Resisting Hunter by Rachael Orman Release Blitz

Who knew life could change so fast? I certainly didn’t.

At 25 years old, I discover that I have a twin sister who I never knew about. We’ve been raised in completely opposite worlds, but that doesn’t stop us from bonding once we learn of each other’s existence.

However, I’m not quite sure how to handle my sister's adopted brother, Hunter. He is the sexiest man I have ever seen and he is determined to get me into his bed.

If I give in, I will be putting the budding relationship with my sister at risk.

I refuse to give in.

WARNING: Sexually explicit scenes. Intended for audiences 18+ years.

My steps faltered when my eyes landed on the man standing in front of her. He was speaking in a tone so low I couldn’t hear what he was saying. He hadn’t yet spotted me so I let my eyes feast on him an extra second longer. Bulging muscles stretched the sleeves of the t-shirt he was wearing. Not too much, but enough to show he worked out. Broad chest. Long legs encased in jeans that showed off his thick thighs. I finally forced my eyes back to his face only to discover he was now looking directly at me.

His forehead creased, his eyebrows drawing together. Clearly, he wasn’t happy to see me. The mouthwatering arms I had just been admiring crossed over his chest as he followed each step I took that brought me closer to him. His dark hair was pushed back from his face on top and short on the sides. Thick eyebrows and dark lashes emphasized his magnificent blue eyes. Even with his lips pursed in a tight line, he was jaw-droppingly handsome.

An aura emanated from him. One that let everyone know he was powerful, demanding, controlling. He wasn’t the type of man to back down from a challenge and he always got what he wanted, no matter the cost.

He was intimidating and intense even without speaking a single word — and I wanted him. What would it be like to have a man like that? Would he hold a woman down and fuck her hard and fast? I was willing to bet he would. Thoughts of all the wicked things we could do together had my panties growing damp and my nipples pushing out, begging for attention.

Dylan works as a hairdresser, saving every extra penny to open her own shop one day. And at 25, it is a good dream to have. But learning that you have a twin sister is something that can throw your world into a spin if you are not careful.

Cora is the twin sister, raised by a family with money and given every opportunity. She also has two brothers and both were adopted. While Cora wants to learn everything about Dylan and share her life with her, Dylan is finding herself being drawn to Cora's brother, Hunter.

Hunter is the type of man that uses women, throws them away after he gets what he wants. And he wants Dylan, but he isn't sure what it is that is pulling them together. Can they spend one night together and not get burned?

This story was a rollercoaster ride for me because Cora had my head spinning. She was all over the place, didn't understand or didn't care that Dylan had to work. Always wanting to go shopping, where Dylan hated it because she didn't have the extra money to spend. But I guess that is the difference between someone who grew up with money and someone who didn't.

I loved the idea of this story, Dylan dated but didn't find the right guy. Then she finds him and he happens to be her long-lost sister’s brother, go figure. But the story is really good and will have you in tears by the end. I need book #2 NOW please.

Dylan is a hard working woman who has a dream of owning and running her own salon someday. She scrimps and saves all of her money in the hope that this dream is on the horizon. When she works on an annoying bridal party, she is in for a major surprise... she's a twin and never knew.

Cora is naive, selfish, somewhat annoying and endearing all wrapped into a twin package for Dylan. Cora grew up around money – a very different life than what Dylan grew up with. While Dylan never wanted for anything, both twins are so different.

Then you have Cora's adopted brother, Hunter. Dylan and Hunter are pulled together by some unexplained attraction. You have some very steamy scenes and these two burn it up. But while you have their romance budding, you have family drama beckoning too.

This book has a whirlwind of emotions stuffed into it. I loved that you never really knew what Cora was going to do, even though sometimes, it was annoying.

I can't wait for book #2 and hope that it comes right away!

Mary Jo – ☆☆☆☆☆
I loved the premise of this book. A twin you didn't know you had and who seemingly won the lottery by being adopted into a wealthy family. Add in two adopted brothers and from the outside looking in, it seems to be a fairytale come true.

