The 7th book in the New Life series completely smashed my expectations!

All the questions I've had, including: What part does the FBI play in Tori's life? What exactly is the Organization? Who is Eli (really? What's the importance of Brett & Enrique? All of these questions are FINALLY answered (thankfully).
The turmoil in Tori's life was the main focus for the past 6 books, we watched her grow and mature. More importantly though she found "herself," she found love, she found family, and she found her true inner-strength. I loved watching her "come into her own" as it wasn't far-fetched, it was relatively believable.
This book was more focused on bringing closure to her "past" life – and what an adventure it was!!!
Tori returned to the ass-kicking heroine, whom I've grown to love, this time with a TEAM on her side.

After all is said and done, Tori still has to choose which life she wants to lead. Will she chose the quiet life with Michael? The rocker life with Brian/Danny? Or....???

I'm sad to say goodbye to this series, but it was one hell of a ride!

Tori and the guys are going after the Organization. Will they be able to take them down before anyone gets hurt? With Eli and Mason, the FBI agents, they begin sorting pages of the files gotten from Godfry's office. With a plan of attack and everyone ready, they will begin in Denver, then L.A., Miami and finish up in New York. Will Michael let Enrique spend time with her or will he speak up? And what is keeping her sick? But when she comes up missing, can Michael and Enrique find her before it is too late? This series is great and will take you on one girl’s dark journey and it will break your heart. You will learn more about Tori with each addition to this series. If you are looking for a dark, disturbing and sometimes suspenseful story then enjoy this one. I loved it.

After six tumultuous reads I was almost reluctant to read this final book. After all, whilst things are still unresolved I could use my imagination – and make sure it turns out well! But I needn't have worried – Ms. Jacobey has done an amazing job – even if she tortured me a little (a lot) along the way!

There have been so many twists and turns that I really had given up deciding who I thought was good or bad – but luckily Tori steered the story, and even if at times I wanted back the happier version of her, I held my faith. I don't want to say more for fear of revealing even the tiniest detail that will affect your enjoyment of the story.

This is an amazing series, about an incredible character, who just proves that strength comes from within. And Tori has a huge capacity for strength in every sense of the word. It also hints at an underworld that we naïvely live in all ignorance of – for which I am actually rather grateful!

Samantha Jacobey has written a hard hitting, gritty series about a woman who has not only seen the worst that life has to offer, but has lived it. Raised to be both a weapon and a toy, Tori knows of no other life. Out of the jungles of South America, she realizes that she can no longer keep living the life of the Dragons and does something awful, fully expecting not to live through it.

Tori's journey through this series is remarkable. From a scared girl learning to trust to a confident woman fearlessly going after the future she wants, the entire series is one emotional rollercoaster after another.

Avenged, the finale in this series, is just as strong as the first novel in the series. As a reader, I feel like I've grown along with Tori as she traveled this journey.

Ms. Jacobey saved the best for last.

Avenged provides us with a kick arse, action packed end to Tori's story as she seeks to put an end to the organisation.

All through this series I've been wondering what a happy ending for Tori would look like. I was a little surprised when the ending was revealed but it worked perfectly for Tori and I loved it.

This is an excellent series that started out very dark but has moved bit by bit into the light. Ms. Jacobey shows that you can write 7 books about the story of one character and keep it fresh and interesting. Each books has its own distinct feel as Tori moves through life and learns more about herself.

I would highly recommend Avenged and the entire New Life series.

Tori is moving into uncharted territory – living with her newfound brother, husband and bandmates, while trying to figure out how to navigate the waters of the rock star life. She loves being with the band, but at times it seems as though she longs for the simpler life she and Michael had back in Texas.

Life is starting to settle down when Enrique and Brett show up at her door demanding to be her bodyguards. Michael isn't happy but knows if they came to protect Tori then something major is about to happen.

Tori is torn between her love for Michael and the temptation of Enrique and Brett. Enrique isn't making it easy for her to keep her vows and she's torn between the love in her heart and the desires of her body.

Tori seems to be going through an identity crisis. She's strong one moment and weak willed the next. Michael seems to be placing all of his happiness on Tori's ability to stay strong and love only him. I was impressed by Michael's backbone at the end of the book and I hope see more of it in the next one. Enrique and Brett both have standards in that they want to protect Tori but Enrique is annoying with his over the top pursuit of her.

Looking forward to the last installment of this series.

The 6th installment in the New Life Series advanced the story of Tori's life, but I think I was expecting more from it. Please know that I absolutely LOVE Tori, but believe this book lacked the action/adventure/etc. of the first 4 books.

Tori has finally made her decision and will no longer live in hiding. She has taken the opportunity her brother has offered, and this book is about the new direction her life is taking.
With Michael "on board" with their new career, the band starts the publicity circuit.
Quickly she realizes what this publicity can potentially mean for her family.
Being the bada$$ that Tori is, she is able to handle this situation and make it positive. Unfortunately, not everything is so easy to fix especially with the Feds and The Organization still looming in her life.

This installment was a lot of "back and forth" between Tori and Michael. Learning what they need and expect of each other, how to advance their relationship, and how to effectively communicate. Not that life is ever easy for these two – especially when temptation is thrown at Tori daily.

This installment has made Tori seem more human – she isn't just a lethal seductress. She is a wife, a self-conscious woman, a musician, a sister, and a real person. There were moments that I absolutely hated Tori: her attitude, her decisions, and her actions. More often than not, I found myself sympathizing with Michael and keeping hope alive that everything will work out in the end.

There is some serious buildup for the final book – and that I can NOT wait to get my hands on!

This is part of a series that absolutely has to be read in order, so if you are just here by chance, go and find book one and get the whole story. You will not be disappointed.

Ms. Jacobey really knows how to keep the reader guessing. Each book has enough plot development to keep one guessing and enough new elements to keep it fresh. I am however delighted to think that things are going to be resolved soon. Michael may be infinitely patient, but I am not! Tori is becoming a more complex character as she tries to live a more normal life, and recognising when she is seriously out of her depth. Her fight to control her behaviour towards men is fascinating.

Even though it's been over many months that this series has been released, the characters made such an impression that is it is easy to fall back into the narrative each time.
