On the Same Page by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams

When a Dom invites a shy bookstore owner to live out his fantasies, more than one life will be transformed.

Words are Heath Snow’s life. He can’t remember a time when he didn’t have his nose buried in a book. He couldn’t make a living as a writer, so he did the next best thing—he bought a bookstore. But when he’s not selling books, he’s living vicariously through the characters he encounters. Real men can’t hold a candle to the hot men in his favorite genre.

The Pride display in the bookstore window may be what captured Xavier James’s attention, but the man enthusing about books interests him more. The BDSM book lying next to the cash register is a pleasant surprise, and when he draws attention to it, Heath’s flushed cheeks and bright eyes pique Xavier’s curiosity even further.

Xavier is about to learn that some things are more important than work, and Heath is about to step out of his comfort zone, into a place where fantasy and real life coexist.

Sarah☆☆☆☆
This is a proper fantasy read. It’s the story of Heath, a shy bookstore owner who is initiated into the world of BDSM by established dom, Xavier. Like the others in the series, this is a fabulously steamy read – with a little heart.

I really like that Xavier and Heath’s role plays explore an uncommon kink. I love the fun they both have with their period roles and I also enjoyed the way they slowly started to build a relationship beyond the bedroom. There’s still enough traditional kink and steamy sex to push this well into erotica territory, but I like that it’s a little bit different than I expected.

Set in London’s Soho, readers get a good dose of bookstore envy and property porn to accompany the kink. Nothing about Heath or Xavier’s lives are terribly realistic but I found it easy to drool over their homes, their jobs, and their kink club. I didn’t love the property development theme that takes over the end of the book (and I didn’t quite understand it either). However, I really enjoy KC Well’s writing and I kinda love Heath as an unsuspecting kink initiate. I also liked getting to catch up with other characters from previous books.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the fourth book in the series, and yet I think it could be read as a standalone, and then you may decide to step deeper into the world of Secrets and meet up with some of the characters you meet here.

I really liked Heath and his ordered world. In fact, his life sounded pretty perfect... living above his very own bookshop and making enough to live on, but undoubtedly Xavier brings a whole new level of colour to his life. Thanks to Xavier introducing him to Secrets, Heath also makes some new friends. Watching Heath discover his true nature was very enjoyable, and for anyone who enjoys historical romances, probably made them chuckle at the scenes.

Xavier is a slightly strange character in my opinion. He is clearly working really hard, and doing quite well, but when we get to see him at work, he is unusually cowed and subservient to Church. He also doesn't deal well with having to deal with a serious conflict of interest. By the end I was convinced that he wanted only the best, but his method of reaching that point was rather painful!

An interesting addition to the series, and I loved having a lead character who owned a bookshop.

Angie☆☆☆☆
I enjoyed this book. I love the whole shy guy thing. While we didn’t see much of Secrets this time, we did get to catch up with a few of the characters from previous books. I liked Heath and Xavier; they weren’t your typical couple with your typical kink. They worked for me though. There was plenty of steamy sexy time and I enjoyed watching the relationship between Heath and Xavier grow. Good addition to the series.

K.C. Wells

I've always written, right from an early age. I was always writing stories as a child, and as I grew up, I had the idea of writing a novel, like so many people do. Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter... K.C. now writes full time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it... it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

PARKER WILLIAMS began to write as a teen, but never showed his work to anyone. As he grew older, he drifted away from writing, but his love of the written word moved him to reading. A chance encounter with an author changed the course of his life as she encouraged him to never give up on a dream. With the help of some amazing friends, he rediscovered the joy of writing, thanks to a community of writers who have become his family.

Threepeat by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams

Can two Doms open their hearts again for a young man desperately in need of their help?

Two years ago, Aaron Greene and Sam Thompson were devastated when their submissive broke the contract that bound the three of them together. They still wonder what happened and whether they can find a way to move forward. When Aaron finds a sick young man by the curbside, his protective instincts kick in, and after consulting Sam, he takes Tim home.

After being thrown out of his home, Tim Waterman finds himself on the street, doing whatever he needs to survive. Until a bear of a Good Samaritan scoops him up and saves him. Then one bear becomes two, and a chance discovery gets him thinking about what might be, if he’s bold enough to make a move.

So what happens when Aaron and Sam wake up one morning to find Tim naked in their bed? Will they get a new chance at life, or will history Threepeat itself?

I have read all of the previous books in this series, but this can be read as a standalone. However, I have enjoyed them all and do recommend them.

