You have to read the previous books in this series, otherwise, the story won't make sense.

This is a fantastic conclusion to this series. Questions will be answered, lives will change, and you get to see a side of Patrick that's sweet and gentle.

Madeline is just trying to get on with her newfound life. She has found Patrick again and has their daughter, Ruby, too. Madeline knows that while her past haunts her, she'll never really be free.

Patrick and Madeline will have to fight for all they want. They were ripped apart, found their way back to each other, and now face a lot of people who want to keep them from knowing the truth.

Deception, revenge, love, and hate all wrapped up in this conclusion. It was amazing and will leave you breathless. It's a must read!


Mary – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the end of the Web of Desire trilogy and it will pull all the emotions from you while reading it.

Maddie is with Marion and has learned something that will change her life for the better if Sparrow believes it. Patrick only has one thing on his mind and that is to get Maddie to his apartment where she will be safe and with their daughter. With both Maddie and Ruby safe, the Sparrow men can do their thing and keep everyone safe and the lockdown on the Sparrow tower will be lifted.

Secrets will be learned about Marion Elliot and the troubles the Bratva are dealing with. As Maddie remembers things about her time at the beginning of her captivity, Patrick only wants to exact revenge on those that hurt her.

Will Maddie be able to tell Patrick all that she endured? Can Patrick still want her after he learns what she went through? Will Sparrow send her away after they rescue her from Marion? Will there be a future for Patrick and Maddie?

The ending in this story was perfect and was the only way for it to end. Maddie, Patrick, and Ruby are the perfect families and when you add the rest of the Sparrow family members, it only gets better. This story had me laughing and crying but in the end, the tears were happy tears.

Ashes is the final book in the Web of Desire trilogy, and THIS is how you conclude an awesome series!

I promise I won't spoil this book or this series, but will say the suspense kept me on edge. If you haven't read all the books in this world, I highly suggest starting now.

Having said that, all of the Web of Desire is fire... every single book. The characters, Patrick and Maddie, have an intense, burning chemistry which was felt from page one. The connection is undeniable, but the circumstances are interesting (if not dark and depressing).

If you couldn't tell, I loved this book. Thankfully, questions are answered, and all the secrets finally come to light. As with all of Aleatha Romig's books, you know you are getting a story full of layers. Some are positive, many are negative, but the ends always justify the means. Some of these secrets are quite dark in nature and may disturb you. I promise it's worth it though!

I love all the characters, but especially Patrick and Ruby, and I loved that we got to revisit with older favorites. I will patiently be waiting for Reid and Lorna's story.

This is the second installment in this series and it doesn't disappoint. You'll be on edge the whole time.

Patrick isn't quite sure who to believe. He hates her and yet, he still loves her too. He wants to believe her, but he also has to be loyal to his family.

Madeline wants to trust Patrick and his men, but with things so up in the air, she just kind of has to go with the flow at the moment. With danger lurking around every corner, she will have to use her brains and beauty to try and survive what's going on around her.

I don't want to say too much. Just know that you have to read this and you won't be disappointed.


Mary – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is book two in the Web of Desire series and it picks up where book one ended. So please read the first one because you do not want to miss a thing in this series.

This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions as Patrick tries to figure out the truth behind what Madeline is telling him. As a reader, you will be right there in the emotions department. Because this story is filled with intrigue, angst, heartbreak, fear, lust, and even love.

I love that as the story goes along, it also gives the backstory for where Maddie has been for 17 years. And she has been through the flames of Hell. But she is a survivor and with Patrick by her side, they can get through anything. I hope so anyway.

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat from the very first page and leave you breathless on the very last page. I NEED book three now, please.


Shelby – ☆☆☆☆☆
Book two in the Web of Desire Trilogy (please read in order) was absolutely ON FIRE from start to finish (please excuse the pun)! Book one ended so abruptly that this book was needed as soon as possible.

I promise not to spoil this story, but I will say, I feel Maddie. Her life and circumstances have been alluded to, but the truth is just unbelievable. The truth is unraveling and each little bit that's told just kills me a little more. Some people do what they NEED to do to survive.

I will say that the connections made in this book blew my mind. I didn't foresee this story going in the direction that it has, but I LOVE that it has. Please, please publish book three tomorrow!!

Aleatha Romig is an amazing writer. This is a spin-off book from the previous series, and I would highly recommend reading that one first, as there are characters from that series in this one too.

Patrick had nothing when he was younger. Now, older, wiser, and somewhat more ruthless, he has more money than he knows what to do with and respect from people all over his city. He has never forgotten where he came from and while he has no desire to go back there, it shaped him in a profound way. Patrick knows that his job is to protect his boss, but when his past comes back to smack him in the face, he's not sure if he can do that.

Maddie's beginning was about survival. She learned early on that you can only count on yourself. Smart, savvy, and beautiful, Maddie also learned the art of never showing her emotions. When she finds herself running from the authorities, she didn't expect to be saved. But with that salvation also comes a steep price.

This is the first book in the series and it will suck you right in. You'll want to turn the pages faster than ever and when you see where the story might be taking you, you'll curse and scream when you get to the end. I cannot wait to see what happens next, because I know that Romig will continue to lead us through the twists and turns of the story like only a Romig story can.

I could not wait for this book to hit my Kindle. I started reading it this morning and could not put it down. And now I have finished it and have to wait for the next one to come out.

Patrick and Maddie were kids on the streets, taking care of each other until one day she disappeared. Now, 17 years later, she is back and Patrick can't believe his eyes. Is she real or is he seeing a ghost?

As we go back to the world of Sparrows, we learn more about Patrick and his past. His love for Maddie hasn't faded but his anger has gotten harder.

Maddie is trapped in a world that only gets worse when she disappoints the boss. She can't win if she loses. So when she shows up at a poker tournament in Chicago, she can't believe her eyes when Patrick shows up in front of her.

Can Patrick convince her to stay and he protect her? Will she stay with him? Can they move on from the pain of the past?

I love this story but watch out for that holy hell cliffhanger. I was so into reading, I didn't realize I was at the end until the cliffhanger hit me square in the face. I NEED BOOK TWO NOW!!!!

I don't know where to start with this review!

This book brought me back to the olden days of Aleatha Romig's writing.

The characters in the Web of Desire series were initially introduced in the Web of Sin series. I think you could start this series on its own, but it would be much more rewarding if read in original published order.

I absolutely loved Patrick then, and am completely enthralled with him now. He's been an integral member in the Sparrow operation, we know of his past in reference to profession, but do we know his PAST? I love the layers that are uncovered as this story is told.

This story hits the ground running from page one. We are witnessing a high stakes poker tournament, we are introduced to some big wig players, and we are learning about one player in particular. She is familiar to the city of Chicago, and to Patrick in particular. The question is, why is she here?

This story grabbed me from the beginning, kept my head spinning throughout, and ended way too quickly. The chemistry between Patrick and Madeline is explosive, and I need more – much, much more.
