Destined to Crave by Setta Jay

The descendant of two almighty Gods and a Guardian of Earth, Eirykr “Rykr” is born of immense power. Yet, no amount of strength or skill can save him from the curse that tore him away from his first and only love. Turned into a shadowy assassin, he wields the demons bound to his soul with the ruthlessness of a blade. For nearly a decade, he’s searched for the key to free himself, all the while watching over and dangerously craving the beautiful mate who believes she’s driven him away.

Lucy is a born protector, a trait of her Guardian lineage. When her greatest gift was torn from her, leaving a gaping hole in her soul, she refuses to allow a young Rykr, her known mate, to suffer the same dire consequences. Her fear forces her to make a haunting decision and with a grave threat, she crushes him, demanding they part for a decade. Yet, as the years pass she can feel him watching her from the shadows, conjuring wild fantasies that make her ache for him to finally end their torment.

As time ticks toward the decade mark, dark forces rush to descend. Will Rykr’s secret and relentless need to protect Lucy condemn them to a hopeless destiny of constant craving? Or will Lucy bind them for all eternity, no matter the violent threat to her very soul?

For any fan of the Guardians series (and I definitely count myself in that gang) this is a no brainer read! For anyone else – this is a brilliant introduction to the world which Ms. Jay has created, and may well set you on the path to reading the original series before the next of this one is released... be warned, seriously addictive, and super, super hot. The worlds that have been created deserve the stories to continue, so I am so happy that they are!

Although this is a novella, it contains a tragic love story; it gives us a step forward with a potential for another major issue for the Guardians to resolve, and inevitably it would seem that Artemis is at the start of all the troubles... Obviously I only want the best for Rykr and Lucy – but I fear that might be far too simple long term!

So happy that this world is back for us to dive into and enjoy!

I love that we now get to read a series about the children of the Guardians of the Realm! The Guardians of the Realm was a fantastic series, and the Descended of Guardians is shaping up to be the same.

Rykr and Lucy are fated mates, they've known since they were young. What they didn't do is allow the mating to take hold. Instead they lived their lives separately, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the original plan to wait may not be in their future.

I really enjoyed reading their back stories, finding out who they are, and hoping for their future. This was such a quick read, it left me wanting more... MUCH more. Not to say this wasn't a complete story, but I love these characters and this world, I will never have enough!

Eternal Ecstasy by Setta Jay

As the ruling God of Thule, Hroarr's priority is the survival of his world. Gifted with the ancient ability of sjá, he has seen the birth and destruction of hundreds of worlds. This incredible power comes at an enormous cost, yet its toll seems to ease in the presence of a hauntingly seductive healer from Earth.

Sirena’s life is comprised of duty. Duty to her Guardian family, to healing those of her world and, most of all, the overwhelming duty to right the wrongs of her secret and vile bloodline. With everything on her plate a ruthless warlord God from another world is the last thing she needs, no matter what fate and her heated body demands.

Will a dark Destroyer of Worlds bring upon the end of Earth and Thule or will two strong-minded beings fight and discover their own eternal ecstasy?

*This is the finale of the Guardians and the Realms series and is not meant to be read as a standalone title*

Warning: Take one possessive, dirty talking Warrior God and one smart, no nonsense Healer; combine and shake things up for explosive results and scorching content meant for mature audiences!

Shelby☆☆☆☆☆
The final book in The Guardians of the Realms series was exciting, sexy, and satisfying! (These books should definitely be read in order to be able to appreciate the full effect.)

Sirena is one of my favorite characters. She's hard working, reliable, dependable, and so very lonely. Proving to be the backbone of the Guardians and the "healer" – she's so caught up in work, at all times, she rarely takes the time to relax. She's also convinced she'll never be lucky enough to find "the one" due to her genetics (i.e., NEEDING a man to prove to be stronger than her).
It just so happens that Hroarr, the God of Thule, is JUST the man for her!!
Yes, he's domineering and cold, he's calculating and emotionless, but he has his reasons.
When the fate of all falls on your shoulders, you just don't have time to worry about romance... unless it falls in your lap.
As can be expected, the development of Sirena and Hroarr's relationship is fantastic. Learning about these characters and watching them come together is rewarding, as is the sexy time.

