Book one leaves you pondering what Heavenly is going to do. Book two starts exactly where book one stops.

Beck and Seth have decided that being enemies will not achieve their goal of having Heavenly. When Heavenly learns that Beck is married, she doesn't know what to think, but with her dad's health looming over her, she doesn't really have time to think about it.

Beck knows that he has to fix the problem, but with his past, something he never speaks about, he's not sure how to go about fixing the mess he's put them in.

Raine is one of Heavenly's only friends and agrees to help Heavenly on her quest to travel to Wisconsin. Back home to where she and her dad were the happiest. But when planning to leave, Heavenly knows that she has a lot to think about and so she decides that she has to leave Seth and Beck behind for her journey.

Neither of her men are happy about her decision, but with the issues that have now been brought up, both know that they have to back off and let Heavenly decide on her own whether or not she can trust them. Also, Seth and Beck know that despite their own personal proclivities, they have to introduce Heavenly to their world gently and slowly, so that she can adjust and hopefully accept them for all they want from her. I love how gentle they are with her and how they aren't too afraid to show her who they truly are.

Finally, the final conflict in this book is where most of the action comes in. I thought that it was a very well thought out conflict and really enjoyed watching everything come together and work itself out. I am very much looking forward to seeing more of this family and hope more books are to come.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the second book in the series, and you absolutely need to read The Choice first! It had been a while since I had read it, so I went back and indulged again, as I knew the experience would be all the richer – and it was. I am assuming you have too in my review.

At the very end of The Choice, Seth and Beck finally have Heavenly in their arms, and all three are willing to give the trio a chance – in no small part thanks to the interventions by Liam, Macen, and Raine (another wonderful story, if you have missed out on it – get reading! [Doms of Her Life]). But as they chase to the hospital for her father, she discovers that Beck is seeking a divorce... which clearly means he must be married!

However, this is merely a blip on the horizon compared to where this story goes with Beck's past... be prepared for the unexpected – and be ready for Seth also to have some secrets of his own, which will await us in the next installment.

As this engaging trio get to know each other better, they also have to try and navigate a course which enables Heavenly to honour her father, to continue with her career plans, and come to terms with the kinks that her men have previously indulged. She may be innocent, but she is not naive, and I found that to be an engaging characteristic – she wasn't disingenuous or coy, she was curious and open minded. Her shopping trips with Raine were fun and educational!

There is a lot of fun and lightness in this book but it goes dark too, and as we wait for Heavenly to make her decision and say those three littles words, life gets serious and needs the full team to come to the rescue. Moving, frightening, and unexpected, but it certainly coalesced her feelings.

I really need The Commitment NOW!!!!!

Dread burned her veins. She didn’t have to wonder how much they’d overheard. Obviously, it had been more than enough. Tonight had just gone from mortifying to catastrophic.

River backed away, hands raised. “Hey, just so you know, I turned her down because I like my balls where they are.”

“That’s the only reason you’re getting to keep them,” Beck insisted. “Seth told you to get the fuck out.”

“I’m leaving,” River assured, then glanced her way. “Good luck.”

Once he’d gone, silence descended. She was alone with the two men who had been tempting, confusing, and consuming her for months. They were going to demand answers.

This wouldn’t end well.

Heavenly drew in a shaky breath, startled to find both now inches away, arms crossed over their chests. Aggression rolled off them, filling the tense air. Heavenly is a very young, naïve woman who enthralls two different doms.

She is a hardworking, lovable woman whose first priority is her father. While he is sick with an auto-immune disease, she is able to befriend Beckman, a friendly surgeon who is immediately taken with Heavenly's pure nature. Despite Beckman's kinkier needs – he is a sadist – he can't help but want Heavenly for a sub.

Then you have Seth. He is also a dom but not a sadist. He is in town to help his good friend, but when he meets Heavenly, he too is immediately drawn to her sweetness and good heart.

You watch these two men try to figure out how to woo Heavenly and you also watch Heavenly struggle with wanting two different men. This was mostly about the three of them figuring out how and whether or not they could develop a relationship. There was a lot of buildup but not a lot of physical connection. What was described was steamy and just what you'd expect, but it was very little of the story.

