wrong.
To the day the jerk started falling.

Mary Jo – ☆☆☆☆
I don't know how Max and Monroe manage to keep their stories fresh and relevant, but they do. Ollie's version of his and Lucky's relationship didn't disappoint in the least.
Ollie's honesty was refreshing. He admitted to his faults, owned up to his mistakes, and professed his love for Lucky in a very prominent fashion without being over the top or snarky. It was just the truth.
His version of their courtship differed from Lucky's in that she was always expecting the worst life could throw at you, while Ollie was busy falling in love. In actual love. In that he knew from early on, that Lucky was the one for him.
I think Ollie should be a role model for other people who have a hard time expressing their feelings. Put yourself out there, be vulnerable, it makes you just that much more adorable.

This is the second in the duet – and you most definitely need to read the first book first and ideally back to back!
Ollie opens up his heart to Lucky, using her own medium of podcasts to get his message across. With help from his sister Allie, and her boss, Vanessa, his podcasts are on the Scoop website, where he hopes that Lucky will see them and understand what she means to him. As he shows his side of the story from the very first time they met, we get some insight into just how far he fell, and how his behaviour let him down. It was funny listening to him admit to how he was affected by her, and lovely to get his view on her podcasts too. He is a brave man revealing all – well, except the truly private bits!
We then get to the tension section... I assure you it is all worthwhile, but I am not going to say more, because really you need to enjoy it yourself, completely without preconceptions!
A really lovely duet, with a very clever way of telling a love story which is full of fun, passion, and above all, honesty. Thank you to the duo of authors who created Ollie and Lucky.
