When
the full moon rises, your soul will become complete…
Those are the words ominously whispered to Jeremiah Singleton his first day
aboard the Pride of the Caribbean—an enchanted cruise ship where
paranormals hide in plain sight.
Jeremiah leads a quiet life running an aquarium store. Stepping out of his
shell to attend his sister’s wedding aboard the Pride, Jeremiah is delightfully
surprised to find himself in a whirlwind romance with a handsome blue-eyed
school teacher.
Skip Weaver has always been lucky, so it was no shock when he won a cruise. The
one thing Skip hasn't had any luck with though is love. But his streak of bad
luck with love could finally be over when he meets Jeremiah.
However, nothing aboard the Pride is ever that simple.
Ancient legends, untapped magic, secrets from the past, and dangerous stalkers
are on the itinerary for this tropical getaway. Both men are about to get the
surprise of their lives, and all of it might be too much for their shipboard
romance to survive.

Skip's lounger was still there with his drink when he returned. He sprawled out and soaked in the sun.
Just about the time the Jungle Juice made him sleepy and he thought he should flip over to sun his back, his phone dinged.
Jenny: Room looks AWESOME! How’s the sausage fest cruise?
So far so good. I think I have a date tonight
Slut lol
It’s for drinks not dicks, he sent back, adding a tongue-sticking-out emoji and a bunch of alternating eggplants and peaches.
I wish I was there with you. They’re predicting snow this week!
Snow in Atlanta would shut the whole city down. Sucks to be you
Jerk, lol GTG, the evil bitch just came back. Bye!
Though tax season, Skip couldn’t believe Jenny’s boss was making her work on a Sunday. Laters! Luv ya!
It sure would’ve been nice to have Jenny there, but he reminded himself that his big ocean-view suite and king-sized bed didn’t have room for Skip, Jenny, and any potential overnight guests. And wasn’t that the hope for this cruise? To meet a nice guy?
Not that he expected to get that lucky, but a girl could dream, right?
His phone pinged again.
Jeremiah.
Smiling at the idea of Jeremiah being his overnight guest, he read the text.
Cake tasting done! Table arrangements decided! With only 18 guests including the brides, how can this take so long?
Skip grinned, enjoying being in Jeremiah’s thoughts.
Brides as in a lesbian wedding? he clarified.
Yes, and they can’t decide on anything! They keep asking me what I think, like because I’m gay I should know. Lol But when I answer them, they go with something else
Lol, sounds like you’re gonna need a drink later
I need one now! Lol
Smiling, he rolled over to his stomach. As he did, the man in the lounger beside him caught his eye.
His stomach dropped.
“David?” A jolt of white-hot panic went through him. “W-what are you doing here?”
Full blond hair perfectly coiffed and lips bent in a sweet smile below a thick mustache, David chuckled. “I’m on a cruise with my boyfriend, Silly Pants.”
Vulnerable on his stomach, Skip pushed back onto his knees. “Um, where’s your boyfriend?” he asked, though he feared he already knew the answer.
Laughing lightly, David flipped his wrist. “You’re such a kidder. I’m here with you.”
An icy cold shimmer went down Skip’s back despite the warm sunshine. His voice sounded detached as he said, “David, you’re not here with me. We broke up, remember?”
“No, no. I never agreed to a break-up.”
“You don’t have to agree. I ended it,” he said, heart racing and sweat beading his upper lip.
David hadn’t stopped smiling. “I just don’t accept that.”
Creeped right the fuck out, Skip pushed to his feet, keeping the lounger between them. His hands shook when he grabbed his T-shirt and room key.
Good Lord, does the room key have my cabin number on it? Did David see? He couldn’t take his eyes off David to look.
“Look, David,” he said as he shoved his feet into his flip-flops. His stomach was in his throat, but he didn’t want David to see how freaked out he really was. “We broke up. I’m not your boyfriend. I don’t know how you found out I was on this ship, or what you hope to accomplish by being here, but we’re over. Please, stay away from me.”
“No.” David stopped smiling, his brown eyes coloring with a shade of crazy that Skip hadn’t seen before. “We need to talk about this. I know we can work through it. It’s just a rough patch. All couples go through them.”
Skip backed away, trying not to run. “Stay away from me.”
“How can you say that? We love each other.”
“Stay away from me,” he repeated. Not waiting for David’s reply, he turned and walked away. It took all of his strength not to look over his shoulder to see if David followed. When he reached the corridor, he let out a shaky breath and leaned against the wall.
What the ever luvin’ hell?
David had been acting stalkerish, but Skip never imagined he would take it to this level! He’d actually booked himself on the same cruise! How had he even known Skip won this cruise? It happened after they broke up!
A break-up David refused to recognize.
How could Skip avoid him on a ship in the middle of the Caribbean?

Second book in the series; you don't need to read the first one, but it was
good, so I recommend you do. This book was funny, lots of sexy time, and had a
merman!!! I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. Jeremiah and Skip were
so good together. Fun read for a spring afternoon on the porch!
