A
fake relationship with a stranger. An office romance with doughnuts and white
knights. An addictive arrangement—friends with benefits—fast turns to love.
Jonah Gray is rich, successful, and the most eligible bachelor in the city,
according to his mother, at least. But the truth is, despite her efforts to
pair him off, he’s fine on his own. All he needs is a date to the Christmas
ball.
Sacha Ivanov is a lone wolf, content in the cycle of long days, late nights,
and anonymous hook ups, but when a chance encounter in a broken-down lift
brings a gorgeous copper-haired CEO into his life, everything begins to change.
As Christmas fast approaches, a favour for a stranger blooms into something
more. He doesn’t do second dates or relationships. But for kind-hearted Jonah,
his angel in the city, he might just change his mind.
Angels in the City is a Christmas themed MM friends-to-lovers, forced
proximity, office romance. Expect fraught days, steamy nights, and true love
built around festive snacks and Christmas trees.

Sarah – ☆☆☆☆
This is a sweet and sexy Christmas story from Garrett Leigh. Jonah and Sacha
first meet when trapped in a broken down office elevator together. The
unconventional relationship that develops between them is equal parts charming
and infuriating. Their connection demands more than a hookup but neither Jonah nor
Sacha does relationships.
This is the lighter, happier side to Garrett Leigh. Jonah and Sacha both have a
little angst in their backstories, but their romance is an easy mashup of
familiar romance tropes. The sexual tension that builds between the
not-quite-coworkers is delectable and there’s a little more humour than I
usually expect from this author. Unlike most American Christmas romance, the
Christmas schmaltz is kept to a minimum here and in good British tradition,
mostly focuses on after work drinks at the pub and a little festive food and
shopping. I really enjoyed the little Russian Christmas touches.
This is an office romance that manages to stay interesting. Which is rare. I
actually enjoyed the little snippets of Sacha and Jonah’s work and I love that
the author manages to make two workaholics feel well rounded and engaging. This
isn’t my favourite of the author’s books by far, but the writing is solid, and
I found it impossible not to fall hard for both Jonah and Sacha.