I loved how the author wrote Dylan, how she isn't overwhelmed by her sister's money, her family's importance, and how she doesn't hold a grudge against her parents for giving Cora up for adoption. Still, Dylan struggles to find a niche in Cora's world, and it’s made even harder by her attraction to Hunter, Cora's adopted brother.

As I finished part one of this book, I realized the old saying is true: Money can just about buy everything, but it can't buy happiness.

I am a happily married mother of two beautiful (and trying) little girls. We have two German Shepherd pups (2 year old and 7 month old) that are constantly getting into trouble and keeping us on our toes.

I am currently attending ASU for my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, but I am an avid reader when I’m not writing a book of my own. Just like I write, I prefer hot, naughty and all out dirty books, but I also enjoy Urban Fantasy, dystopian and science fiction as well (as long as there is a little romance somewhere in them). I also love to volunteer anywhere I can to help those who are in need.

Flawed by Rachael Orman

Julia is a domme for hire. Paid to spank and dominate men, she loves what she does during the summer months. However, she is also a submissive for her husband.

Garrison is content being married to Julia even though he is a bisexual. That is, until he realizes the man he has the hots for is interested in him. Too bad his job as a detective has him busy dealing with a serial murder case. Good thing, the sexy lawyer is also on the case and it gives him a reason to see him.

Keaton might be a shark in the courtroom, winning almost every single case he tries, but he is submissive in the bedroom. It’s hard to balance his work life with his private life and finding someone that can handle both aspects of his personality.

When they realize they all know each other and there is desire between the three of them, things get hot. But, can three really make a relationship instead of two?

The serial murderer isn’t going to wait for them to figure out their situation. He is on the hunt for dommes and isn’t leaving much behind for the police to use to find him.

Veronica – ☆☆☆☆
Reading this book on a packed commuter train on the way in to work was a mistake because I arrived at the office all hot and bothered. Flawed is off the charts hot and steamy. The erotic scenes and relationship between Garrison, Julia, and Keaton pushed all my buttons. I wanted to be Julia.

This story is told from the point of view of each of our three lead characters and it works really well, especially when it comes to Garrison and Keaton working to track down a serial killer. The crime story is fairly straight forward with no surprises, but I really enjoyed seeing it play out.

While it is not relevant to the story, I have to mention how absolutely stunning the cover of this book is. I could look at it all day. I loved reading Flawed. This will definitely be a book that is added to my re-read list.

Shannan – ☆☆☆☆
Julia has the best of both worlds. She is a Mistress for hire. She gives men what they need by submitting to her and she gets her fill of being dominant, but at home she is the one to submit. Garrison, Julia's husband, is the dominant in their relationship. Garrison is a police detective. His personal life has never intermixed with his professional life until Keaton. The sexy lawyer Garrison has had his eye on for some time.

Julia never sleeps with her clients or even crosses the line in an emotional way, but after one particular session with a client, that line is crossed. She feels bad about what had happened and asks Garrison to attend this client's next session to make sure nothing happens that shouldn't. Imagine Garrison's surprise when the man on his knees is none other than the one making Garrison weak in his knees.

I loved the pace of this book. It moved along without any lull in the plot. I liked that neither Julia or Garrison were the overly dominant type. It definitely is a sexy ménage with scenes catching fire on the page. Flawed is a quick read, perfect for a steamy evening read!

Happily married mother of two darling, trying, beautiful, horribly energetic little girls, an adorable German Shepherd pup who makes her get off her butt and at least go for a walk around the block, and a fat, old, lazy chihuahua.

When she isn't spending all her time writing dirty, sexy, naughty erotic romances, she is narrating audiobooks and helping run a LBGT blog.

Rachael loves to push herself to write new things so her books vary from heterosexual romances to gay/lesbian romances to ménage romances... She couldn't imagine writing outside of the romance genre since that's what life is all about… Love, sex, happiness.

There was a tiny chance he’d forgotten about me and wasn’t looking for me anymore. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Men like him didn’t just forget, not when it was their wife. Not when it had been the woman who’d been in their life for seven years that testified about a murder they’d witnessed them commit, which ended up in them getting a life sentence. He’d never be getting out of jail, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t still have contacts on the outside that would seek out his revenge.

