Reaper's Stand by Joanna Wylde Blog Tour

As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.

Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.

Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?

“Okay, let’s get some shit straight and then you can head out.” Great, here it came. The Talk. Fortunately I was ahead of him for once.

“Don’t worry, Reese. I know this was just a one-off for you, and that you don’t want a relationship. That’s what I needed, too, so in a way it’s perfect. No harm, no foul. We can just pretend this never happened.”

A scowl covered his face. “What the fuck are you talking about?”

“Us. Or rather, the fact that there isn’t an ‘us.’ I get it—you like to sleep around. I had a good time, but I’m not expecting a ring or anything.”

His eyes widened, and I smirked.

“Although I’ll be around if you want another booty call,” I added slyly.

Yay me! I’m a sophisticated woman who knows the difference between love and sex.

Reese’s scowl grew deeper, and then suddenly he moved and I was under him, pinned down against the bed. He pulled my hands up, holding them prisoner above my head.

“Are you fucked in the head?” he demanded harshly. “You get laid for the first time in years, it’s phenomenal—”

“Well, aren’t you the modest one?”

“It’s phenomenal,” he repeated, emphasizing the word heavily. “And now you’re just going to ignore me? I am not fuckin’ down with that.”

This book MADE my September, I am possibly enamored to the max with Reese "Picnic" Hayes. This book had everything and I couldn't have asked for more.... Love, Betrayal, Humor, and Hot as f*ck sex scenes. I could not put this book down. I haven't enjoyed a book like this since Horse and Marie got together. The Cartel in this one has started causing problems and London gets caught up in the whirlwind. Some of the scenes in this book are so d*mn hot I think I got eye strain from my eyes being glued to the print. The author nailed this book, and now sadly I'm going to have to wait for another one. Five fan-f*cking-tastic stars!

I have been waiting for this book since I finished Devil's Game. I love this series, no seriously there is physical love for this MC. I think I did a little happy dance when Picnic showed up on my Kindle.

So we all know where Devil's Game leaves off (if you don't you really should read this series in order for it to make any sense and besides getting back story on Horse alone is worth it!). Picnic's wife Heather died six years before from cancer, he declared then he would never have another old lady. Picnic became a man on a mission to fill those six years with club whores.

London Armstrong owns a cleaning business, she works for the club cleaning the Pawn Shop. London isn't in the club life and every interaction with Picnic intimidates her. Picnic has been fighting his attraction to London. London is involved with the deputy, but she finds Reese starring in her fantasies. Can Picnic be the man she needs? Can London fill that void in his life?

I loved the suspense, the mentions to other club members and non-members, loved getting small updates on them. I now begin the process of waiting, but I think a re-read maybe in order. Go back to the beginning again, take my time instead of flying through the pages having to inhale the story. I get to go back and catch the details I missed the first time through.

Reaper's Stand had me on the edge of my seat right from the first page. It has a killer prologue that left me gob smacked.

I adored this story. London is a great heroine - hard working, caring and strong - she won't be pushed around. Picnic is a great leader, all male and very clever.

This story has lots of twists and turns, most of which you think you can see coming but you're still not sure and if what you think is going to happen actually will and if and when it does, then what?

Reaper's Stand is a fantastic read from start to finish and easily the best book in the series so far. I highly recommend not only Reaper's Stand but the whole series.
