WOW. So Captive (Book 1) was really just Tori's backstory to bring us to the present. Bound picks up right where we ended.

AND what a ride it was! It has action, emotion, romance...and she FINALLY starts to learn who she is (not based on how she's been used). Tori becomes a person, and we get to watch her journey :)

The story ends on a cliff-hanger (SERIOUS cliff-hanger) and I just need to know what's going on.

These books are well written, addictive, quick reads and I will definitely be checking out more of Samantha Jacobey's work.

Wow! I am so invested in this story that I just read straight through till I finished ... with a cliffhanger ending.

The author writes with such an easy style and has an amazing story to tell. My emotions were high, low, worried, smiling at little victories and delighted as Tori's story progresses. I love the way in which multiple stories are being intertwined, so that the reader dare not make assumptions, as they will be shattered, I am sure.

If you haven't yet read Captive, then please read it first, or you will miss the whole point of this story. There are back references that refresh the memory, but that is all. Anyway, how you could you not want to read the first in this great series? I can tell I am in for the long haul.

(Luckily I am in the very privileged position of having book three ready to go!)

Veronica☆☆☆☆
Bound is book 2 in Samantha Jacobey's New Life series which will have 7 books in total. The books must be read in order as it is a continuation of Tori's story.

Book 2 takes off from where book 1 left off and we go with Tori to LA as she tries to live a "normal life." Less of this book is spent telling tales of the past although we are taken there several times.

This book was not quite as gripping as the first and at times I felt that story was a little rushed. Once again, Samantha packs a lot in to a story that is less than 200 pages.

I am totally taken in with Tori's story and we are shown both her weaknesses and strengths in Bound. A few questions we may have had are answered but many more remain and new ones raised.

I'm hooked on this series and will be starting book 3 next. If you like a challenging, engaging read, then I'd recommend Bound and the New Life series.

3.5 - 4 Stars!!!

"I woke up in Mercy Hospital in Chicago thirty-six days ago. I spent four days in the hospital portion, and then was sent over to the mental health ward for twenty-nine days. I spent two nights at the federal building and one night with Eli. In that short amount of time, my life has completely changed. I have gone from being property of a group of mercenaries living a life of pain and anguish to a young women headed to a halfway house, a job, and a future."

That's sums up what we know so far. Now we take the journey with Tori to finding herself. I loved watching Tori grow as a person.

BUT I WANT MORE ANSWERS. I was left hanging off a cliff. Where's Eli, what do the Feds have up their sleeves, Michael, her birth certificate????

I was torn on how to rate this book. There were parts I loved, and parts I found to be completely unbelievable. Example- Tori and Enrique's relationship did not feel right, too soon, not enough build-up. I really had to set that aside in my mind so I could focus on the rest of the story.

I have to say though, I'm intrigued, I definitely want more, and I will continue this web of crazy. I'll put away the things that bother me, because this story is all consuming!!!!!!

Shannan☆☆☆
I found Bound to be better than Captive, story wise, but here is where my problem is. Bound left me with so many questions and no answers. Tori moves to a half-way house in California. Gets a job she enjoys and is trying to make something with her life. When someone from her past comes to the half-way house, a relationship starts but it was so quick and no build up, I needed more...more development, something.

I do love the suspense of this story but where the hell is Eli? I need more Eli and Tori!

I know this is just number 2 of a long series but I need my answers now! I love the craziness of this story!

Can't wait to read Entwined to see if and when all my questions are answered!

Mary☆☆☆☆
Tori is headed to LA to maybe get help with fitting into society. She really doesn't know how to act around others that do not want to use her. She misses Eli and Debra and when she calls the F.B.I. office in Chicago, they are no longer assigned to the office. So she feels lost all over again. At the halfway house, there is one other girl there and she is wary of being friends. Things are starting to look up for her until a familiar face from her past shows up at the halfway house. Terry, at the music store, is showing her how the business side of business works and she is catching on fast. Terry feels it is safe to leave her to do the books and paperwork. Tori just wants her time at the halfway house to be over so she can move on and not put her new family in any danger. Seems that danger is always around the corner waiting for her. There are a few twists and turns that I was not expecting and it threw me for a loop. And then the biggest twist is the ending. Can't wait to start Entwined (book 3) shortly.

