Hollie was both Cade and Sawyer's best friend growing up. They knew things about each other that nobody else knew. But because they were young and didn't know very much about love, the communication was poor and the feelings were jumbled. Hollie did what she could in order to protect herself and the boys that she cared for so much.
Cade and Sawyer never recovered from Hollie leaving the way she did. For years they blamed themselves and each other. There was animosity that went deeper than the puppy love they thought they had, but neither was ever really able to put words to how they were feeling.
Cade and Sawyer were pillars in their community. But with the gaping wound that Hollie left, they are reluctant to work together. With Hollie in town to try and save their hometown, it will take all three of them pulling together to save their community from a raging storm. With past hurts still festering and old wounds reopened, can they fix what went wrong or are they doomed to repeat the past?
These three have a chemistry that comes from their deep connection years ago. They are able to fall back into their old habits easily and that helps generate the steamy connection they act on now.
This was a sweet story about finding where you truly belong and forgiving yourself and those around you. It's a quick read and you won't be disappointed.
