Right Next Door by Delilah Peters

Everything she was waiting for moved in right next door…

A single mom by day and ER nurse by night, Emma kissed her wild past goodbye to focus on raising her two young daughters. Nobody with kids has the time to be chasing orgasms. Juggling work and laundry is tricky, but she’s keeping it together—mostly.

Single dad Will Taylor hauled his collection of concert T-shirts and carpentry tools to New Bedford expecting to build a new life with his young son. A fresh start with great schools, good friends… and the hottest mom he’s ever seen, living a scant ten yards from his front door.

From the very first time they touch, Emma and Will’s connection is electric. Soon stolen kisses and dirty texting aren’t enough—they need adults-only alone time. And lots of it.

The Dirty Bits from Carina Press give you what you want, when you want it. Designed to be read in an hour or two, these sex-filled microromances are guaranteed to pack a punch and deliver a happily-ever-after.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
I am enjoying the variety and different ways that authors have interpreted "The Dirty Bits" in this series from Carina Press. I would recommend that you give them a try – and remember the premise of all the 'good' bits in a short story and judge them on that basis. They are quick, often cheeky, forays into passion, often with a quick transition to romance. Sometimes a short, sexy story is just what you need!

This story, though short, gives us a much deeper insight into the needs of these two neighbours, as well as some gloriously naughty bits! As they are both being single parents, there is a common bond, although the reasons are different. Their strength and their pleasure in each other soon become evident and heart-warming.

This is a perfect one-sitting read, which will have you smiling, and maybe shedding a tear... as well as maybe feeling a little heated!

Emma is living her life, her way. Well, as much her way as she can. Working nights as a nurse is tough. But her girls are worth it. Despite having a dead-beat ex, Emma knows that she is giving her girls everything she can.

Will is learning how to live in a new place. With his son and his ex-wife, Will is learning that he can have it all. When he meets his sexy next door neighbor, he knows that he has to make sure that he can give what his son needs, as well as what a new partner might need.

Together, these two will have to figure out how to navigate their jobs, kids, and a budding relationship. While the characters have a connection, it seemed that it was mostly through their kids at first. I liked watching their relationship turn more to a romantic one. However, I also felt that despite their connection, they had a very one-dimensional relationship. While their past trauma was discussed, it didn't compensate for the overall lack of relationship feeling.

Delilah is, as you might have guessed, a secret pen name. After years of writing rip-your-heart-out women's fiction, Delilah decided it was time to shake things up and write something that was actually... fun. Shhhh! She may never go back...

Raised in a small, frigid town in Upstate New York, she now lives in a small, steamy town in the South with her hero, three wild children, four cats, and snuggle puppy. She likes flawed characters, Octobers, memes, and quiet... and can never get enough of any of them. When she's not writing, she likes to cross-stitch inappropriate sayings in pretty colors.