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations anywhere at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.

I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

This was a cute story with a hell of a lot of characters and even more going on. As the book developed the author seemed to be pairing everyone up in twos. I was mainly trying to focus on the first relationship developing, without all the additions, and I thought they made a cute couple with an interesting story. The story premise for this book caught my eye, and what can I say. The title was aptly named, more than I asked for. Overall entertainment was three stars. This was my first read by this author, and I would read from her again.

Angie - ☆☆☆☆☆
This book was amazing! It was the perfect balance of love, friends, family and drama. I will for sure read this book over and over! This book was a refreshing read for me; everything lately I have read seems so filled with tension or such an emotional roller coaster that this book was simply a wonderful, perfect read. After Gen finds out she was dating a gay guy for several months, her friends take her out for a night on the town. A night that she can’t remember but it changed her life forever. That night she met Lucas. Lucas is a smoking hot ex-rock star, CEO, and loves his brothers, friends and family more than anything. The chemistry between Gen and Luc is so amazing; you can feel the steam come off the pages as you read! The other characters in the book were just as wonderful and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. The epilogue was awesome and I can’t wait to see who got married and who was in the coat closet LOL. If I could give this book 10 stars I would!

Characters: These characters are just like your own family and friends. I instantly connected with each one of them and wished I was there when the girls crashed the boys’ night!
Sex: Hot and steamy
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

Ruthie - ☆☆☆☆☆
This is a really satisfying read. We get to meet a good sized group of interesting characters who will fill many fun books in the future. There is plenty of foreshadowing to get us thinking through the book! The writing is good, the protagonists are hot, and the romance is steaming; what more can a reader want?

There is a plot device which I think is both really clever, and really frustrating - and I can't tell you what it is .... see, annoying, but you now have to read it, and see what I mean! I'm hoping that in some book in the future it will be fully revealed (please Ms. Tims take heed). Suffice it to say it works to give an extra edge.

I recommend that you pick up a copy and set aside some me time and just dive in and enjoy.

Raised in New Jersey on the shore, TJ began reading romance novels at the age of fourteen when she picked up Elda Minger’s The Dare. From that day forward she hasn’t stopped reading romance novels of all subgenres. While focusing on her career working in a corporate office and reading at night TJ somehow found herself married and pregnant when she paused to breathe between novels. After being laid off and giving birth to her son, she threw herself into being a stay at home mom.

One month her husband was very upset at her for spending forty dollars on books when she became “one click” happy, later that evening when doing the math she realized she spent FOUR HUNDRED dollars on books, silly husband somehow dropped a zero. Destroying the evidence since she was already placed on book probation, TJ decided to think of ways to curb her purchasing. The only way that would satisfy her active mind seemed to be exercising it by writing her own stories. A story turned into a novel, and a novel into a series. During the day TJ focuses on her household that is overrun with testosterone; one beefcake husband, one son that takes after beefcake husband, and two male dogs. Nights Embrace by Brandy L. Rivers Blog Tour

Nights Embrace - Tour Banner

It all started with a song.

Roxana Nights was late to another gig, thanks to her first love, and drummer. It’s been years since she left Jordan, but he won’t let her go. Then she hears a voice that pulls her under a spell and changes her whole world.

Trevor Malone just moved to Seattle with his band. Music is his only passion, until he lays eyes on Roxana. He’s never felt anything as strong as the pull to her. Now he needs to find a way to introduce her to his world.

There’s only one problem. A rival clan won’t rest until they've taken Trevor’s down. Unwilling to let old grudges die, they target Roxy. Trevor will do anything to keep her safe.

Roxy will find that the world she writes is closer to reality than she ever imagined. She’ll also learn that not all monsters are evil, though some are ruthless.

Will love stay strong when the past comes out? Can they survive the centuries old vendetta?