I shivered at the thought and decided that I was too tired to make such an important decision. Pulling out of my spot, I drove to my apartment. The laundry and grocery shopping I normally got done would just have to wait. After a little nap, I could tackle those tasks and think things through some more.

I parked in my normal spot, retrieved my bag from the backseat and slid my gun into the back of my pants. As I climbed out, I was surprised to see Sheriff Aaron slowly driving by.

“Hi there,” he said with a wave.

I nodded at him and turned away; I wasn’t in the mood to deal with him. After locking the front door and putting the quilt and chair in place, I dropped the bag and kicked off my shoes. All I wanted was to get to my bed and pass out for a few hours.

However, all thoughts of sleep fled my brain when I noticed the window in my room was open and the curtain was blowing in the slight breeze.

“Don’t scream,” Eric’s deep voice spoke softly right next to my ear as a thick arm wrapped around my waist and a hand slid over my mouth.

Ms. Orman fills Witness with suspense and action.

Witness is a quick fast paced read. Allegra is on the run. She was placed in a small town by the FBI after she witnesses something she shouldn't have. She is constantly looking over her shoulder, knowing her ex Michele will find her sooner or later. When a dark eyed mysterious man shows up at the diner she works at she knows it has something to do with her past. Fight or Flee? Who will protect her when push comes to shove?

My only complaint about Witness was that it wasn't longer. It held me captive from beginning to end. I was completely grossed out and enthralled with the torture scenes (I wanted more!) Good quick read.

Veronica – ☆☆☆☆
I've said it before and I'll say it again – I love a good novella and Witness gave me just what I wanted. Fast paced, it fits a lot into a short read. We get romance, heat, action, suspense, and even a bit of graphic violence. Witness had my heart pumping a little faster. Very good reading.

Sighing, I pushed a strand of greasy bleach-blonde hair behind my ear. I missed my natural brown hair. It looked better on me, not to mention it took a lot less upkeep. Although I had plenty of time to waste since I was a waitress at a little diner in the middle of nowhere with no friends.

It wasn't my choice to be in the crappy little town. It wasn't how I envisioned my life being at thirty. However, stupid choices made at the ripe age of eighteen left me slinging crappy food I couldn’t even stomach.

“Miss! Miss!” an obnoxious woman yelled from the other side of the room as she waved her arm in the air. Like I could've missed her when there were only two other tables with customers on my side of the diner.

“How can I help you?” I asked, trying to force a smile.

“I need a refill,” she said, gesturing to her still half-full glass of sweet tea.

“I'll be right back.” I sighed and went to get the pitcher. Once I topped her glass off, I went back behind the counter to stare out the front door again. It was how I passed the time I wasn’t running around trying to keep impossible people happy. Dreaming about the life I should’ve been living or, on bad days, the life I used to have.

I used to work at a pharmacy, helping doctors and patients. I enjoyed going to work every day. Enjoyed my life, but that all ended once I got involved with Michele Berto. No, it wasn’t all bad at first, but by the end, I wished I’d never met the man who ruined my life.

He was tall, dark and handsome. Just what every woman wanted in a man, right? That's what I once thought. Not only was he sexy, but I thought he was the one for me. That we'd be together forever. Then I found out who he really was and nothing was ever the same. One night and my life as I knew it had been forever and irrevocably altered.

I'd loved Michele as much as an eighteen-year-old girl knew how to. I'd been blinded by lust and the attention and money he’d spent on me. Being raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to make ends meet left me alone and hungry more often than not. Then, in swept Michele with his thousand-dollar suits and million-dollar cars. He'd spoiled me from the start. Anything I wanted, I got. If I even looked at something for more than a second, it would magically appear at his house or mine the next day as a gift from him. It was so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of money. So easy, in fact, that I didn't see what was right in front of my face. That he wasn't just a rich twenty-year-old, but a mafioso who was as controlling and violent as he was charismatic.

Stupid and naïve I'd fallen for everything he told me. For seven years I’d lived in a blissful state of blind love. Until I saw something I was never meant to see, only to disappear in the middle of the night with the help of the FBI then reappear as a new woman in a new town, with a past to hide from. Along with a horrible name change. I’d liked being Alice, but they’d changed it to the much more exotic Allegra, which I didn’t think fit me at all, but no one asked me.

