Rolling onto her belly, Tori felt torn by shame at the pleasure his hands held
against her. Massaging her arms and legs, he breathed deeply in a steady
pattern, and she began to inhale and exhale in a slow rhythm. Using the large
flat area of his hands, he pushed heavily, then pinched larger sections between
fingers and palms, kneading her as if she were a lump of dough for a loaf of
bread. His movements were intoxicating, and she relaxed into his caresses.
Working the muscles that covered her ribs and back, Michael could feel she was beginning to calm herself. A boyish grin crossed his lips as he swung his leg over her and squatted on the backs of her thighs so he could press down using his weight. Pushing heavily on her buttocks with the heels of his hands, he caused her legs to tense and spasm slightly, then unwind, completely refreshed. Brushing a few loose hairs out of the way, he was consumed by the fire that she kindled within him. "Shit," he muttered. He wanted her in the worst way, the evidence suddenly becoming more than he could hide.
Trying to be respectful of her needs, he slid to the side and stretched out next to her, his right hand continuing to move up and down the length of her back. She lay facing him, her eyes closed, and he wondered if she had fallen asleep during his comforting strokes. Releasing a deep sigh, his thoughts swirled, 'I wish I could make her see how much I love her,' not realizing he already had.
Feeling his breath on her face, Tori lifted her lids and stared at him. Pushing herself up on her elbow, she gazed at his perfect lips for a moment, and he watched her deep blue eyes, patiently waiting for what she needed to say. “I have done… some terrible things,” she finally admitted. She had never intended to tell him about her transgressions, but lying with him now, she knew she had no choice, as he deserved to hear the truth...

This book presents Tori with an entirely NEW dilemma, one she's NEVER faced before, and we watch as she works to overcome it.
This was very light on action, after the last book I as just expecting a LOT more about the Feds and the Organization. Instead we delved into Tori & Michael's life, their reunion, and the forging of a true family.
I HAVE to know what happens next!!!

We desperately want Tori to have a new life – a better life and the best thing about this series is we don't really know what that looks like. With Indelible we learn that perhaps Tori doesn't know what it looks like either.
Pulled in opposite directions by Michael and Brian, our heroine is caught in the middle. Indelible shows us that balancing your own wants and needs against the needs of those you love is no easy feat.
Indelible, book 5 in Samantha Jacobey's New Life series, is another great piece of Tori's story.

This is the fifth book in this fantastic series. Only two more to go – which is a relief, as I hope it means peace for Tori, but also a shame as I will miss her crazy life. If you have not yet read the previous books, then please stop reading this and go back and get up to speed!
After the last book, which was pretty much a steep rollercoaster ride, and saddening as Tori went back to her old ways, I was almost nervous to read on. However, this is a beautiful book, which brings back the love in the story, although maybe in overload for the heroine. There are some wonderful light touches, which bring both the reader and the characters back to earth, and after a hesitant start it is lovely to see Tori and Michael on a better track. The dilemmas they face are life changing, rather than life ending...
... But Ms. Jacobey plays with us, for I am sure that the last two installments will be nothing like as calm as this one – so I am doing up the lap belt and holding on for the final stages of the ride.
