One Kiss by Aleatha Romig Release Blitz

One Kiss. Small-town, grumpy/sunshine, best friend’s little sister, age-gap, forbidden, standalone. Fall in love this summer with a new Aleatha ‘lighter ONE’.

Confirmed bachelor—that’s what I’ve become.

Life is safe and predictable. After all, Riverbend doesn’t exactly have a roaring social life or an influx of women looking to be the wife of a farmer.

Hold on.

I’m not looking for a wife—or even a girlfriend.

When my best friend tells me that his little sister, Devan, is moving back to Riverbend to teach science, I envision the little girl with pigtails, freckles, and an annoying urge to be wherever her older brother was. Of course, that was twelve years ago when she was ten years old.

Newsflash. Devan is no longer a child.

Imagine my shock when I learn that she is the woman who disappeared after one passionate kiss—one I couldn’t get out of my head.

Once I realize Devan is my mystery woman, I can’t walk away.

The problem is that she’s my best friend’s little sister, ten years younger than me, and definitely off-limits.

What will it mean for my friendship if I pursue my feelings?

Can one kiss change everything?

One Kiss is a stand-alone, age-gap, best friend’s sister, small-town forbidden contemporary romance set in Riverbend, Indiana, and one of Aleatha’s Lighter Ones. Sit back and enjoy the hijinks as Justin’s safe and predictable world is turned upside down.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
It is sometimes just what you need to read, a book where you are guaranteed a low level of drama – sometimes I find myself so keyed up waiting on a disaster that I can miss the good bits along the way! That said, there are enough amusingly tense bits to keep that enjoyable level of anticipation alive too!

Devan promised herself that she would not be stuck in her hometown after college, but a job opportunity presents itself which she feels she should take, even if only for now. A chance encounter with an old-time crush may just add to the plus side of her decision! I really enjoyed how the return to her old family home is described, and the return to immaturity by her and her older brother when dealing with who has the best room, etc. It is definitely true that it is easy to slip back into those family roles.

Justin is Devan's brother's best friend and their farms neighbour each other – he is more than a little surprised to discover that the woman he kissed at the recent party was in fact Devan! He soon realises, though, that his interest in her was more than fleeting, and changes his opinions on dating very quickly in the face of their chemistry and empathy.

I really enjoyed the lightness of the romance and the importance of the other story – the desire to keep Riverbend a community of integrity and family, rather than letting in cheap developments to change the fabric of the environment.

A very enjoyable, cheeky, and refreshingly honest romance.

M/F Age-Gap Romance

Justin is living life. He lives in a small town and knows that he will forever be a bachelor. Nothing his best friends can say will change that. But after a steamy encounter with a stranger, Justin knows that if he can just find that woman again, he would love to find her and have more fun.

Devon is just starting out in her life. With a new job on the horizon, she just wants to make sure that moving back home is truly something that will move her forward and not backwards. When she realizes that the best kiss of her life was her brother's best friend, Devon isn't sure what to do.

This is a light story that involves family, friends, love, and fun. You won't be disappointed, but this story was a little slow for me and while I enjoyed it, it just wasn't the Romig I was used to. Totally my own opinion. You'll still love it.
