Hey everyone! I’m so excited for the release of Bound to Submit, the first official book in my brand new and super-hot Blasphemy series! And today, I’m sharing an excerpt from the book, an erotic second-chance love story featuring a tormented Dom and a veteran amputee heroine – this is my first story with a female veteran and I adored writing Kenna’s character! I hope you’ll enjoy this taste and pick up your copy – and welcome to Blasphemy!

Now, here’s a peak at the emotion and connection between Griffin and Kenna in Bound to Submit – enjoy!

“You came for me,” Kenna whispered, peering up at Griffin standing at her front door. She hadn’t thought she wanted to see him tonight after their fight, but now she knew she was wrong. Because, God, his rugged face looked a whole lot like coming home.

“I did,” he said, stepping closer. So close that his heat warmed her body. “And I’ll keep doing it until you tell me to stop.”

“Griffin,” she whispered, the intensity in his voice stirring so much inside her. Feelings, memories, desires.

“Aw, baby, come here,” he said, pulling her into a bear hug so comforting that she choked out a little cry from the sheer relief of it.

Kenna buried her face in his broad chest and breathed him in. Her arms circled his strong back, and then they stood there for a long time, just holding each other. How could he make her feel so much when they’d been apart for so long? Why did this feel so natural with Griffin despite those years? How could she find a moment like this one, of such peace and solace, after all they’d been through?

She didn’t know, but part of her wondered if the whys and hows mattered. Some people waited their wholes lives to find even a fraction of what she felt in that moment. Maybe that was what mattered. Maybe that was all that mattered.

“Can I please come in?” he asked, his lips against her hair.

She nodded, motioning for him to enter. “It’s, um, it’s not much.” She looked around the small studio—it looked like a dorm, only without any personality or color.

“It’s where you are,” he said. “That’s all that matters to me.”

He was killing her with his sweetness right now, he really was. “Um. Okay.” She grasped the end of her stump, shielding it with her hand. “Can I get you something to drink? I think I have—”

“Baby.” He got right up in her space again.

“What?”

Baby,” he whispered, leaning in close. His lips brushed her cheek. “You don’t have to entertain me. You don’t have to hide from me.” Gently, he pulled her fingers from what was left of her forearm.

She released a shaky breath. “It’s not pretty.”

He shook his head and made a noise low in his throat. “No, it’s not. It’s fucking beautiful. Because it’s a part of you. A part of you that got injured in the service of your country, Kenna. Your arm is a damn badge of honor as far as I’m concerned. Come here.”

A warm pressure expanded within her chest. What was he doing to her? Because right now, his words were wrapping around her as tight as his ropes ever did.

I really enjoyed Kenna and Griffin's story! She's a Marine, home after losing her arm in the war. He was her Dominant, until she asked for more in their relationship that he didn't think he could give. Kenna hasn't been in the submissive role since she joined the military, but the PTSD and the pain of losing her arm, and her best friend, in Afghanistan has her seeking out the solace of subspace again! She returns to her old BDSM club, Blasphemy, an old church turned into a sex club. Griffin is still a Master at the club and he sees Kenna in the crowd during his Shibari demonstration. After 5 years of not being able to find her, he can’t believe his eyes or his luck. She's the one he let get away! I loved their D/s relationship and really enjoyed Griffin as a dominant character! Kenna with her prosthesis was a really interesting take on this kind of erotica genre. This couple had sparks flying off the page along with some real emotion. Definitely will be reading more in this series!

Kenna Sloane has survived war, but the guilt she is feeling might be the end for her. When on patrol with fellow Marines, an IED is triggered, killing two Marines and wounding Kenna to the point of losing part of her arm. After several surgeries, she is back home and is now a motivational speaker for other veterans. But the guilt she feels over the loss of her best friend, Georgia, and the phantom pain she has is not getting better for her. When she is trying to sleep one night, she hears a voice from her past. Griffin Hudson was the man that broke her heart five years ago and was part of the reason she joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

Griffin is still hoping that Kenna will come back to him. After he told her he didn’t want a relationship all those years ago, it took him a few weeks to realize that he had made a mistake. But he couldn’t find her, it was like she vanished. So he is working the front desk at Blasphemy, the BDSM club that is run by twelve masters, and on his way to do a scene he notices a name on the list. Kenna (submissive), can it really be his Kenna?