The entire series has been building up to this very moment! Each of the guardians are featured in the epic battle for the world.
This was a great conclusion to a fantastic series, which has definite re-readability!

This is the tenth and final book in the series. I would absolutely recommend that you read these in order. In case you have forgotten any details (or really feel the need to read this as a standalone), Ms. Jay kindly gives a quick primer at the beginning of the book.

We had a hint at this pairing at the very end of the previous book, but the course of their relationship does not follow the same mating frenzy as earlier couples. But Hroarr is busy trying to save the world, and takes a while to recognise Sirena's value. Given how she has been invaluable as a healer through the whole series, it was only right that she gets her chance. And once they do work things out, oh, Ms. Jay turns the heat up in her own indomitable style... burning hot and extra steamy!

The underlying story through all the books is wonderfully complex and very engaging. It has grown to such a crescendo that it was difficult to believe that it could be resolved, but of course it is, and in a very exciting and satisfying way. Inevitably the whole team are needed, so we get to enjoy seeing them all again. I have loved reading this series that a very vivid and well-read imagination has created for us to enjoy. I know that should I have a window of opportunity, I will be reading them all one after the other to get the full force of the story in one go.

Thank you Ms. Jay for sharing this super sexy and very imaginative series.

Storm of Ecstasy by Setta Jay

As the son of Hades and a Guardian of the Realms, Pothos has been gifted with immense power to protect the inhabitants of the four Realms of Earth. When the evil God Apollo is stolen and the Guardians are forced to wake Hades from his sleeping confinement, P is faced with a long held dangerous secret; that he was born of two worlds. Learning that his mother was a Priestess from the unknown world of Thule, Hades also confesses that P has been kept hidden from all who dwell there as his very life is in danger the moment their Gods learn of his existence. As P struggles to make sense of the life he has lived and what this means for his future he finds himself forcibly pulled into Thule by an unstoppable divine force. Bracing for attack, he instead finds himself faced with a threat of a different sort, a beautiful golden Goddess who calls to the very depths of his soul.

Gefn is a Goddess of Thule, dedicated to the preservation of her world. A world constantly faced with wildly shifting energy left behind in the wake of warring Gods. Haunted after witnessing the brutal murders of her closest friends, her Priestesses, she has lived a life of relative loneliness but for her few remaining siblings and her pair of giant, magical lynx gifted to her at birth. They are Guardians of Thule and her most trusted companions. When they lead her to a hidden garden outside her missing sister’s palace she is shocked to find a winged male who calls to her most primal desires, unleashing her power in a way that sweeps her into a passion she’s never known. His sudden disappearance leads her and her brothers into a tense and deadly standoff in another world.

As both worlds collide will Pothos and Gefn’s unique mating end in his death? Or will the strength of their love help them survive a storm of ecstasy as they uncover more secrets that could save them all?

Warning: Gods gone crazy, bad language, dirty talk, and explicit scenes meant for mature audiences.

Shelby☆☆☆☆
This entire series has been fantastic! I will say that each story builds upon the last, but more so in books #8 and #9 – please don't start with this book (and honestly, they're all worth reading).

This is the story of Pothos (aka P), Hades son. He's a powerful demigod who has always been a low-key character. All the Guardians are amazing in their own ways, but P has always been intriguing.

Gefn is also a very powerful goddess from a different world, Thule. We learn more about this world and its history, but much is still to be discovered.

If you've been following the series, then you know the relations between the Guardians and Thule are a bit strained. We're still missing Apollo and have no idea why the Thulians want him, or how they plan to use him.

The build-up to the conclusion of the series is killing me, so many questions still aren't answered, but I love the dynamic between the couples. Each couple is becoming more powerful with shared abilities, which keeps making me ask the question: What is really going on?

