Summer
nights and star-crossed lovers! From USA Today bestselling author Sarina
Bowen.
Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect
night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few
crucial details.
I didn’t know he was a rock star.
I didn’t know his real name.
Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.
And I sure never expected to see him again.
Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is
about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.

Oh, this is a really enjoyable read. It is slammed full of all the things that
make up a good story, and just made it impossible to not keep turning the pages
right to the end, and 3am!
I am a fan of rock star romances, and I enjoyed that this one avoids some of
the real excesses, whilst hinting that band members who will get their chance
at a happily ever after later have some pretty big issues. Knowing that made
reading about Nixon, Quinn, and the others all the more interesting, but the
focus is clearly on Jonas and his summer love, Kira.
Though Jonas definitely stepped up to the plate once he knew about Vivi, I did
wonder why he hadn't really made the effort to at least visit her town sooner.
It did, however, give her brother, Adam, the chance to be the hero uncle, and
definitely someone who also deserves a chance at happiness too.
I am looking forward to catching future installments and seeing how the band
dynamics alter as they all settle down, not just Jonas and Kira.

What happens when you have a musician who hides for the summer in a little
backwoods town and becomes friends with the local girl home from college? A
genuine friendship that blossoms into a romance – at least for one night.
Fast forward five years and Kira is a hardworking single mom who's doing her
best to raise her child with her brother's help. Thank goodness for her brother,
who's kept a roof over her head these past five years while she's worked and
went to school. Imagine her surprise when Vivi's father strolls back into her
life.
Jonas knows that when he left this little village years ago, he left more than
memories. He left his soul and his heart to a woman he can't seem to forget. He
realizes that he should have come back sooner, but with touring and making
music he couldn't seem to reconcile his life to Kira's.
It's all changed now, he's back and wants what he knows he shouldn't.
