The stinging hot needles of Grisham’s shower feels heavenly as it washes the sand and salt off of my body. I smile to myself as I run my hands through my wet hair, remembering how amazing the day was. I’m also remembering how hot Grisham is on a surfboard. He’s such a natural out there, dipping low on his board when he needs to and riding each wave in effortlessly. He never once lost a wave.

It was an incredible day.

And now that same hot, sexy guy is waiting for me somewhere in his house while I shower. I can’t keep the smile off my face.

Suddenly, a warm hand slides around my waist until it rests on my stomach. I gasp as Grisham yanks me back against the hard planes of his wet body, and one of my arms immediately goes up to wrap around the back of his neck.

“You’re fucking beautiful,” he groans into my ear. I can feel it; he’s hard and ready for me, and I turn in his arms to face him.

I’m so not prepared for the sight of Grisham fully naked in the shower with me.

My eyes roam greedily from his broad, tattooed shoulders to the muscled wall of his chest. Then they drift down to the rack of abdominal muscles that could and should definitely be in a magazine. A trail of dark hair leads down to the impressive length of his cock, and a whimper escapes me. I pull my eyes away to travel down his thick thighs and cantaloupe-sized calf, before my gaze meanders lazily up his body once more.

And when I meet his gaze, I’m instantly wet and ready for him, more so than I’ve ever been before. Because the sight of a man that looks like Grisham devouring every inch of me in return is beyond hot.

“I’m done waiting,” he grinds out, just before his lips collide with mine.

Mary Jo☆☆☆☆
Grisham Abbot is trying to find himself and one of the few places in the world that he feels safe enough to do that is at a secluded beach in Lone Sands. Since his injury and return from Syria, he's been trying to heal himself, body and soul, and watching the waves with his buddies, trying to build up his nerve to just get in the water, never mind getting on a surfboard again.

His mind is made up for him one sunny day when he hears a scream and sees someone floating in the water, he swims out and tows her to safety. He's surprised to see it’s Greta Owens and is even more determined to make her wake up.

Greta wakes up to find tall, sweet and sexy looking at down at her. Recognizing him as the guy who was hung up on her former roommate, she's more embarrassed than hurt – or so she believes. A trip to the ER and a diagnosis of a concussion is all Greta's roommate needs to push Greta and Grisham to spend more time together.

As their friendship grows, so does the attraction between them. What really made me like this story was how well it was developed. The author took the time for each character to get to know the other and what made them tick.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next in the series.

Grisham Abbott feels at home in two places, the ocean and being a Navy SEAL. When he is injured on a mission and is sent home after a lengthy hospital stay, he is back home and back at the ocean wondering if today will be the day that he will get back on his surfboard. When you lose a foot, it is a big adjustment to learn to surf with a prosthetic foot. When he hears someone scream and the sound is coming from the water. He is on a part of the beach that is sort of private so there is no lifeguard. He dives in without thinking about his foot because that is what he does. He saves people when they are in need. When he sees who it is that he saves, he can't believe it. It has been a few years since he has seen Greta Owen and she is more beautiful than he remembers. He seems to be drawn to her and knows that she will not be a one-night stand kinda girl. They begin to spend time together and get to know each other and soon both are feeling more for each other. Someone is sending roses and gifts to Greta and Grisham can't figure out who her stalker is. While Greta thinks that if she doesn't think about it, then the stalker will not bother her. I wanted her to tell her father more about it and let him help protect her. Can Grisham keep Greta safe and learn to live a life after being a Navy SEAL? Will Greta give her heart away and still get hurt by a man who puts his job before her as her mother did? And who is stalking Greta and will they figure it out before it is too late?

This is a first for me from Diana Gardin and I loved this story. It has pain, love, lust, suspense, and a little alpha male possessiveness. I can't wait to read more from her.