The romance in this book is sizzling, the erotic scenes are [always] amazing, and the introduction of the other world, Thule, is just adding more curiosity. I can't wait for the conclusion, but yet don't want it to end.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the ninth book in the series – and take heed of the warning at the beginning, this is not really a stand-alone book. That said, Ms. Jay has provided a quick primer to help out, and I must admit I found it useful too, as I haven't visited the Guardians in a while.

As always, we have a development in the underlying plot of the Gods, Worlds, and Guardians – there is a quite dramatic revelation too, so be warned! Finally, Pothos is heading for his chance at happiness. Because he knows more about the mating rituals thanks to his fellow Guardians who have led the way, some things are easier – but the identity of his mate is somewhat complicated and rather a shock to him, his father Hades, and the rest of the team. He has to deal with a very unhappy couple of siblings who do not want him to choose their sister – but this is no choice, but fate. I loved the cats – especially the attraction to Vane, made me really chuckle. A lovely new dynamic to the bonding story.

We are certainly going to be on the edge with what has been foretold in this installment...oh, and a baby is about to join the fun!

Divine Ecstasy by Setta Jay

The slave of demented Gods, Sacha knew only a life of anguish and suffering until she was reborn as a Guardian of the Realms. Gifted with immense strength and rare abilities, she has spent thousands of years battling to protect the four Realms with her Guardian family. Time has allowed her to construct the perfect mask of calm and control so none can see the past shame and immense pain buried in the darkest recesses of her mind. Now, an encounter with a new and powerful enemy has left Sacha the victim of a poison induced coma that all are unable to heal. The last thing anyone imagines waking her is a God with the strength and potential to unravel her entire world.

As the most powerful of the Gods, Hades was awakened from the Creators’ enforced sleep to help the Guardians in their quest to find his heinous brother, Apollo. After a brutal battle with an unknown Goddess leaves him in need of healing he finds himself powerfully drawn into the room of a sleeping seductress. Her soul calls to him relentlessly, but if he surrenders himself to that connection and gives her the strength to heal, life as he knows it will end.

With their worlds unraveling and new threats at every turn will Sacha’s past destroy them? Or will she bring a God to his knees and lead them both into Divine Ecstasy.

Warning: Sexually explicit content, dirty language and Gods behaving badly.

Shelby☆☆☆☆
FINALLY we get a story about a Female Guardian!

While all of these stories are super, ridiculously HOT – this story was a bit different from the previous books.

First of all we have Sacha, aka Bastian's "mom," who has been severely injured in battle with an unknown foe. She's missed much of the action (Drake, Hades, etc.) and is awoken to quite the surprise. Hades, always known as a Ladies Man, comes to the rescue for the Guardians once again, but not in the traditional way. ;)

As overprotective as the male Guardians are, Hades really puts them to shame – and it's fantastic to behold.

As awesome as this series is, I did miss the "Frenzy" and Blood Bonding rituals in this story – but I do understand how/why they were bypassed.

As can be expected, the main story keeps getting more amped and I can NOT wait to get my hands on the next book!

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the ninth in the series and you really do need to read them in order to understand the underlying quest, and the ongoing side relationships too. As we can assume from the title, this book involves not just a Guardian, but a Deity. This does change the dynamics from previous stories, and gives us some insight into the past fights that Hades has had with his fellow Gods.

We start with Sacha still out cold and no sense that she can be healed – yet Hades holds their combined future in his hands. As their pasts collide with their fate, they have a lot of learning to do. The passion and intensity is much more cerebral than in previous stories – although it is still just as hot when they do come together. Even though it is thousands of years in the past, the treatment that Sacha suffered at the hands of Hades’ brothers causes them both great pain – but their strength together is proven as they seal their physical bond as well as their souls. The ongoing plot is definitely changed now that a God is on the side of the Guardians, but it remains to be seen just what a difference this will make in the next story.
