When Adam and Javier met in Mi Amor, Adam was a
late-night party boy and Javier an early-rising hard-driving real estate
developer. Javier encouraged Adam to leave town for business school—but does he
still love the new, more adult Adam who returns with his MBA? Will the big
venture Javier began while Adam was away tear apart their relationship? And,
most importantly, will his conservative Cuban-American parents ever condone his
marriage to another man?

Ruthie – ☆☆☆
I must admit I read this as a standalone, whereas it is really a continuation of Mi Amor. That said, I enjoyed it as it was, although will read Mi Amor sometime, as there were some very interesting side characters who probably have fun backstories.
In the beginning it felt a little strange to run through two years of MBA study so quickly, but once Adam was back in Miami, the story really began. It was a good mix of two men finding their way in the world of real estate development and combining it with a serious and permanent relationship, as well as having to deal with family issues, and their future plans. It was hot and passionate, as well as cool and career focused. I enjoyed the mix.
Would be good to get more stories about the rest of the gang and pop and see how these guys move forward.
