Sweet Fen Hawthorne is my favourite thing about working in the prison. His
broad shoulders and sunny grin. His twinkly flirtation. And he likes me as much
as I like him. More seems inevitable until life happens.
One day I’m there, then I’m not, and second chances don’t really happen when your
car breaks down halfway up a snowy mountain, do they?
Besides, I don’t remember flirting with a bearded lumbersexual, only dreaming
about one.

Do dreams come true?
Christmas Mountain is my home. But it’s the one place on earth I never imagined
seeing Rami Stone again, and now I’m snowed in with him. Trapped, with only a
roaring fire for company, and it’s a fantasy come true. The air is thick with
more than snow and the eighteen months we’ve been apart fades away.
As the snow clears, though, so does the haze. Rami says he comes with baggage.
But so do I, and I’m here for the heavy lifting.
I’m here for forever.
A Christmas MM romance from Garrett Leigh.
Expect: Long lost friends-to-lovers, heart-warming found family, and the
swooniest second chance at love with a healthy dose of sweet hurt/comfort.
Gorging on mince pies and cinnamon-spiced doughnuts is optional, but deeply
encouraged.

This is a perfect feel-good Christmas read. This is the story of two men who
are reunited in a snowstorm on a remote mountain. Once upon a time, Fen and
Rami were almost something together. When single father Rami finds himself
stranded at Fen’s farm more than a year later, there might be a little fate
involved in their reunion.
I love both of these men. As always with Garrett Leigh, there is enough grit in
both Rami and Fen’s lives to make them feel wonderfully real and loveable. The
setting is pure Christmas magic. Rami’s sister’s home is full of Christmas
cheer and Fen even owns a Christmas tree farm. Rami’s half-feral nieces and
nephew are fabulous, and I love the sense of chosen family in this book. Rami
and Fen make each other stronger as they both find space on Christmas Mountain
to work through the trauma they’ve experienced since they last knew each other.
This book is full of the best kind of holiday spirit. I will probably re-read
it during the holidays and it might end up being one of the books I revisit
each year.

This one made me melt. Rami and Fen are just soooo good together. This low
angst story grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let go! I don't read a lot
of second chance books or holiday books, this one had both and I enjoyed every
second of it. These two were meant to be together and I'm so glad they got that
second chance.

This is a wonderful feel-good story, with plenty of grit thrown in to make it
utterly believable. When Rami is driving through a snowstorm, desperate to do
the right thing by his nephew, I was holding my breath as the car started to
struggle.
I really don't want to reveal anything more, because you need to discover all
the goodness for yourself. I can tell you that even a week after reading it, I
think I could point out both men on a busy street. Garrett Leigh is very
talented at drawing out the essence of characters and making them human. They
are never perfect, they act on instinct, read things wrong, and struggle with
help being offered, but they are so much more lovable for it. I was delighted
with the idea of an office in the trees, and everything about Christmas
Mountain.
Hugely enjoyable and heartwarming, as well as a delicious and sexy romance.
