Spreading my legs with his knee, he smiled down at me and covered my body with his, leaning on his elbows to keep his full weight off of me. I was small underneath his body, utterly at his mercy. It was an archaic feeling, but I wanted him to take me, to claim me for his own—leave his mark on me.

“I love the way you look when you’re happy, it’s breathtaking the way your face glows,” he claimed, brushing his fingers down my cheek. “However, your eyes are what I love the most.”

“Why is that?” I asked, kissing his fingers as be brushed them over my lips.

He brought his own gray gaze down closer and looked deeply into my eyes. “When I look at you, I see that light, beckoning me closer. It’s that light I’ve been so afraid will burn out if you let me in, but the more time I’ve spent with you, it’s only gotten brighter. I’m addicted to it … to you. These days I can’t seem to think of anything else.”

I felt the same way.

“And once you make love to me it’ll only get worse,” I admitted tenderly. “Is that a risk you’re willing to take?”

He lowered his lips to mine and I closed my eyes, loving the way my lips tingled every time they touched his. “Yes,” he answered. “I’d risk just about anything for you.”

This is the third book in the series, and it is definitely a good idea to read them first. Partly because they are excellent reads, but also it makes all the complicated interrelationships clearer (well, at least a little bit!)

If you like your men hot and strong, Tyler will definitely gain your interest and hold it. Kacey is a great female lead; sexy, principled, a good friend and distant from her less than perfect family. I loved this story, although there were times I had to stop reading due to the tension. Hopeless I know, but when I am invested in a couple, it can get all too worrying at times.

Looking forward to reading more of this great series as there are a lot of characters who are keen to find out how their stories work out!

The story starts where A Fighter's Desire leaves off. Tyler is hiding his relationship with his friend Matt's little sister, Gabriella. When they finally decide to break things off, they know they will always be friends. Tyler Rushing is the typical bad boy player, who is next in line for the title. He has no desire to be a one woman man, until he meets Kacey. Something about her refusal of him draws him to her. He likes the challenge. Kacey Andrews wants to stay away from the world of MMA, but something about Tyler's softer side draws her to him. Kacey is hiding a secret that she knows will tear her and Tyler apart. She is Kyle Andrew's sister. Kyle is Tyler's nemesis and it just so happens to be who Tyler needs to beat to win the title. Will Tyler understand that Kacey isn't like her brother?

One of my favorite things to read about is fighters. I am a huge MMA fan. Ms. Dover did not disappoint with Tyler! It was a bonus seeing glimpses of Ryley and Ashleigh in this book. I CANNOT wait to see what Ms. Dover has in store for them in Ryley's Revenge!

I could not wait for Tyler's story. He captivated me in the beginning and I had to have more. I love MMA fighters and Tyler is up there with my top fighters. He is headed for the championship and there is nothing standing in his way. When he meets Kacey, he doesn't know why but he wants more with her. After meeting Kacey, Tyler seems to be more focused and in tune with what he needs to do to win. But what will he do when he learns the truth about Kacey? She tried to stay away from him, since she knows all about fighters. Or at least she thought she did. Will she tell him the truth before he finds out from someone else? Can either of them move past her secret and move on together? I am loving this series and can't wait for Ryley's Revenge (Gloves Off #3). If you love MMA then you need to read this series, you will love it too.