Can Kenna get Master Griffin to help her to heal from the pain and guilt she feels from losing her friend? Will Master Griffin make her see that he still loves her? Can they give love a second chance?

I have to say that I am sucker for Marines in a story and when it turns out to be a kick-ass heroine, hell yeah I want to read it. And throw in a hero like Master Griffin and a BDSM club, and it’s a book I can’t put down. I can’t wait for more from this group of doms and their subs.

When Kenna enlisted, she was a bit lost. She had just told her dominant she was in love with him and wanted a relationship. He said he didn't feel the same way. She was crushed. As a Marine, she learned to stand on her own. When an IED exploded, killing two of her friends and causing her to lose part of her arm. Now she was home, full of guilt and needing an escape. Could going back to Blasphemy and being a submissive again be what she needed? Would being an amputee interfere with that life? Can she handle seeing the one man who stole her heart?

I really enjoyed Kenna and Griffin's story. Their chemistry together was explosive. I can't wait to see what's next.

Triggers: Military Loss, PTSD, Trauma from war

This is such a sweet story. I loved how Kenna was an amazing warrior. She knew that something was missing for her when her long time dom was unable to make a commitment to her. She chose to continue her service through joining the Marines. During her time there, she loves what she is doing, how she's helping, and makes some amazing friendships. Unfortunately, her tours end in tragedy.

Now that she's home, civilian life is proving more difficult than she is willing to admit to anyone, including herself. Despite knowing that she is helping people through the work that she is doing in the States, Kenna wants to feel again – emotion, pain – she's just empty right now.

Kenna believes that perhaps what is missing, is her ability to serve again. She knew that submission was something that helped to ground her, so she goes back to Blasphemy and hopes to find someone who can help her feel again.

Then you have Griffin. He is the dom who was unable to commit. However, what you get when you re-meet Griffin is a man who is searching for the feelings he had when he was Kenna's dom. He knows that he lost out when she told him she wanted more and he was unable to fulfill that request. Not only does he know what he's lost, he's now surrounded by several members who have been able to find that ultimate connection and he's feeling a little lost.

Kenna puts on her big girl panties and shows up at Blasphemy, not knowing whether or not she'll find Griffin – AND, even if she does, he may already have a relationship going. However, she knows that this will help her. When they see each other again – sparks fly. Kaye is able to really allow the reader to see the connection between Kenna and Griffin is still there. Kenna also has connections with other doms in the facility – because you can see that they recognize her too. I love the dialogue among all of the members.

The guilt that surfaces is hard to watch/read - you can really feel the emotions that both characters experience, but in the end, their connection is one that people dream about. Not only does the Shibari sound amazing and sexy, the way that Kaye writes how the characters feel their own connection to Shibari is just as powerful.

I can't wait for more books in this series!!!

This is a book with a very poignant message, and a searingly hot second chance around relationship. I think that the way that it played out, and the clear desire and care that was shown were fabulous to read. The importance that Kenna placed on her career, were instrumental to making the situation one of rekindling a relationship rather than taking on blame for what happened to her. Kenna was a strong character, which fitted her military role, and also happiest when submissive in a D/s dynamic. That she trusted Griffin, even after their past together, recognises that she needed the trust that they had before, even if he damaged their emotional relationship so badly. He is indeed a lucky man that he gets a second chance, and thankfully we get to witness it. Loved details, such as the tattoo, and that there were some lovely humorous lines, as well as some very tear inducing ones.

Really good story, look forward to more in the series.