I really enjoyed how this story was written. There were different points of view and I thought that really helped create the right atmosphere for when they all came together. Their chemistry is off the charts and their relationship, while unconventional, is one that will hopefully work for them all. While I wouldn't say that this is your typical story, all three authors wrote a compelling romance and I can't wait to see what happens next!


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the first in a new series – but we have met many of the characters in the first Doms of Her Life series, which means that it is very easy to fall straight back into that world. If you have not read them, then I would highly recommend you do. I would say before this one if you can, but this would be a good starting point too.

What a fabulous name for such an innocent character! Heavenly Young had to grow up far too quickly when her mother abandoned her and her sick father, but that stinted all standard growing up for a beautiful young woman. So when two, significantly older, and most definitely far more experienced men start to pay her attention, she is most confused. And possibly more amusingly to the reader, both the dominant (one even a sadist) men are confused by their feelings too! Really, this is the most fascinating setup of a ménage novel I have read in a long time.

Given the distance that all three of them have to travel, you can be sure that we get a wonderfully complex and intense story developing. Heavenly feels obliged to keep her home life private, as she is embarrassed at how she and her father live. She does, however, want to explore the feelings that both men incite in her. Beck and Seth, who have known Raine, Macen, and Liam and their story, have no intention of sharing Heavenly and so the competition is on...

Knowing that this was the first book in the series, I was well aware that my patience would be stretched as these three people come to terms with what could, what might, and what should be their future. But to be honest, the writing is so good, and the plot so full of twists and wonderful dialogue, the end drew close all too quickly. I defy you not to get all hot and bothered from the power of words and very little action.

I cannot wait to see how things move from the rather cliffhanger ending. So much more to come, of that I am sure!

Heavenly Young is a naïve young woman that knows nothing about love or being in love. With the way her mother left and her father being sick, she had to grow up really fast. She didn't get the chance to grow from a teenager to a young adult because she had to become her father’s caregiver. Now she is a volunteer at the hospital, taking internet classes to become a nurse, and working a night job to help pay the bills and cover her dad’s medicine.

Beck and Seth were drawn to her from the moment they saw her. They haven't had feelings like this before and they each want her for themselves. So they will fight for her feelings, even play a few jokes on each other to win her over.

Both men will figure out that they will have to work together to get Heavenly to see that they just want to protect her and help her. Can they work together to make that happen? Will she be able to let them in and tell them about her past?

I found this story well written and I would not have known it was by three authors if I hadn't saw it with my own eyes. It flows very well and is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat at times. There were a few places that dragged for me but not enough to make me stop reading. There is a big cliffhanger, so be prepared for that. I can't wait to see what happens next. And I need to go back and read Raine's books because I haven't read those yet.

I love The Doms of Genesis series! Each book CAN be read as a standalone, but reading the series in order is so much more entertaining. The stories do build on previous books, but you wouldn't be completely lost if you started later.

Seeking My Destiny is the story of the club's masochistic brat. She's the girl that everyone loves to hate. I believe she's been mentioned in each book of the series, and at no time has she been endearing. This is her story. (I have to admit that I'm amazed with Jenna Jacob's writing!)

Sasha Evans, aka Destiny, is a strong-willed, successful business woman. She owns and runs her own business. She keeps her business life separate from her personal life. Being a consummate brat, finding a dom/sadist to work with her tends to be difficult – until now. The picture-perfect man is willing and able to take her in hand. The only problem is that she has found someone else who has tickled her fancy. Two different men, two different approaches – so many possibilities!

I'm not willing to give anything away, but this was a very interesting, intriguing read. Finding out who Sasha is and why she is the way she is, along with Law and Cane, kept me on the edge of my seat. Have I mentioned this story is unbelievably steamy, HOT, scorching?!? It's all that.

Who knew Destiny could be likeable? Who knew Destiny could be loved?


Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆☆

Sasha is used to being in control. Whether it is in her personal life or her life as Destiny, she needs the control or at least to feel some semblance of control. Destiny has been mentioned in several stories in this series and it seems that everyone loves to hate on her. She's the brat that everyone will play with, but nobody will commit to. I actually started to feel bad for her, despite her attitude in the stories, because all of the doms were willing to try with her, but nobody, at least in my mind, truly tried. They just pretended to try.

