Summer Secrets by Jill Sanders

Summer camp is for lovers in this fun, sexy read from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jill Sanders.

For Hannah Rodgers, running an adult summer camp with her four best friends is the ideal distraction from her controlling family. She’s worked hard to become her own woman, but now her parents want to marry her off for business reasons. What is this, the Middle Ages? Hannah would much rather enjoy the sunny delights of camp and flirt with Owen Costa, the hunky help.

But Owen has his own scheme working behind those beautiful brown eyes: he and his brothers finagled camp jobs with the hope of tracking down their father, an eccentric billionaire prone to sudden disappearances. Though Owen was suspicious of the new camp owners at first, his relationship with Hannah deepens, and he gets waylaid from his mission.

But Owen’s troubles soon resurface, and duty calls him away just as Hannah shares a delicate secret, leaving her shattered. Can they get over their complicated lives long enough to enjoy the romance they both want?

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series – and I would recommend that you read them in order, as the story is ongoing. The first two run concurrently, which was very effective at giving us the story from two viewpoints. Here, the same timed element of Hannah's story is explained in a prologue, and then we catch up – I have to admit I found it a little clunky, but as I knew the previous installments, maybe it was just because it was known to me. Once the story picks up in current time it was excellent, and I read it pretty much in one sitting.

Hannah has a truly awful set of parents – just wait until you realise just how unpleasant they are. The fact that she knows this and has come to terms with it – as best as any child can – does not make their behaviour any less repugnant. Her true family are the four 'sisters' that she met at camp aged 11, and who now live and work together. I love how their adults only camp has grown into a reality, and after stopping the worst swinging excesses, they are making a fabulous success of running the camp. It may be a little slow at generating serious income, but it is a wonderful place to work, and once again is saving Hannah from the unhappiness of being in her family business.

As any fan will know, the Costa brothers have been trying to find their father and save their business. He has now finally turned up, and the drama unfolds in some very unexpected ways. I did guess at the perpetrator, but enjoyed the tension which was developed through the story. So many times I had to stop reading for a second or two, as I did not want anything bad to happen to someone I cared about. On occasion my wishes came true, on others I had to just buckle up and cope with the ride that Sanders delivered.

I loved the descriptions of the two big parties, and how Hannah created the illusions needed to pull off a really memorable party. It was fun to catch up with fantastic Chef, Isaac, and, most of all, see Owen and Hannah get the very best happily ever after that they deserve.

The brothers may now all be spoken for but there are still two Wildflowers who deserve their happily ever afters too... so I am very much looking forward to future installments!