This is Aaron and Sam's story. They had a sub who they were truly in love with, but when Seb, their sub, decided to break the contract and leave, neither Aaron or Sam knew what to do with themselves. For a while, they continued to exist. More recently, Sam has been trying to get Aaron more engaged in the outside world, beyond work. At a loss of how to truly move forward, neither has been willing to go to the club or interact with their friends from there either.

When Aaron comes across Tim, who is so weak and sick, he's falling down in the street, Aaron knows that he has to help. Sam and Aaron bring Tim into their home and nurse him back to health. Along the way, Tim becomes more than their charge – he becomes part of their relationship.

It's a slow burn in their relationship and watching all three of them interact, you can see how much they truly care for each other. There are some hot scenes and a lot of tender moments. Tim helps both Sam and Aaron see their relationship in a new light too.

When Seb comes back, all three of them will have to decide what happens next.

I wish that Tim's family had been more resolved. It felt left out after it was such a huge part of the beginning of the story. I loved how the relationship developed and changed. The secondary characters are just as funny and sweet as they had been in previous books too. I love these characters and how supportive they all are of each other. I truly enjoyed this book and all of the hard choices that came with it.

This is a BDSM romance that only just manages to skate around some of my personal triggers. I liked the characters and the sex is hot – but readers who enjoy full power exchange relationships will enjoy the narrative behind this D/s focused story much more than I did.

When Aaron brings home a very ill street kid, he and Sam are surprised to discover how much they get out of caring for the young man. And as much as Tim fills a void in their life, Sam and Aaron provide Tim with the comfort and security he desperately needs. I like the way the three men fit together, and I like the slow burn heat as all three fumble towards the relationship they need from each other. The start of this book is lower heat than many I’ve read by these authors but there are some wonderfully kinky scenes later in the story.

Personally, there were too many times I was uncomfortable with the power imbalance in the relationship between Aaron, Sam, and Tim. When Aaron and Sam take Tim in, he is homeless, bruised, and very ill. While Aaron and Sam are rich, successful middle-aged men, Tim is still a teenager. And he reads as very, very young – especially in the first half of the book. Consent in this book feels a little bit blurry and I was never sure how much Tim’s desire to be Sam and Aaron’s slave is tied to the circumstances that brought him to their home in the first place.

Again, my reaction is pretty personal. I admit to being a fair-weather BDSM reader and I’m not sure I’ve ever fully understood the attraction of total power exchange relationships. I liked all three of these characters and I enjoyed the sex in this story.

Angie☆☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series. While you don't have to read the previous books, it would help you understand and love some of the characters that show up in this book from previous ones. This book was a great read for me. Not a ton of angst but just a bit. There was love, compassion, friendship, and family in this book. There are trigger warnings, so please read those. Tim has a tough go of things and is at rock bottom when he meets Aaron and Sam. I'm not going to summarize the blurb because I'm sure you already read it. Just know this book pulls at your heart strings. Aaron and Sam are so good with Tim. Tim is amazing despite his horrible family. Friends become the chosen family and some families really do love unconditionally. I was glad to see characters from previous books. I love Maggie and hope to see her in future books again. Good love story.

Rob is kind of a tortured soul in this story. He carried an immense amount of guilt and knows that he has wronged his brother from the previous story. Rob is trying to reconcile who he is with what he knows and who he believes he wants to be.

Vic is looking for something, but he's not sure what or whom he's looking for. I liked his no nonsense attitude towards Rob, despite the attraction. He knew that Rob needed someone to take him in hand and did just that.

What I think fell short for me was all of the dialogue and story surrounding Rob and his guilt. It felt very whiny to me and rather than focus on moving forward, he worried a lot about what had been, what he did, and how his family life was. I wanted more of a romance story and instead, it felt like Vic was a glorified babysitter.

When Vic and Rob were together, just the two of them, you could see glimpses of Rob and who he was trying to become, which was a nice change. I also liked how Rob and his brother interacted in the story. It felt fairly genuine and realistic.

Overall, this was just an okay story for me. I enjoyed book one much more.

Veronica☆☆☆☆
For those of us that have read the Collars & Cuffs series, you may remember Rob as Alex's not so nice brother. For everyone else, don't worry if you haven't because An Unlocked Mind is a standalone and the authors provide all the background information you need.