That'd been five years ago. Five long years of no friends, no family, nothing but a crappy job to pay for a crappy apartment.

I’d like to say that I’d relaxed since it had been so long and that I possibly thought I’d gotten away from Michele unscathed. I didn’t. I was still constantly looking over my shoulder. Still afraid to connect with people who would make it hard to leave if I needed to. Not to mention, I still hated the town the FBI had planted me in. The job was absolutely nothing I would’ve ever done in my previous life, which I supposed was why it was such a good place to put me. However, I was miserable, almost hoping someone would find me and take me out just so I didn’t have to keep paying for the sins I didn’t commit and never wanted to be a part of.

“Miss!” the obnoxious customer from hell yelled again.

I gritted my teeth and went to her table again. Another refill for an only half-gone drink. Annoying. Drink the whole glass or at least down the to the last quarter and I'd be automatically filling it. Still half full, and I didn't think it needed my attention, but what did I know? I was just the hired help having to please the masses and their stupid requests.

As I returned to my spot, Wendy, the other waitress, strolled over to me and leaned in close.

“You have got to check out the hunk of man who just sat in my section,” she breathed quietly.

I glanced over to her side of the restaurant in surprise. I hadn't heard the door chime to announce a new arrival so he must've come in while I was handling the needy woman.

My gaze landed on a man in the corner booth. I nearly jumped back when my eyes met his. He was staring right at me as if he'd been waiting for me to notice him. I swallowed around the hard knot that had formed in my throat from the cold, dead stare he gave me.

I knew that look. I’d seen it many times on the men that hung around Michele. It was the look of a killer.

Matteo by Rachael Orman Blog Tour

Being born into slavery, I never thought my owner, my very mother, would sell me. And she didn’t.

Until Matteo.

I was tormented, struggling to come to terms with my new life then he narrowed it down to two things.

Pleasure. Pain.

The man confused me at every turn with his unexpected and unattainable desires.

If only he’d speak to me.

If only he’d tell me how to avoid upsetting him.

If only I could please him.

**Disclaimer: This is a DARK erotic Italian Mafia story. There are twisted behaviors in this book not everyone will be able to handle. Explicit, violent, and sexual scenes are involved. Not for the wary of heart.**

“Sir, I’m sorry, but you cannot be back here,” the woman insisted once I was locked away.

“Find your manager and bring her to me,” Matteo answered her, loudly enough that I heard it through the door.

I heard her huff and the sounds of her retreating footsteps. Ripping my old dress over my head, I pulled on a pair of lacy panties and a bra that matched. I took a fortifying breath before cracking the door open.

Matteo was speaking in hushed tones to a woman in a suit who seemed to be apologizing to him, but as soon as he lifted his eyes to me, she murmured a few more words and made a hasty exit.

“Mmm. I’ll have to see more to decide if I like it,” Matteo spoke to me as he pushed off the wall. He ran his fingers over the rough hair that had grown along his jaw throughout the day as he peered at me.

Shoving the door open farther, I let him see all of me, then turned around so he could see the back as well.

“Okay. Next one,” Matteo said after a second.

I turned to face him again expecting more, but he pulled his phone from his pocket, showing me that was all he intended to say about that outfit. Feeling like I’d let him down, I shuffled through the many outfits he’d picked out to find the smallest, skimpiest piece in the bunch. Not bothering to look in the mirror once I had it on, I threw the door open, hoping to shock a response out of him. Instead, I found a woman on her knees in front of him. Her head was bobbing up and down and he looked up to meet my gaze with half-open eyes. With a nod in my direction, he turned his attention to the woman obviously sucking his cock.

Embarrassed, I shut the door quietly and leaned my head back against it. I’d never seen someone else perform such an act and certainly didn’t expect it to be happening to the man who owned me while we were out together. How could he speak to me about such naughty things and then turn to another woman in the next moment?

