Honeymoon,
happily ever after, and… homicide?
Newlyweds, Royce Locke and Sawyer Key, embark on a honeymoon road trip where
their biggest threat should be dodging drunk tourists on golf carts. But their
arrival on South Bass Island lands them in the middle of a contentious battle
between lifelong islanders and a property developer who won’t accept no for an
answer. Tempers soar as the barometric pressure drops, signaling a dangerous
storm brewing on the horizon and across the street. Minding their own
business becomes impossible when a homicide wrecks their vacation and puts
Royce and Sawyer in the path of a twisted killer.
Will their honeymoon be two tickets to paradise or a one-way trip to the
morgue?
Killer Honeymoon is book three in the Matrimony and Mayhem trilogy, the
second story arc for Royce Locke and Sawyer Key.
** New readers should start with the Zero Hour trilogy before reading the Matrimony
and Mayhem trilogy. **
Killer Honeymoon is a continuation of Royce and Sawyer’s happily ever
after as they move into the next phase of their lives—professionally and personally.
Though some storylines span the trilogy, this book does not end in a
cliffhanger. Heat, humor, heart, and homicide abound. You have been warned. 18+

“She reached into her purse and pulled out two envelopes. One was addressed to Sawyer and the other to Lucky Bastard. She gripped them tightly in her hands instead of offering them to Sawyer and Royce.
“I’d recognize that handwriting anywhere,” Sawyer said, a gentle smile curving his lips. “When did Vic write these?”
Imelda swallowed hard, and the brimming tears spilled down her cheeks. Royce pulled her in for a tight hug and whispered that she’d done the right thing. Imelda nodded against his chest and allowed Royce to comfort her for a few moments before she eased back.
“Soon after his diagnosis,” she told Sawyer. “Vic accepted his fate much sooner than we did. He’d devoted all his extra energy to ensuring his parents and husband would be okay.”
“Selfless,” Royce said.
Imelda nodded. “Maddeningly so at times.” She took a shaky breath and extended the envelopes to Royce and Sawyer, who accepted them immediately. “Promise kept,” she whispered toward the heavens before meeting their gazes. Imelda’s smile came easier, and her spirit seemed lighter as if an enormous weight had been lifted from her thin shoulders. “There’s no pressure from me to read the letters now or ever, okay?”
Royce and Sawyer nodded.
“I’ll see you both tomorrow.” Imelda kissed both their cheeks before leaving.”
They stared at the letters in their hands for a few moments before locking eyes.
Sawyer swallowed hard and said, “Should we read them now?”
Royce shook his head. “We’ll be late.” He held out his empty hand to Sawyer. “Trust me?”
Sawyer placed his letter on Royce’s open palm. “Always.”
Royce carefully folded the envelopes and put them into his pocket for safekeeping. Then he pressed his lips to Sawyer’s for a brief kiss. “I know the perfect spot and time. We’ll read Vic’s letters together.”
Sawyer smiled. “Like we do everything.”

Killer Honeymoon is the sixth book featuring Sawyer and Royce and the
third one in the Matrimony and Mayhem series. We finally get to see the men tie
the knot. After all we have been through with this couple it was wonderful to
see them getting married, and I’m not ashamed to say I teared up three times in
the first chapter.
The men take their honeymoon on a beautiful island on a lake that made me want
to go on holiday. But it doesn’t take long for trouble to show up. Young people
partying in the house across the street causing trouble, a rich developer
buying up property on the island, an old local who won’t sell up, and a storm
all cause trouble for the Sawyer and Royce, who are trying to enjoy their
honeymoon.
I really enjoyed the way this story played out. There is a lightness to this
story that we haven’t experienced with Royce and Sawyer. Killer Honeymoon
felt like reading a cozy mystery. I smiled a lot while reading this story. It
was really quite fun and, of course, it was also a little bit sexy too.
It has been an absolute pleasure to read Royce and Sawyer’s romance and I wonder
where to next for the men. If the author writes more stories of Royce and
Sawyer, I will happily read them. I was thrilled to see at the end of the book
that there are two spin-off novels being released later this year, which I
immediately pre-ordered. I loved Killer Honeymoon and all of Sawyer and
Royce’s stories. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

This is the third book in this series, and definitely needs to be read in order
to get all the underlying storylines!
Finally, our two heroes get their wedding day... all doubts and concerns dispelled
and a new start for them both, together. We know from the title that things are
going to get complicated whilst they are away. but what a really fun murder
mystery has been created for us!
I loved the combination of a fabulous venue, plenty of outdoor activities, and
plenty of sexy honeymoon fun with the drama caused by a property developer on a
mission to buy up the local properties. We meet some pretty unsavoury
characters, as well as some great locals who plan on resisting till the end.
When the police get involved in a local murder, the two men cannot just stand
by and watch – of course – so the tension ramps up, even when they are away
from home!
Sexy, outdoorsy, and murderous adventures from Locke and Key – what is not to
enjoy? I hope that we get some more from these guys, as I would happily read
on.