When we first meet Rob, he is working at a supermarket and has a run in with a customer. I got really mad on Rob's behalf reading this scene. I thought Rob was being treated unfairly. But spending a little time with Rob and his first trip to the BSDM club, Secrets, reveals his ugly side. I started to realise he is not a very likeable guy, and his behaviour when he runs into Dom Vic in the club is downright embarrassing. Later Vic offers Rob a lift to the station and this one kind act leads to them becoming friends.

While Vic is crucial to this story and an amazing man, for me it was all about Rob and watching him turn his life around. He is miserable, angry, full of shame, and just not a very nice person. With some introspection and guidance from Vic, he slowly starts to make changes to his life. I loved that it isn't easy for Rob to make changes and he stumbles along the way. Ultimately, it takes courage to change and I think it’s what had me loving Rob in the end. I like to think that people can change for the better and improve themselves, so I loved watching Rob's transformation.

This is a wonderful love story too, which takes time to develop. Vic is so wise, strong, and supportive of Rob, I can see how easy it would be fall in love with him.

An Unlocked Mind is a beautiful story and I absolutely loved it.

Angie☆☆☆☆
I have to be honest, I almost stopped reading this book. The beginning was so wordy and not much dialogue, that I just wasn't connecting with the characters or story. I stuck with it, and in the end, really enjoyed the book after about 35% in. Vic was so nice to Rob and Rob was sooo down on himself that I just wanted to shake some sense into him. The chemistry between the two was good, not off the charts, but still good. I love how Rob finally got his head out of his butt and went after what he wanted. There wasn't a lot of BDSM in this book even though Vic made it a point to tell Rob several times that he was into the lifestyle and couldn't give it up. Overall, a good story and addition to the series. I can't wait to see who is in the next book.

Before You Break by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams

Six years ago Ellis walked into his first briefing as the newest member of London’s Specialist Firearms unit. He was partnered with Wayne and they became fast friends. When Wayne begins to notice changes—Ellis’s erratic temper, the effects of sleep deprivation—he knows he has to act before Ellis reaches his breaking point. He invites Ellis to the opening of the new BDSM club, Secrets, where Wayne has a membership. His purpose? He wants Ellis to glimpse the lifestyle before Wayne approaches him with a proposition. He wants to take Ellis in hand, to control his life because he wants his friend back, and he figures this is the only way to do it.

There are a few issues, however. Ellis is straight. Stubborn. And sexy. Wayne knows he has to put his own feelings aside to be what Ellis needs. What surprises the hell out of him is finding out what Ellis actually requires.

Wayne and Ellis have been partners for a while. They work in an elite group of police and run towards the danger that is out there in the world. However, when things start to become more stressful and Wayne notices that Ellis is not coping well, Wayne devises a plan to help Ellis see that perhaps they would be better if they were more than work partners.

Ellis has been running his whole life. He has family that was abusive, family that rely on him too much, and he's trying to do his physically and emotionally taxing job – he's burning the wick at both ends and unable to keep up.

Wayne is a dom and wants to show Ellis how giving his submission to Wayne could free his mind and body in ways that would help Ellis be better at his job and in all other aspects of his life. Despite Ellis' initial reservations, he befriends another sub at the club (a new club in town), and learns that he is indeed a sub. That it doesn't mean that he's weak, and that Wayne and he were meant to be.

When the unthinkable happens, will Ellis trust Wayne enough to know what he needs and how to provide him with it? Does Wayne trust in their relationship enough to fight for Ellis? I loved how this story developed because you knew so much about each character. Their chemistry was more "manly" than romantic, but they connected well nonetheless. I can't wait to see what this series brings!

Angie☆☆☆☆☆
Man, I know I won't be able to do this book justice with my review. I just loved it though. I couldn't put it down. If you are a fan of the Collars & Cuffs series you will love this book. Ellis and Wayne are partners at work and best friends. Wayne has been in love with Ellis for the entire time. Ellis, of course, doesn't know this or the fact that Wayne is a dom. When things start to go downhill with Ellis at work, Wayne steps in. These two have a rocky road ahead of them but Wayne isn't giving up and Ellis is trying his hardest not to give in on stuff, even though secretly he wants to. This book gave me the feels – I laughed, I cried, and I wanted to slap a few people. The reader even gets to see some characters from the Collars & Cuffs series too, which is awesome. Great read and I can't wait for the next installment.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
Although this is a new series, we do get to meet some good friends from Collars & Cuffs – which is a great bonus!