Sasha is at the end of her hope and you could feel her desperation and hatred of herself. I felt so sorry for her and even though she sometimes brought the attitude towards herself on herself, I still felt that she was owed much more in the previous books than what she had.

Her story is interesting because there are a few different things that happen and it's all intriguing, wonderful, and challenging. I was slightly disappointed with the head of the club and his role – I felt that it was a huge betrayal, and nothing was really done. However, with everything else that was going on, I can kind of understand.

This is a great story about self discovery, love, and learning to trust yourself. I don't want to write too much because it will give everything awesome that happens away


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the eighth book in the series – and one which I have been eagerly awaiting. Destiny, or Sasha by day, has been the catalyst and thorn in the side of many doms and subs at Genesis. I have often felt very sorry for her, as she is so misunderstood, and finally she gets her chance at happiness this time.

Ms. Jacob is very good at weaving the lives and loves of the members of Genesis, and you would appreciate the intricacies much better if you have read them in order. Certainly the Kerr situation benefits from prior knowledge, to understand just how unpleasant a man he is.

I loved the buildup between Sasha and Law, and Destiny and Cane, and I made some incorrect assumptions, which made the twists even more fun. I laughed at her sarcasm, but also sighed at her insecurities. She was really laid bare in every sense of the word in this book, and dealt with that reality in an amazingly intelligent way, thanks to her men.

Super hot, fun, intense, and immensely satisfying – this may be my favourite in the series so far! Thank you, Ms. Jacob.

Just like the previous books in this series, this was a good book. I loved the chemistry between Max and Sammie. They were so hot together. I loved seeing the other characters from previous books as well. At times, I will admit I wanted to slap Sammie and tell her to just stop fighting her feelings. I understand why she was but seriously, that was a long time to be holding all that back. I know we all grieve in different ways but goodness, she had the perfect man in front of her and she was just being a pain in the butt by not being honest. I loved Max, how could you not? Good story with a little drama and lots of hot sex.

Sammie is a domme. She works with subs and is amazing at it. However, there is something in her past that calls to her as well and when Maximus walks in, that hidden part of her personality is unleashed.

Sammie is complex and sometimes dense about her feelings, but overall, I think that she struggles with her choices and why those choices had to be made.

Max is hot. He's commanding, loving, stern, protective – all of the yummy qualities of a great dom.

When he and Sammie get together, they have explosive chemistry. However, I do wish that they talked more about the hows and whys – it felt that once Sammie did the searching herself, everything was okay.

The secondary characters were amazing, just like in previous books. I can't wait to see if more characters emerge with their own stories.


Shelby – ☆☆☆☆
This series contains some seriously hot BDSM and easy to like characters, this installment follows the in the same steps!

Sammie has been introduced in previous books, she's a no-nonsense domme who loves her job. We get to really know her, and what I learned totally shocked me. What she learned about herself, though, is why you need to read this story! Not all is as it seems, and sometimes a person's past needs to be faced to truly live in the present.

When Dylan's ex-Captain from the Marine Corps comes to visit the club, Sammie is immediately caught in his web. Strong, sexy, and total alpha-male, Mr. Max Gunn knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go and get it. Unfortunately, his sights are set on the one woman who doesn't want to face his brand of control.

The story builds slowly and many of Sammie's secrets are revealed. Max is patient, devoted, and sweet, yet he holds a serious, foreboding, and strong sense of dominance. His strength is the perfect counterpoint to Sammie's stubbornness. Unfortunately, Sammie was a bit dense to the point of annoyance.

Their chemistry was off the charts HOT and the slow build was satisfying.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story, but I LOVED Max!


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the seventh book in the series – and it is very easy to sink back into the world of Genesis. Do read them in order to get the story of the individual romances, but this has a good story in its own right.

Mistress Sammie has been a bit of a mystery since the beginning, and it turns out that she needed to meet Max to find fulfilment. As the story unfolds, we are treated to a lovely story of acceptance and love, as well as some wonderful snarkiness and humour. Their chemistry is intense and has the power to break through some well-constructed walls. Hot, sweet, moving, and hopeful; this is a lovely addition to the series.

Thank you Ms. Jacob – and can't wait for the next dom to get his happily ever after!