She slipped past him, and onto the wings of the stage. Her gaze fell on Mr. Voice who was tall, dark and smokin’ hot.

Holy shit, I want to lick him.

Scuffed combat boots were laced up over black leather pants that clung to muscular thighs, and his black shirt molded to the most impressive set of abs she had ever seen. Roxy wanted to trace the ridges with her fingertips.

He turned, his voice dropping low as his eyes locked on hers. His words enveloped her. “… you’re the only one.”

Her heart paused a beat before slamming into her chest at a rapid pace. His full mouth lifted into a grin that spoke of confidence as he held her full attention. Entranced, she fell deep into his eyes and the world stopped.

Until a drumstick hit him in the head. He looked over his shoulder and shrugged sheepishly at his drummer before turning back to launch into the next verse.

Mikey gently shook her shoulder. “Hey, Rox, come on. We have to warm up.”
Her head bobbed in a nod at her brother, but she didn't look over. She muttered, “Yeah, give me a minute,” or longer.

As if he heard, Mr. Voice glanced over and winked at her before the next song started. “Blinded by beauty, falling at first sight, head over heels…” There was raw passion in his voice, and she couldn't help wishing he was singing about her.

Roxy melted further. He clearly wanted her as badly as she wanted him, but he wasn’t rushing. She loved that he was taking his time to get to know her. He made her feel treasured in a way she never imagined. – Nights Embrace

Roxy is intrigued by Trevor. He's almost too good to be true, almost. Trevor has waited a lifetime to find this mate and now that he's found her, he doesn't want to let her go. But he also doesn't know how to tell her what he is.

Hang out with Roxy and Trevor and see where they end up. With Roxy's ex a pain in her side, a creepy wanna-be girlfriend from Trevor's past, mixed in with Roxy's unknown father, you have a story that will keep you glued to your seat.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the first of a new series but involves characters from The Others of Edenton series, so we get to meet old friends too.

The story is slow and smooth and takes time to wind up to the big final crescendo, but it is enjoyable in its meandering. The band rock stars meets paranormal is an interesting idea, and probably more could have been made of that. What we did get was good.

Overall I enjoyed the story and will ensure that I look out for future tales from Ms. Rivers.

The Last Good Knight by Tiffany Reisz Blog Tour

The Last Good Knight:

An Original Sinners novella told in five parts

Part I: Scars and Stripes

It's lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She's happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they're all in danger….

Ahh...to read about Nora, it’s always a treat!
She is one of my favorite characters EVER written. She's fun, quirky, snarky, sarcastic, and sexy. This was a very quick, sexy read. It's a glimpse, one night, of Nora's life as a Domme, except, this isn't a scheduled session & Lance isn't a normal customer ;)
"I like the way you kink" (my feelings exactly)!
The timeline of this short story is a couple years after Nora decides she doesn't want commitment - but Lance is sinfully sexy and controlled, the perfect submissive.
And that is all I'll say about that!
This DOES end on a significant cliff-hanger, so be prepared to have the 2nd installment on hand.

Diana – ☆☆☆☆
4 Whip Me Stars!!!

More Nora, Yes Please!!
There's no doubt that I'm a huge fan of Tiffany Reisz, The Original Sinners is by far one of my favorite series.
When I got the chance to read and review this series, I was ecstatic.

"I'm Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you"

This story takes place three years before The Siren.
Nora is one of the most uniquely written characters I've ever read. You never know what's going to come out of her mouth.
Nora is the Mistress to beat all Mistresses.

Who walks into The 8th Circle? A submissive Ex-Navy Seal, Lance. Nora sets her sights. Did she just meet her sub for the night? Oh boy, he definitely aims to please. I had almost forgot how naughty Nora plays, I sat smiling like an idiot reading the scene. A knock on the door stops their play time. The one and only SOREN, they've got trouble in hell.
I know this is series of very short stories, but right when the good stuff was about to happen, The End! I'm so glad I have the rest of the series, or I would choke or jump off a cliff.