The leads in this book are both in a very high intensity, high risk role in the police force. That career choice and the reality of waiting for something terrible to happen, is brilliantly written. The dynamics between the team, and Wayne and Ellis in particular, give us an insight into just how close they are. That Wayne has spent six years wanting Ellis, but only ever been a loyal friend gives us an idea of just how much he cares.

Now that he has decided that he needs to step up, Ellis gets the full force of his support and his dominance – requiring him to reveal some of his tragically unhappy past. The abuse he suffered was very odd, but sadly not impossible to imagine. People do some terrible things to their children, that is for sure. As Ellis finds the strength to let go and give Wayne control, we see the start of a deep, and hopefully fulfilling relationship for them both. The journey into D/s and more is very satisfying. Obviously, things are not always smooth sailing, but you need to read it to find out for yourself.

I look forward to seeing who will be the focus of future releases in this series. And hope that we get to catch up with this lovely couple.

PS. Just a couple of comments about the language/context – I am a Brit, so reading the term truck grated, and the talk of building their own house seemed highly unlikely for two normal earning guys living in London. There just isn't the land available.

The Secrets Series by Lace Daltyn Blog Tour

The world is full of secrets.

Drea Fortier, a reclusive philanthropist whose tortured past influences her belief that there can be no happily ever after for her, reaches out to help others in the hope she can transform their pain and give them hope for the future. Drea’s own story, along with that of her assistant, Michael Smith, is slowly revealed throughout the Secrets series.

Masquerade

Frigid bitch. The words seep into Beth Ritmour's soul, no matter how hard she tries to deny them. A year after her divorce, they still haunt her. So when a mysterious benefactor offers a solution to her problem, Beth takes a vacation from her job as a dental hygienist and follows a cryptic note to Chicago, where she’s soon ensconced as a waitress at Club Masquerade. Although how she’s going to prove she’s not frigid is hard to figure out when the boss makes it very clear that sex, or any precursors to sex, with patrons or employees is strictly taboo. It’s not an easy rule to follow, especially when one deliciously hot bartender keeps very, very close tabs on her.

Beth grasped the pole with both hands and arched her back. When she did, hair she'd loosened from its clip fell almost to the floor. Her eyes remained closed, but with her head bent back, it showed off the column of her neck and...

Anthony went rock hard as he watched breasts he'd had wet dreams about almost spill out of her costume. He heard the collective gasp of the men as she swayed back and forth. Still keeping time with the slow, sensual beat of the music, Beth rose to meet the pole, slid to a squat, and stretched one leg behind her. With the stage elevated and that tiny uniform she wore, there wasn't much left to the imagination. Half her ass was bare for the whole place to see. A glance around the room proved that she'd captured the attention of the entire place.

She stood and pushed her ass out toward the audience. Jesus! Was that a scrap of red he saw? Was she really giving them a view of her panties? Anthony wanted to kill the fucking spotlight that showcased Beth.

He could see the satisfaction all over her face, in the slight upturn of her lips, and in the lack of tension. It looked like she was getting off on this.

Beth arched back, slid her leg in a semi-circle, and then raised it up until it spanned the pole. Holy shit. Where had she learned a trick like that? She leaned back and pushed one leg up until she was damn near doing vertical splits.

Anthony's cock twitched as his jaw hit the floor. It took a limber woman to pull something like that off. Limber and strong. He wanted those legs wrapped around him, clinging to him, loving him.

As Beth wrapped the pole with her leg and leaned back again, showcasing tits still on the edge of full disclosure, a man in front of Anthony stood and moved toward Beth.

Anthony sprinted to catch up to the guy, who was now trying to climb onto the stage. He grabbed the man's shoulder but was brushed off. So Anthony grabbed hold again. The guy whirled on him, fist first, and managed to connect with Anthony's jaw. The force spun him around.

With Beth at risk, Anthony rebounded lightning fast. He grabbed the guy's shirt from the back, yanked him off the stage, and plowed his fist into the guy's gut. The man went down just as the bouncer showed up, but Anthony no longer cared. He jumped onto the stage, grabbed Beth, threw her over his shoulder, and left to the catcalls of everyone in the place.

This is the first in a series of five stories, with an overall theme that is tied up in book 5 – I know because I have just devoured them all! They are fun, sexy and ultimately very satisfying. "I wish I were there to run my hands through your hair," she said.

"I wish you were, too."

"If I were, I'd run my hands through a lot more than just your hair." Jenna turned the vibrator back on, wondering if he could hear it through the phone.

He chuckled. "You would, huh?"

Jenna swallowed her lack of guts and lowered her voice. "Oh, yes. I'd be all over that fine body of yours."

