Wildly Wedded Wife by Erica Chilson

Bethany Oman: Another six months and my thesis will be finished, and then I can stop this suffocating charade. My dream is to become a therapist specializing in sexual dysfunction. What better way to write my thesis than in a Playroom filled with sexual deviants? Only problem, I had to become a deviant in order to gain entrance to the Playroom… and then I had to explain my motivations to Augustus Kline, who offered me protection for a very steep toll.

My other dream is standing before me, smirking with anticipation. My original, lifelong-dream, who could easily destroy any hope of my becoming a therapist if I’m not careful.

And Rory Essex makes me feel anything but careful.

Willing to do anything it takes to gain the woman he loves, Rory makes a deal with Beth, which forces him to bargain with the Devil Himself.

Accepting Augustus Kline’s toll into the Playroom, Rory gains the key to making Bethany his Wildly Wedded Wife.

Author’s Note: Wildly Wedded Wife is Book #2 in the Blended Series. Contemporary Romance with erotic themes, featuring MF & MM scenes.

This was a cute, quick read involving characters that were mentioned in Good Girl.
I LOVED the note from the author in the beginning of this novella... AND her note before Chapter 8 (not that I heeded that note, but it was nice to have it).
I have to say that for a novella, this really felt like a complete story based on one event.
I really did want to know the how/why of Rory and Bethany and this book gave me everything I needed to know.
Looking forward to the next book!

After re-reading this, I have to add that you can really feel the love that Rory has for Bethany. This short novella is a refreshing love story.

This short novella tells the not so innocent story of how Rory and Bethany finally hooked up. Beth has adored Rory for years and when he finally notices her, she puts him off. Her education is more important that having a man, or so she believes.

Rory is tired of waiting and does something Beth never thinks he would do: he gains admittance to the Playroom.

Hot and steamy with a bit of angst thrown in, you have a story worthy of the Blended family.

Nicely done, Wicked Writer, nicely done.

Beth has wanted Rory for as long as she knew what that meant and spent her younger years chasing him. But now that they are older and he is chasing her, she is saying no until she finishes school.

Beth is a member of the Playroom and pays a high price in order to have access to Auggie, who is the subject of her thesis. In order to get the woman he loves and access to the Playroom, Rory will have to pay his own price.

I love the way their traditional style romance of childhood friends is woven in with the deviance of life of the participants in the Playroom. Beth and Rory are a couple that were meant to be. The story is fun, romantic, sexy, and has a good dose of screwed up crazy thrown in too. I loved it.

Ms. Chilson reminds us in the beginning of this novella that she is more used to writing weighty novels – and I for one am delighted that her books are always an amazingly substantial read. Yet she has quite definitely got the art of writing a short story at her fingertips too. This lovely insight into the world of two side characters of the Blended series is a hit!

This is the hot, steamy, yet incredibly poignant and romantic story of Bethany and Rory. It falls between Good Girl and Widow, yet it can most definitely be read after Widow without any loss of impact at all.

Go on, get your copy and indulge in this wonderful, sexy read.

Erica Chilson does not write in the 3rd person, wanting her readers to be her characters. Therefore, writing a bio about herself, is uncomfortable in the extreme.

Born, raised, and here to stay, the Wicked Writer is a stump-jumper, a ridge-runner. Hailing from North Central Pennsylvania, directly on the New York State border; she loves the changes in seasons, the humid air, all the mountainous forest, and the gloomy atmosphere.

Introverted, but not socially awkward, Erica prides herself on thinking first and filtering her speech. There are days she doesn’t speak at all. If it wasn’t for the fact that she lives with her parents, giving her a sense of reality, she would be a hermit, where the delivery man finds her months after expiration.

Reading was an escape, a way to leave a not-so pleasant reality behind. Reading lent Erica the courage she gathered from the characters between the pages to long for a different life. Writing was an instrument of change, evolving Erica into the woman she is today- a better, more mature, more at peace thinker.

Erica has a wicked mind, one she pours out into her creations. Her filter doesn’t allow all of it to erupt, much to her relief. Sarcastic, with a very dark, perverse sense of humor, Erica puts a bit of herself into every character she writes.