I'm not sure if reading The Original Sinners first is recommended, YET. I'll come back to this review when I'm finished with all five parts. But I'm sure most Tiffany Reisz virgins would probably need to read The Original Sinners in order to fully comprehend the complexity of each character.

Johanna – ☆☆☆☆☆
I loved it....well written and so totally Nora. The story stays well within its genre, lots of BDSM and scenes that happen between a submissive/dominant. I really liked Lance... And the fact it affected Soren. Nora and Soren deserve to be together so it was nice to see this side of when things weren't so good between them. I give this my highest rating....I loved it... Five stars.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
What a joy to be back in the dungeon with Nora. As ever a heart-stoppingly erotic read. Thank goodness there is more to come. Has Nora met her match?

Part II: Sore Spots

With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora's bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he's on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL's noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she's trying to forget….

Part 2 of the serial Novella series continues where Part 1 left off...
We're stuck in limbo trying to piece together a mystery - but all of our favorite characters make a cameo!
Not much action occurs, more build-up, and a touch of suspense.
Lance, whom we meet in part 1, is re-introduced as Nora's bodyguard (lol) - this part follows Nora through her typical Saturday as Domme.
Entertaining, no sex, a touch of mystery, and the ending...oh, the ending!
BRING ON PART 3!!!
Again, the cliff-hanger is a B*TCH~

Diana – ☆☆☆☆
3.5 STARS!!

This is the second installment of the five part series. I wanted more, we get a taste, more like a tease then it's over. Not much happened in this part, we did get some insight into Lance. He seems like a gentleman with a side of kink.
This read like a day in the life of Nora, we didn't get any answers or clues to who the attacker is. Kingsley has everyone on lock down, hiring a body guard for Nora.

Can Nora keep her hands to herself and not break the rules with her body guard??

Johanna – ☆☆☆☆☆
This was an in depth look into Lance who apparently is just one of the good guys. Well written and lovely. The second part of a series, and we got an in depth look at some of Nora's clients and their kinks which was great. I liked the foot fetish, it made me laugh. So without spoiling it for anyone, this author never steps out of genre, and overall entertainment is five stars....loved it.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
Just as Nora is unexpectedly dreaming of long term, a turn of events kills the opportunity dead ... At least for now. So where does she go for relief?

My feelings were up and down, and all over the place as Nora tells us just what she is thinking, and not thinking!

Part III: The Games Destiny Plays

Shocked to see Nora's bruises, Lance is furious that she put herself in danger and demands to know where she got them. As Nora confesses her true nature, she's equally shocked to learn that Lance has some secrets of his own, drawing them together despite Kingsley's orders….

Part 3 of the (5) Novella series is HOT!!
Mr. Bodyguard proves himself as a knight in shining armor, while Nora is being warned against such claims. Hmm...what would you do?
This part has it ALL: action, MORE suspense, HOT sexy scenes, and even a bit of endearing love.
I just can't stop reading these!!

Diana – ☆☆☆☆☆
4.5 Scorching Hot STARS!!!

Holy H*LL this one is my favorite so far. We still don't get any answers about the attacker, and I don't have a clue as to where these stories are taking me. But I really don't care, I love this kinky world Tiffany Reisz has made, and I could read about these characters every day.
Lance is working his way into Nora's kinky life, she seems truly enamored with him, believe me I agree. Lance is such a sweetheart. I’ve got a feeling Nora is going to help Lance out, I can't say much because I don't want to spoil.

Soren. SOREN. Soren. I love you, my favorite sadist.

"Watch your language, Eleanor. You’re never too old for me to turn you over my knee."
"Spank me all you want, just f*ck me first. Please."

Johanna – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is so much fun, to read these small installments and get sooooo teased. Again a well written teaser, that made me want to be a voyeur. Nora always seems like so much fun, who wouldn't want to be her. She just makes sense, and she falls so perfectly for her men. I am almost afraid at how this ends, because this takes place before Wesley and Lance isn't in the picture then....so I'm nervous. He is such a good submissive, overall entertainment is five stars.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
I need to go and sit in an ice bath - this is just getting hotter by the episode - phwoar! Nora is such a fabulous character who just says it how it is - it is so refreshing to read, and so erotic in this context. More, I need more!

