Gage by Sawyer Bennett Release Blitz

Pittsburgh Titans. Gage. Available Now.

Veteran player Gage Heyward retired from the league following a successful career. Now the Titans need him, but does he have what it takes to get back on the ice and pull this team together?

After achieving the goals I set for myself, I walked away from my professional hockey career. It was a tough decision, but the right one at the time. When the Titans organization approached me about joining the team they were rebuilding following a devastating plane crash, I felt a passion for the game and a competitive spirit I hadn’t felt in years. The opportunity to make a huge difference to a lot of people spoke to me, and I accepted their offer and headed to Pittsburgh without a second thought.

Jenna Holland is also new to town, having moved from Phoenix to Pittsburgh to take a job with the Titans. Her past has left her with scars—both physical and emotional—and she’s slow to trust others. But the more I learn about Jenna, the more I want to know. The more I need to know. Because the beautiful blonde with honey gold eyes and a wall around her heart has me enamored.

My game on the ice is the best it’s ever been, but it’s my game off the ice I’m focused on these days. Because while Jenna may not be willing to take a chance, I know the potential is there for something big. Something life changing. Now I just need to convince her to take the shot.

This is the third book in the series, and I would suggest you start at the beginning to understand the dynamics of this team. Even better if you read earlier linked series, so you get to know the wider context too – let's be honest, you can never get too much hockey goodness!

This book runs alongside earlier ones, so it is easy to pick up from where you last visited, and also, it is a lot of fun to see a different perspective. In any storyline it will be clear that Gage is just such a good guy – and definitely deserving of a very special person to share his life with. There is little doubt in his mind that Jenna is that person, but persuading her to take a risk is a little more complicated.

I really enjoyed how Jenna came to deal with her new job, and the friendship that she developed with the very busy, but always caring boss, Brienne.

Such a lovely, uncomplicated, sexy, enjoyable, and life affirming read – it really had all the feels without any extreme drama. The biggest issues happened on the rink and involved some plot lines which we luckily knew would be resolved in the best of ways. Gage was always clearly such a good guy; I am delighted that his story rang true from beginning to end.

I am already looking forward to the next installment!

M/F Romance

Jenna is a character that you get to know through the first couple of books. She is shy, talented, smart, and an amazing friend and sister. With circumstances what they are for her, Jenna is trying to find her own place in the world again.

Gage is a hockey player who came out of retirement to help the team rebuild. He is a true leader and one of the most genuine players out there. When he agrees to help a friend's friend move, he winds up at Jenna's house.

Jenna has an inner beauty that even she isn't quite sure about. Jenna's strength is just one of her amazing qualities. She tries very hard to make sure that her inner voice isn't pulling her down all the time. Gage just sees how amazing Jenna is. He wants to get to know her and knows that she's going to be it for him.

These two find what love and trust truly are. With a few bumps in the road, the Pittsburgh Titans will be forever thankful that Gage and Jenna find their way together. Each bring out the best of each other and you will want to cheer for them always.

I can't wait to see the next book.

Where has Gage been all my life? I know that he is a fictional person but dang, he's everything a girl could want in a partner. Sawyer Bennett does an amazing job at writing heroes and hockey players.

Gage retired from hockey a year before the Titans lost most of their team in a plane crash, but he came out of retirement to help the team finish the season. While he's glad to be back on the ice, he realizes that the only thing he really missed about the game was the camaraderie of his teammates, the friendships he made on and off the ice, and helping rookies learn about the game.

Jenna is finally stepping into the light after years of hiding inside her apartment. The fire that caused the burns that scarred her face and body also scarred her heart and soul. Her boyfriend at the time left her saying that he "couldn't handle" the situation and wouldn't even let Jenna see his daughter, whose life she saved from the fire. To say she has trust issues is putting it mildly.

The way that Gage takes time to get to know Jenna is the way that all women truly want to be courted. We want our person to take the time to really listen to what we have to say and let a relationship develop naturally.

I can't wait until the next book in this series arrives.

The softness of his mouth and the rush of his breath over the scars… a tiny moan slips from my mouth. It’s that sound that does it.

Gage tilts his head and kisses me harder. No… he claims my mouth with his. Shows me just how hungry he is.
