Hard Job is the second book in the A-List Security series. It can be
read as a standalone but I do recommend going back and reading book one, Tough
Luck, if you haven't yet.
Duncan wants to make his security company one of the best without any influence
from his father. Providing security for his brother Danny's best friend, Ezra,
who happens to be one of the biggest rock stars in the world should help push
his company to the level he wants. Except Ezra is insistent that it's Duncan
who is personally protecting him. Ezra has had a crush on Duncan for years and
doesn't want to let the opportunity to get to know the man pass him by. Duncan
can't let himself fall for Ezra, he can't risk his reputation and the
reputation of his company it's all he has.
I felt bad for Duncan. He wants what Danny and Cash have, but is it worth the
risk? Agreeing to keep their relationship secret technically acts like its own
character given the depths they need to go. I loved how Annabeth Albert used
and twisted this plot line. And Ezra knew exactly what Duncan needed and the
control he needed to let go of. I was rooting for this couple from the beginning!
I can't wait to see what's next for A-List Security!