Part IV: Fit to Be Tied

With her feelings for Lance warring with her recent encounter with Søren, Nora returns to Lance's bed and finds herself toying with the idea of…toying with him on a permanent basis. But after she gets a glimpse into his personal angst, Nora realizes she has the power to rescue this white knight….

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE Tiffany Reisz's writing??
The 4th installment of the serial novella series is angsty, sexy, and FUN!
Finally, we have a bit of closure...and upon receiving that, we get a LOT of fun with Lance.
Lance is humanized in this episode, and my heart hurts for him, along with my woman-bits getting a bit tingly ;)
I don't want to summarize the story, so I will say that we do get some relief to the constant build-up we've experienced throughout the series.
As can be expected from Ms.Reisz - I need to read the 5th installment (she certainly knows how to leave a girl hanging)!!

Diana – ☆☆☆☆
4 STARS!!

Ouch this one hurt, in more ways than one! Nothing is ever easy in Nora's world. I still don't know why she runs from her destiny... It burns me every time she turns Soren down. I hate it, however I do get it.
My predictions were right. Nora is definitely going to help Lance. But what's going to happen in the future with Lance and Nora?? Can Nora settle in a relationship? Not the Nora I know.

The attacker is finally caught. I do not think this will be the end, something isn't sitting right with me. I could be completely wrong but I have a bad feeling.

Side note: I've missed these characters. I could never get enough. Give me more Kingsley.

Johanna – ☆☆☆☆☆
I cannot wait for The Saint.....these teasers with Soren in it are killing me. Everything I usually write for reviews usually goes out the window when I write one for my favorite authors. I guess I am just so passionate when it comes to what they have written and this is an amazing book so far. I loved it....Overall entertainment....five stars.

Suddenly discovering she is free to indulge, Nora can't resist - and we get to be voyeurs ... Scorching hot as always and yet such tenderness thrown in - loving these episodes so very, very much - just one more to go though, which is a downer; but then July brings the promise of a whole new story. Phew!

Part V: The Last Good Night

Now that the perpetrator has been apprehended, Nora sadly acknowledges she doesn't need a bodyguard anymore. She adores Lance and wants to keep him but is faced with a dilemma - "if she uses her connections to help Lance, she'll have to give him up forever…

The final chapter in the series is semi-sweet. All ends are tied, some good and some bad, and very emotional.
Again, we have some SUPER hot sexy scenes along-side some real-life drama (that, sadly, occurs WAY too often).
Honestly, this was the perfect way to wrap up the series - and it goes to show that Knights in Shining Armor do exist.

Diana – ☆☆☆☆
4.5 Destiny STARS!!

I knew it was coming but I still wasn't prepared. All good things must come to an end. Bittersweet conclusion.
Nora succeeded in helping Lance... But Lance's destiny didn't include Nora. So sad. If you've read The Original Sinners then you know Nora's story. She belongs to one person.

"A wise man once told me that destiny doesn't always play matchmaker..."

This set of short stories is a good filler until The Saint. You definitely have to read these. I always want more of Nora, Soren, and definitely my Kingsley!!

Johanna – ☆☆☆☆☆
Loved it, frankly I just believe I'm going to get teased to death before I get The Saint in my hands. I loved it.
This is a well written novella by one of my favorite authors. If you have already read what she has written then this is just an extension of that. If you haven't read what she has written then this is a pleasant bunch of scenes on the BDSM scene. The characters are from The Sinner series, and nothing disappoints in this novella. Without spoilers this is just what I need to get through until The Saint is released.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
Once again, an amazingly moving ending to an Original Sinners story. In a sheaf full of pages there is more emotion than most authors can manage in a lifetime of writing. I just love the way that Ms. Reisz gives women strength, power and humanity in a single sentence. Genius!

Tiffany Reisz lives with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

If she couldn’t write, she would die.
