Our Rules by Jennifer Kacey

When the foundation of their marriage falters, Michael and Tabitha must rediscover what it means for her to be his hot wife.

Tabitha is a hot wife. Not just a sexy wife. A hot wife. A wife allowed to be with other men with the permission of her husband.

Michael couldn’t love his wife more. Which is exactly why he shares her with others. Because she’s his.

On the cusp of everything they’re worked for—years in the making—a shattered promise threatens the foundation of their marriage. A foundation Michael had thought unbreakable until he lets Tabitha down in more ways than one.

Taking her submission for granted could lose him everything he’s strived for, and winning back her trust is the only thing that matters.

Reader Advisory: This book contains references to consensual adultery, references to physical and emotional child abuse, and to a past emotionally abuse relationship.

M/F/M and M/F BDSM Romance

Michael and Tabitha have been married for quite some time. Their meeting was almost instant-love. Michael describes that he saw her and fell instantly in love.

Tabitha is struggling with her marriage. She feels that Michael has been putting her wishes aside and not paying attention to her. And because they have a Dom/sub relationship, she's floundering.

Without going into too much detail, the betrayed trust is kind of the issues, but with their dynamic, they have to decide how to balance work, life, and playtime.

Overall, the couple had great chemistry and the sex was fantastic; however, their communication was less than great. I do wish that they had more development in their relationship – it seems that they "spoke" the same language only in the bedroom.

However, I would really like to see the other characters in this book get their own stories too.

Michael and Tabitha have a great relationship, or at least they did. Tabitha is a "hot wife." That means she gets to go on "dates" with other men. Michael absolutely adores his wife and the feeling is quite mutual. The two enjoy the kink lifestyle, but with the kink comes some rules. Rules designed to make both feel safe, loved, and cared for while they keep their relationship open to others. Michael's business starts taking off and it's more successful than he ever could have hoped for, but is that a good thing? Long hours, late nights, missed dinners, and RULES being bent can cave in the best of foundations and Tabitha is feeling the fractures. Things fall apart one night especially after a missed "date." The two struggle to find their happily ever after.

I enjoyed the short story but the two characters are over-the-TOP lovey dovey. I mean Over the TOP!!! It got a bit sticky sweet with pet names and sayings, just a bit of a turn off for me. Otherwise, this was a pretty hot ménage story.

Jennifer Kacey is a writer, mother, and business owner living with her miniman in Texas. She sings in the shower, plays piano in her dreams, and has to have a different color of nail polish every week. She’s the Amazon top seller and award winning author of the Elite Warriors, Members Only, Fantasies A-Z, and the Surrender Series along with quite a few standalone novels and novellas.

Everything she writes is a little bit dark and a whole lotta naughty! She pushes the boundaries in each of her books and hopes her characters stay with you long after the last page of each story is read.

The best advice she’s ever been given? Find the real you and never settle for anything less.
