Yes, Mistress by N.J. Cole Blog Tour

Em Grayson had everything she wanted—the perfect life, the perfect job, nothing to hold her back. Or so she thought until she attended a BDSM convention in Las Vegas that turned her world upside down and had her questioning everything. Approached by an old friend about a business opportunity in Reno, she’s forced to look at her current situation and make life altering decisions.

Violet Jennings is a quiet submissive who longs for acceptance in her life. She begins to find an inner peace while working as a receptionist in a BDSM club. When she meets the mysterious M, she’s driven by a need to serve more than ever been before.

Together, will these two be able to find the happiness that has alluded them? Will the need to dominate and serve be enough? Or will they find more than they were looking for?

Warning: This book contains a BDSM relationship between two consenting adult women. There are scenes that some might find offensive or might act as a trigger.

This is a really good read. It is a standalone which could definitely be expanded upon, as there are a group of interesting side characters (not so subtle request to Ms. Cole!). I loved the pace, the tone, the people, the situation. It was neither sickly sweet, nor unduly harsh; the drama was not extreme, the caring and love developed and drew in both the characters and the reader. There was comedy in the form of Peanut; family drama on both sides, but most of all a hot, sexy relationship between two very different women. Fabulous telling of a story about two people falling for each other with a BDSM world. Great couple of twists thrown in for good measure.

This undoubtedly has made its way onto my reread pile, and I shall be checking out other books by this talented author.

Yes, Mistress is a lovely piece of erotic BDSM fiction. Very early on Mistress M tells us that sex isn't love. When I read that I knew this book would be good.

Told from the point of view of M, a dominatrix and a woman who grew up in a well to do family, the story takes us from a point in M's life where she is single and care free to a wonderful end she did not see coming.

As this is erotica there are many love scenes and while the story does have its ups and downs it doesn't have huge amounts of drama.

The only drawback for me was Violet calling M Mummy. For me that was a little creepy. It is explained why this is done but I still struggled with it. Aside from that I really enjoyed this story and I'm hoping the author is planning to write Colton's book for us.

Mistress M (Em) is a professional Dominatrix who works in a BDSM club in Philly. When she attends a convention in Vegas she runs into a friend that offers her an opportunity she can't pass up. When M decides to move to Reno, she knows instantly that she has made the right decision. Especially since that decision has her seeing more of Violet. She watched Violet (a submissive) scene with Eric in Vegas and she's been unable to get Violet out of her head.

This is a very sweet love story. I enjoyed it the whole way through. It is a very erotic story. The character development had me invested. I am not new to reading BDSM books, but this is the first F/F I have ever read. I did find the use of "Mommy" to be a little weird, but it didn't distract me too much from the story line.

This is the first book by this author for me and I think it was done very well. I can't wait to read more by Ms. Cole. I loved Eric and Colton and I am hoping that the hinting to another book involving Mary lets me see more of Colton!

NJ Cole is a Midwestern girl with a kinky side. She works by day and writes by night, all while being a mother to her wonderful boys and serving her Sir. Unlike many of today’s authors, she chooses to write in first person, allowing the readers to experience life through the eyes of the unique characters that live in her head. Her love of those characters and respect for their stories come through loud and clear in her writing. Reaching Amazon’s top 100 list in Erotica with Midnight Caller and Landslide, NJ Cole promises to entertain and excite the reader with her newest tales of love, romance, and as always, hot, steamy sex.