Matteo Rossi is looking for a girl but not just any girl. He needs one that will pass his father's test. His father Fausto, is the head of the Italian Mafia and wants Matteo to find a wife and give him an heir. But what Matteo wants is a slave that will do exactly what he says and wants and when she doesn't he will punish her severely. He goes to the Madam's house for a slave auction and when he doesn't see what he wants, he makes it known to the madam. When she takes him to the basement, he finds what he is looking for. But what will he loose in the process? Gia has never been brought to the auctions and no one has ever been to the basement. She is surprised when Matteo takes her innocence and then she realizes that she has been sold by her mother. Does Matteo ever regret what he does to Gia? Will Gia survive this ordeal?

This was a hard story to read but I couldn't put it down. Rachael has taken us into a world that most never think about but it does happen in this day and age. Human trafficking, slavery and sexual abuse/rape. To me this is more of an information story than a fictional story because even if you buy it and can't read it then go to the end and read the statistics and hotline information. I am sure this will shock you as it did me. You never think that a loved one will do this to someone they love. I can't wait to see what will happen next in this series. I love Rachael Orman and her writing style. She has a way of drawing you in and keeping your attention until the end and leaving you wanting more.

Shannan – ☆☆☆☆
Matteo comes with a WARNING. Do yourself a favor and READ IT. If you can't read about abuse and violence...then don't read this one. If on the other hand, if you love the darkness please read Matteo because it deals with all things dark and you will really enjoy it.

Gia was born as a slave, her only goal in life is to please her owner. She knows nothing else. She's never experienced life in anyway. When she is sold to Matteo, everything changes. She is dealt a shitty hand by her mother and was a product of her environment unfortunately so was Matteo. Even with all the abuse she comes into her own. Matteo was a very hard ruthless selfish man, but when it's all said and done Gia changes Matteo as much as he changes her.

This really was a good read. Matteo was a page turner for sure. I felt bad for Gia but there was something about Matteo. Yes he is all kinds of messed up and did horrible things but...yeah I was digging Matteo. Nothing better than a well written dark story.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
Be very clear, when it says this book is dark, and violent, and should not sit easily with you as you read, that is exactly how it is.

That said, this is a very well written book about a horrifying topic. One which most of the world conveniently forgets. So to give it four stars and say I like this book, isn't exactly true – I knew I should read it, and by the end, I was thankful of my life, and of how I treat my daughters, but like isn't the right emotion. I was sad, disturbed and affected. Thankfully, insight into the thoughts of Matteo brought the stress levels down at just the right moments, and the ending ... works.

Thank you Ms. Orman for having the insight to write such things, even if they are difficult to read!

Fiend by Rachael Orman

Discovering who my dom was turned out to be life-changing. John wasn't just someone I knew, but someone I'd fantasized about. His sharply tailored suits, his delicious muscles, his hands on me. Finding out he'd actually been the one doing such naughty things to me when I'd been blindfolded was almost too much for me to handle, but he refused to let me run. Forced me to see that everything I could ever want was right in front of me.

Letting Alix go was out of the question. She was mine and I would make her see it. If I had to tie her down and spank it into her, I would happily do so. There were too many things I still wanted to do with her to let her escape my clutches, my playroom. Everything seemed to be going fine until a woman from my past entered the picture.

Stories are twisted, lies are told, hearts are broken. Who is telling the truth? Is what they have worth saving?

*Should not be read as a standalone*

**For 18+ due to explicit language and sex scenes. Reader beware there is bondage, whips, consensual forced sex anal and even a MM scene**

This is book two of the Cravings Series and it is better than the first. John and Alix are getting more involved in their Dom/sub relationship. Both seem to want more outside of that relationship and things seem perfect when they are together. While John is helping Alix with her addiction, she will let her mind take over sometimes and let things get out of hand. While John hires his ex, Mariah, he doesn’t tell Alix who she is but Mariah is all too happy to tell her or better yet to let her overhear conversations that are all about John and her but the news is only for Alix. When Alix runs and leaves both John and herself feeling broken, can they see the truth? Will John convince her that he really does love her and he is not cheating on her? What will Mariah do to try and win John back? I love this series and this one is as perfect as the beginning. I love Rachael’s writing style and I can’t wait for book 3. I need it now!

