This is a very short read and I cannot wait to read the next installment! Angela is married but travels non-stop for her job, so does her husband, she hasn’t seen him in 6 months. Finally deciding that she is going to hire someone to help with the traveling at work so she can spend more time with her husband, Angela is on a mission. Then she meets “Mr. Bartender” and suddenly everything could change.

Characters: The characters drew me in and held my attention.
Sex: One night of hot steamy sex!
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

This is a quick read. This is the first installment of three.

Angela Stephens has her dream job. She travels the world revamping hotel services. She thought she was happy. That things were going great other than the fact she hasn't seen her husband, Christopher, who also travels for his job, in six months. When Angela walks into the hotel lounge and meets Mr. Bartender her world changes.

This definitely is a fast read. Unfortunately, just when things were getting good, it ends. I fought in the first chapter for it to hold my attention even with all the back story being divulged there. I was quickly entertained in the second chapter flying through the rest of the read. Can't wait to see what happens in the second installment, One More Night.

This is a 4.5* for me - not quite enough of it to love it, but I'm sure that the three together will be excellent.

I really enjoyed the storyline, and felt that it worked really well. The start is a little too crammed with information - but I guess that if the author wanted it to be a short read, that was inevitable. It did set up the story, and soon the evening drew around and the fun started. Having worked in hotels and enjoyed the fun side; this certainly rang true to me. I loved the reveal, and wish I'd seen her face, but it was easy to imagine!

Can't wait to read the next installment!

3 Stars!

These small stories seem to be the "it" thing right now. I truly like short reads every once in a while, but at some point I will start feeling like I want more bang for my buck. That's my thoughts on the length of the story. I did get this for free, but if I hadn't I would be disappointed!

Angela is married, yet separated from her husband more than she's with him. They both travel constantly. We find this out right away, so I was wondering how this 'One Night' was going play out. I didn't think Angela's character was genuine, I mean seriously? You just find out you are being betrayed, and you don't shed a single tear. I read fiction every day, but this was too unbelievable. (I hate using that term) But I couldn't make myself believe this scenario. Don't get me wrong, I liked the whole idea of this story, I just need more out of the characters.

I'm hoping the second has more!

One Night is the first in the a three part series and is only 30 pages long which was long enough for the writer set up the story, give us background, and introduce us to Angela Stephens, our heroine. Good story, the sex is steamy and our hero is hot. I want to know what happens next so I'm moving straight on to book two, One More Night.

Initially I wasn’t going to write a review for this book. When I first finished it, I couldn’t decide how I felt about it and the parts of the story that I found confusing. As I thought more about it, I realized that my confusion mirrored Angela’s as I believe I made the same assumptions that she did regarding the identity of the man making out with Rachel. I also had to come to terms with the descriptive nature of Angela’s narration – while it seems a bit too much considering the short length of the book, it is appropriate for the character considering the nature of her job. While I understand her decision NOT to listen to the gossip her assistant found on Google, I thought it odd that she did not at least look at Mr. Black’s photos so that she would know what he looked like as his supposed playboy antics are largely being blamed for the hotel’s decline.

With all that said, One Night is a quick and enjoyable read. Because of its length, there is not a lot of time for storyline development, but Ms. Willard provides enough character building for Angela that I was able to connect with her. After the apparent butt-dialed phone call from her husband, I had no issue with her taking Mr. Bartender up on his offer of One Night. After all, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander and Mr. Bartender is most definitely good for the gander. The story ends on a slight cliffhanger that leaves you wanting the next installment immediately. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of Ms. Willard’s work.
