Storm of Ecstasy by Setta Jay

As the son of Hades and a Guardian of the Realms, Pothos has been gifted with immense power to protect the inhabitants of the four Realms of Earth. When the evil God Apollo is stolen and the Guardians are forced to wake Hades from his sleeping confinement, P is faced with a long held dangerous secret; that he was born of two worlds. Learning that his mother was a Priestess from the unknown world of Thule, Hades also confesses that P has been kept hidden from all who dwell there as his very life is in danger the moment their Gods learn of his existence. As P struggles to make sense of the life he has lived and what this means for his future he finds himself forcibly pulled into Thule by an unstoppable divine force. Bracing for attack, he instead finds himself faced with a threat of a different sort, a beautiful golden Goddess who calls to the very depths of his soul.

Gefn is a Goddess of Thule, dedicated to the preservation of her world. A world constantly faced with wildly shifting energy left behind in the wake of warring Gods. Haunted after witnessing the brutal murders of her closest friends, her Priestesses, she has lived a life of relative loneliness but for her few remaining siblings and her pair of giant, magical lynx gifted to her at birth. They are Guardians of Thule and her most trusted companions. When they lead her to a hidden garden outside her missing sister’s palace she is shocked to find a winged male who calls to her most primal desires, unleashing her power in a way that sweeps her into a passion she’s never known. His sudden disappearance leads her and her brothers into a tense and deadly standoff in another world.

As both worlds collide will Pothos and Gefn’s unique mating end in his death? Or will the strength of their love help them survive a storm of ecstasy as they uncover more secrets that could save them all?

Warning: Gods gone crazy, bad language, dirty talk, and explicit scenes meant for mature audiences.

Shelby☆☆☆☆
This entire series has been fantastic! I will say that each story builds upon the last, but more so in books #8 and #9 – please don't start with this book (and honestly, they're all worth reading).

This is the story of Pothos (aka P), Hades son. He's a powerful demigod who has always been a low-key character. All the Guardians are amazing in their own ways, but P has always been intriguing.

Gefn is also a very powerful goddess from a different world, Thule. We learn more about this world and its history, but much is still to be discovered.

If you've been following the series, then you know the relations between the Guardians and Thule are a bit strained. We're still missing Apollo and have no idea why the Thulians want him, or how they plan to use him.

The build-up to the conclusion of the series is killing me, so many questions still aren't answered, but I love the dynamic between the couples. Each couple is becoming more powerful with shared abilities, which keeps making me ask the question: What is really going on?

The romance in this book is sizzling, the erotic scenes are [always] amazing, and the introduction of the other world, Thule, is just adding more curiosity. I can't wait for the conclusion, but yet don't want it to end.

This is the ninth book in the series – and take heed of the warning at the beginning, this is not really a stand-alone book. That said, Ms. Jay has provided a quick primer to help out, and I must admit I found it useful too, as I haven't visited the Guardians in a while.

As always, we have a development in the underlying plot of the Gods, Worlds, and Guardians – there is a quite dramatic revelation too, so be warned! Finally, Pothos is heading for his chance at happiness. Because he knows more about the mating rituals thanks to his fellow Guardians who have led the way, some things are easier – but the identity of his mate is somewhat complicated and rather a shock to him, his father Hades, and the rest of the team. He has to deal with a very unhappy couple of siblings who do not want him to choose their sister – but this is no choice, but fate. I loved the cats – especially the attraction to Vane, made me really chuckle. A lovely new dynamic to the bonding story.

We are certainly going to be on the edge with what has been foretold in this installment...oh, and a baby is about to join the fun!

Setta Jay is the author of the popular Guardians of the Realms Series. She's garnered attention and rave reviews in the paranormal romance world for writing smart, slightly innocent heroines and intense alpha males. She loves writing stories that incorporate a strong plot with a heavy dose of heat. Her influences include Judith McNaught who she feels writes a smart heroine to perfection, Gena Showalter, Maya Banks and Lora Leigh.  You can often find her writing compared to JR Ward, but if you are a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood be warned that Setta Jay’s novels are more erotic in nature.

Born a California girl, she currently resides in Idaho with her husband of ten plus years who she describes as incredibly sexy and supportive, even when it’s Willy Wednesday on Twitter. ;)

She loves to hear from readers so feel free to find her on social media or send her an email and she will happily reply.