Angie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This book was even better than the first! I love how much John and Alix have grown. I could feel the intensity between the characters and I loved it. Of course there is a monkey wrench thrown in, John’s ex Mariah. Ugh, just the name alone made me hate her character. LOL. The sex scenes were hot and at times the envelope was pushed but that was ok too. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next!

Characters: The characters were well written
Sex: Holy hotness
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: BDSM/Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This follows on from the end of Addict – and if, like me it has been a while since you read it, I would recommend a quick refresher. If you've not read it yet, or the free 0.5 book Lost Desires, then you are in for a real treat!

This is a sexy, and yet quite confusing read, as these two characters try to develop their chemistry into possibly a relationship. It is an interesting journey ... which does not end by any means in this book – so Ms. Orman better be busy writing the next book...

Going undercover for the FBI, I use contacts I made while in the Marines to get one step closer to a murderer. However, I quickly discover there is a whole lot more to the story than I anticipated. Nothing is what it appeared to be.

Having the President gone, leaves me in charge of the Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. It’s nothing I can't handle until a fiery little thing shows up throwing off everything, especially my head. I tried to stay away, but couldn't. I never thought she'd be the one to ruin everything.

This is a Stand Alone Book in the Her Series.

Mary Jo – ☆☆☆
The Players: Blaze and Monk

The Story: Blaze is an undercover FBI agent who is using her past friendship with Ryan, sister of the Tortured Souls MC leader – and wife of his second in command, to get information about the various disappearances of people who had previously been associated with the club.

Monk is the club enforcer. Since the MC has gone legit, his duties now mainly deal with keeping its members out of trouble. Not to say that Monk has any in way, gone soft.

Plot: Blaze comes to the club under false pretenses. She's told Ryan that her ex beat her up and she needs a safe place to hide for a while. Ryan is not one to turn down a fellow marine, so she invites her to stay at the clubhouse. Once there, Blaze starts sneaking around and discreetly asking questions about the club's past.

Monk takes an instant liking to Blaze, one that he tries to keep to himself. Once he realizes that Blaze is interested in him as well, the two can't keep their hands off each other.

When Blaze must decide where her loyalties truly lay, she knows that no one is walking out of this unscathed.

What worked/what didn't: Monk has been a part of this club for over 20 years. Seems to me that it would take more than him getting drunk a couple of times to spill any deep dark secrets that he may have had. Also, the timeline at the end of the book was a little confusing. I would have preferred clearer time delineations. I would have liked to have seen more of Blaze's integration into the club and of her and Monk's relationship after everything had happened.

Part of a Series: Yes, "Her" series

Heat Level: off the charts

Mary – ☆☆☆☆
I love this series and Blaze and Monk did not disappoint me. Blaze is sent undercover by the FBI to take down the Tormented Souls MC. She uses her friendship with Ryan to get in. She tries to stay away from the men but she is drawn to Monk. It is fast paced and well written. You will be glued to every page to find out what happens next. Can she do her job without getting caught? Or losing her heart to Monk? Will she be able to live with herself if she gets them taken down for the wrong reasons? Can Monk ever forgive her? I would have liked a little more background on Blaze and more at the end, but that is just me with a great series I always want more. And Rachael Orman is one of my favorites out there. If you love a great MC story, then you should read this series, you will love it too.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third in a series, and took a very different slant to the previous two. I had mixed feelings about how it panned out, but it certainly made me think. It was good to catch up with Ryan and her clan, and see how the MC has moved on.

Do read it and see what you think; I was fascinated by the outcome of the story and will be interested to read other reviews to see what views are out there. I think this is a polarising kind of story.

Mother by day. Writer by night. I spend a majority of my day with my children and reading while my nights are filled with the sound of the keyboard as I work on my next work.

I have written in nearly every LBGT category as well as the traditional erotic romance category.

I love to try new things and learn from every piece of work I write. I'll write just about anything once to learn from it. I've even ventured out of my normal erotica genre into Monster Erotica. Doubt you'll find me writing anything not erotic as you can barely get me to even read something out of that category, but then again, you never know what I might try next.

Never stop learning. Try everything at least once.
