Her Ride by Rachael Orman Book Tour

Being happy. It sounds so simple. Yet, it seems that it’s always just out of reach for Shannon Ryan.

After serving overseas for six years as a female United States Marine, Ryan is finally getting out the military. But coming home to live with her biker brother and his motorcycle club is more difficult than she thought it would be. Much has changed in the years that she has been gone, including Ellis, her brother’s best friend and childhood crush.

Ellis 'Dirty' Crane is the second in command for Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. The only thing he lives for is the club, that is until Ryan comes home, no longer the wild little girl that followed him around. The two things standing in his way of getting what he wants are Patrick, Ryan's brother and leader of the club, and Jeremiah, Ryan’s boyfriend.

Can Ellis break through Ryan’s walls? Burn them and Jeremiah down? Prove to her brother that he’s the right man for her? Or is Ryan hiding more than she’s letting on?

I love a good biker/Marine story just as much as I love MMA stories. So reading this one was something I was looking forward too. Ryan is fresh out of the Marines after 7 years and heads back home to Arizona where she will be with her family. Her family consists of her brother, Patrick and his biker club members. She is strong and doesn't take crap off anyone. That is if you don't count her boyfriend Jeremiah, he is controlling and abusive. She wants to end things because she realizes she doesn't love him and wants to move on. Ellis picks her up at the airport, she had a crush on him when she was younger. He was her older brother’s best friend after all. She may be strong-willed but she is keeping secrets from her brother, but she has a plan and Her Ride will be just for her. Or so she thinks. Parts of Ryan's life will rip your heart out but Ellis, the big, bad, sexy as hell biker will mend it for you. Looking forward to Patrick's story. This is a first for me by Rachael Orman and I loved it. Can't wait to read more from her. So if you like a great story with sexy bikers, pain, heartbreak and love, then grab this one and enjoy the ride.

This is a book which deals with a number of difficult issues in a new and refreshing way. It turns stereotypes on their head, and made me both smile and cry. The main characters are so vividly brought to life, that I became invested in their futures. I've read many biker stories, so got the backdrop, yet it was never really a feature of the book, which I rather liked. I read military stories, but again that was in the background. Our focus is firmly on Ryan and Ellis; a friendship and an unexpected romance. It was hot, it was thought provoking and it ends promising us another story - and I for one cannot wait!

I really enjoyed this book -- it was not what I was expecting and that it made it so much better.

I can't wait to read Patrick's story.

Rachael is a stay at home mom with 2 young daughters and a husband that keep her constantly on her toes. She lives in the extremely hot state of Arizona, where she reads and writes away the blistering heat outside. She is a cancer survivor with a quirky personality. She’s been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and been writing since she was in high school. Her hopes of being a writer were crushed when she was young but one day she decided she was going to do what makes her happy and that was to write.
