Kneel by Eden Butler Blog Tour

Dash Justice wrote the songs everyone sings.

His face hangs on every girl’s wall. But Dash wasn’t always a rock God.

Once, he was just Jamie, the boy I loved.

But when my name, sung from his lips promised I was good for only one thing, all sweet thoughts of him die.

Now his excuses mean nothing. His apologies are weak and I’m about to show the world that even rock Gods can be brought to their knees.

This is an erotic romance novel not suitable for young audiences... or people with heart conditions.

5 "that was flipping awesome" stars!

I've never heard of Eden Butler and have never before read a single thing by her, but she sure has my number!

Kneel was rock star romance perfection for me. I fell hard for Jamie (aka Dash) and felt my heart break when Iris had to leave him for his own good, so many years before he became the God of Rock. The story goes back and forth from present to past and the story of Jamie and Iris unfolds in perfect timing. Never leaving us hanging too long to know what the heck happened in the past but enough to build up the tension, making me read with fervor to find out what drove them to be the people they are now. The mistakes and the betrayal, the love, hatred, and passion between the two are flawlessly written. I couldn't wait to get home to pick up my Kindle where the story left off and live a little longer in their world. The ending was slightly cliffhanger-ish but not horrible and you're gonna wanna know what happens, so have it on hand! Absolutely one of my top reads for 2017.

I enjoyed the book. There are a lot of times that back and forth in time confuses me, however, this book needed it to understand the whole story between these two characters.

Iris and Jamie's (Dash) story is actually heartbreaking the more you read through, but you can understand all the other emotions that come from them too.

The way this book ended, the next book should be a good one and I can't wait for it.

As I rated Ms. Butler's Thin Love as a 5-star read, I was really excited to get this book to review; and delighted that it was the first of a new series.

The book is told with flashbacks, which add an immediacy and a depth to what is unfolding in the present day. They clarify where the music started, and the relationship between Jamie and Iris. That reasons that things went so wrong, and the impact of Iris's mother's revelations, are quite shocking. I had to stop reading at points because it was too intense, and I was worried about just how the story was going to turn next. There are some wonderful details in the writing, which engage the reader and draw them into the story even more. For example, I loved the changing use of terms of affection, which we soon learned meant a lot, or a little.

The Rock Star issues are unexpected, but rather clever. I am also guessing many other book bands will be jealous of the comfortable bus and regular hotel stays!

There are a number of fascinating plots interlinking and still in need of resolution, so I am definitely looking forward to Beg.

Eden Butler is an editor and writer of Mystery, Suspense and Contemporary Romance novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum.

When she’s not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, Eden patiently waits for her Hogwarts letter, edits, reads and spends way too much time watching rugby, Doctor Who and New Orleans Saints football.

She is currently living under teenage rule alongside her husband in southeast Louisiana.
