How to Seduce a Band Geek Tour Banner
Sierra Livingston’s got it bad for her sister’s best friend, Levi Mason—the boy who carries his drumsticks in his pocket, marches with the school’s band, and taps his feet to whatever beat runs through his head. Sierra racks her brain for ways to impress the sexy drummer, but the short skirts and bursting cleavage don’t seem to cut it.

When Sierra gets paired with Levi’s sister, Brea, for a mentorship program, they strike a deal. In exchange for Sierra keeping her mouth shut about Brea ditching the program, Brea lets Sierra dig for more info on Levi to help get the guy of her dreams.

But when Sierra discovers Levi no longer plays the drums, his family has moved into a trailer, and he’s traded in his Range Rover for a baby blue moped, Sierra’s not sure if she can go through with violating his privacy. She’ll have to find the courage to ask him straight out—if he’s willing to let her in—and explore other ways to seduce the school’s band geek.

Veronica – ☆☆☆☆

Sierra becomes one of the "loser" crowd when, at the age of 14, she deliberately crashes her sister's car into a tree to avoid having to have sex with her boyfriend. Two years later and she is in high school and crushing on Levi, her sister's best friend and a member of the school band.

As the relationship between Sierra and Levi develops there are some very funny moments. Cassie Mae is excellent at writing really embarrassing scenes - the kind where if it was on TV you'd squeal and change the channel and quickly change because you are not sure you can watch but you don't want to miss it either.

The story also touches on more serious topics and they are also well written.

How to Seduce a Band Geek was a really good read. This is the third Cassie Mae book I've read and she definitely has me as a fan. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Sierra is in love with her sister’s best friend, Levi. He is two years older and only thinks of her as the little sister of his best friend. She has spent the last two years trying her hardest to get him to notice her as a big girl now. Then the perfect opportunity falls in her lap, one that just has to be too good to be true. She is assigned his little sister to mentor. Dreams of Happily Ever After turn into OMG moments when she makes a deal with Brea for details and access to his house in exchange for not making her do the actual program. Will Sierra get and keep Levi? Will he find out about the deal and think of her as #supercreepygirl or will he overlook it all, including her rep at school as the tease of teases? This book had me laughing so hard at some of the things that Sierra did. There a couple of tear scenes as well. I related more to her big sister Zoe, but I still loved Sierra and all her attempts at sexy please notice me Levi. I was also very happy to see more of Zak and Zoe. I found myself cheering for Sierra when she made the right choices and crying with her when she discovers the truth about someone she cares for. When you get to the hoodie scene have the tissues on standby, I laughed so hard I cried. I am wondering if there will be a book 3 though. I hope so. Great read again. In love with these two books.

How to Date a Nerd Cover
Zoe has a great pair of legs, perky boobs, and wears exactly what she needs to show it all off. She works hard for the easy sleazy ‘you only wish you were me’ reputation, burying who she really is—an all-out nerd.

The only time Zoe gets to be herself is when she hides under her comforter to read X-Men comics, sending jealousy stabs at everyone who attends Comic-Con. Keeping up her popular rep is too important, and she’s so damn insecure to care about the consequences. But when Zoe’s sister takes her car for a ‘crash and burn into a tree’ joyride, her parents get her a replacement. A manual. Something she doesn’t know how to operate, but her next door neighbor Zak sure as heck does.

Zak’s a geek to the core, shunned by everyone in school for playing Dungeons and Dragons at lunch and wearing “Use the Force” t-shirts. And Zoe’s got it bad for the boy. Only Zak doesn’t want Popular Zoe. He wants Geek Zoe.

She has to shove her insecurities and the fear of dropping a few rungs on the social ladder aside to prove to Zak who she really is and who she wants to be… if she can figure it out herself.

Veronica – ☆☆☆

After being bullied all though middle school for being a nerd, Zoe ditches her best friend and next door neighbour Zak once she hits high school and becomes one of the popular crowd.

Zoe struggles with her inner geek knowing that even though she is popular now, it is all an act and when she reconnects with Zak, she hates herself for her behaviour. I felt Zoe's struggle between being who she really is and playing the popular bitch was realistic and there were times I wanted to smack some sense into this girl.

I loved Zak our hero, he is pretty much my idea of the perfect guy. He is so open and honest and never pretends to be something he is not.

This was a really fun read. A good one to read in between more serious tear inducing books. I'm moving on to read How to Seduce a Band Geek next, which is book 2 in the series.

Christy – ☆☆☆☆☆

Zoe Livingston has a secret identity, she is an UBER NERD. Ask anyone at her high school though and they would call her uber popular. She also has an ultra-secret crush on uber nerd and former best friend Zac. She struts her hot body daily for Zac but he no longer looks across the yard to her window. Two years into her popularity reign and she fights cool Zoe vs geek Zoe to maintain her place. Can she find the common ground between the two and have popularity and the nerd boyfriend? As a proud Nerd, I totally get Zoe’s desire to be cool and even her willingness to do what it takes to get what she wants. The high school reminds me of my quad in high school, even down to the Goths. There is some language and racy scenes, so while YA, it is more appropriate for older teens. This book is filled with total geek references like Doctor Who and the X-Men, so if you don’t care for that then you will not understand most the book. I was literally clapping when I saw Doctor Who – I am totally in love with 10. I was Zoe in high school, well kind of, so there was an instant connection to her. I mean I can go on and on for hours about the differences between a Jedi Master and a Sith Lord. I think if Zoe, Hope, Kiera, Levi, and of course Zac were around in my high school, we would have all been friends, well okay not Kiera. Nerd or not this book is nothing but awesomeness. Off to book 2 How to Seduce a Band Geek.
