From New York Times
& USA Today Bestseller, Vi
Keeland, comes a steamy new romance novel.
The rules:
No dating.
No sex outside of the game.
No disclosing the terms of the contract.
Rules were made to be broken, right?
Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn’t be hard to live up to my end of the bargain…so I thought. Until I realized the deal I’d made was with the devil…and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.
Author's note: Throb is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Kate Monroe finds herself signing a contract to be on a reality show. She needs to win and get the prize money to help her mom and brother. Seems simple right? That is. until she meets Cooper at a friendly poker game. She is drawn to him and the attraction between them is off the charts. But part of her contract is that she cannot date outside of the show. She tries to stay away from Cooper, but it is hard to do.
Cooper Montgomery is the man about town; that is, he is following in his father's footsteps. Running Montgomery Productions is something big and Cooper does it well. When he joins the friendly poker game his father used to play in, he meets Kate and is attracted to her immediately. He wants to spend more time with her. But when she turns him down, it only makes him more determined. Turns out Miles, Cooper's younger brother, is the producer of the reality show and he wants Cooper to lend him money to help with advertising.
What will happen when Cooper finds out about the show? Will Kate be able to stay away from Cooper to win the show? Will Cooper help Miles by lending him money for the show? If Cooper and Kate spend any time together, can they keep it a secret? What will happen if someone finds out?
I really loved this story and could feel the pain and heartache that Kate and Cooper were feeling. And to me, that is what makes a story great. I can't wait to read Beat to see if Flynn gets his happily ever after.