His quick intake of air sent a thrill through her, tightening her nipples. They were on the edge of something they'd never done before. She touched the vibrator to her already aching tip, imagining it was Josh's lips on her, sucking her in, pebbling her to the point of exquisite pain.

"Where?"

"Hmmm?"

"Where would you touch me?"

She smiled. "Well, I'd start by kissing those talented lips of yours, tasting the coffee on your breath.

"Beer."

"Excuse me?"

"Beer on my breath. Not coffee. Not tonight."

"Then I'd make you go brush your teeth."

Josh chuckled.

"Now don't interrupt. I'd trail my lips along your neck, while my finger circled those sensitive nipples of yours."

The vibrator moved to her other breast as Jenna heard what she swore was a zipper on the other end of the line.

"And then?"

"My lips would make sweet love to your chest."

"Where would your hands be?"

"Wandering some of their favorite territory." The vibrator trailed along Jenna's stomach, sending thrill-shocks through her body. She could feel the dampness growing between her legs. And she swore she could smell Josh's attraction through the phone. She loved the smell of him, the Chanel cologne he wore that mixed with his clean scent.

"I'd work my way lower," she said. "Follow that trail of hair down."

Josh grunted.

Jenna grinned and let the vibrator toy with the edge of her pubic hair. "I wouldn't touch you there. Not yet. I'd make you want me like never before, wander all over and around, down your legs, letting my lips follow along."

The vibrator hummed against her thigh.

"Then, before you had time to realize what I was doing, I'd swallow you to the base of that impressive cock of yours."

A crashing noise stopped her. "What was that?"

"Just a lamp. No worries. You were saying?"

Laughing, Jenna touched her pussy with the vibrator and gasped.

"What are you doing," Josh asked, his voice husky.

"Playing with a vibrator."

Josh was quiet so long Jenna thought she'd lost the moment with her honesty.

"And where are you touching yourself?"

When he spoke, relief flooded her. "Where I want you to touch me. I'm pressing in and out and imagining I'm touching you at the same time, my mouth going up and down on your hard, silky cock. I'm sucking hard, pushing hard."

"Vibrating hard," he said.

"And thinking of you," they said in unison.

Jenna has what can only be described as a Motherzilla, and she is far too nice to stand up for herself. Her fiancé is frustrated by this and asks for help. Amazingly things do turn out ok, but he definitely took a risk. A lovely sweet, and yet very sexy story with some wonderfully funny moments too.

Candlelight sheltered the scene as panting emanated from the bed, allowing pleasure while, at the same time, cloaking flaws. Dylan pinned her arms to the bed as he thrust deep, throbbing with a near unquenchable need for the woman he loved. Her luminous eyes grew heavy-lidded as she gave herself over to the orgasm he could see building.

Melinda arched, reaching out to him, begging him with her breasts for more. It was a heady power she gave him and he gladly satisfied her craving for his touch. Bending lower, he pulled a tight, needy nipple into his mouth.

These unguarded moments, when Mel allowed her trust in him and her need for him to show, increased his own passion and his desire for her.

She moaned a soft, guttural crescendo. The sound of her body doing what her mind couldn't-letting him love her. His cock, already rock hard, throbbed to the quickening beat of his heart, and her heart, as he thrust in and out. Slow, then faster, until they crashed over the top. Even then, he moved within her.

She stayed with him as they rode the wave down, then as it built again. He hardened without ever pulling out and drove into her, finding that sweet spot that always made her...

Scream.

"Oh, my God. I'm coming again!"

Dylan reached between them, pinching her clit just as her orgasm hit. Mel came off the bed, driving him deeper in the process until he joined her in the stars. Explosions, streams of glittering light falling through the sky, the whole fucking Fourth of July pulsed through him as he poured his seed into her. Gauging by the tight hold she had on his ass, she felt the same.

"Holy shit," she said collapsing into his bed.

He moved beside her and Melinda settled into his side as he wrapped an arm around her. "You've got that right. Woman, you really know how to push my buttons. God, I love you."

Just like that, the moment was broken. Dylan sensed the immediate tension, felt it in the tightening of her shoulders. Melinda bunched the sheet tight, pulling it with her as she stood.

"I should go."

Even though Melinda works hard to look after herself, she does not recognise that she is the beautiful woman that her (not) boyfriend says she is. When she is laid off and faces losing her apartment, she loses even more self-confidence, but Dylan remains constant, and maybe is just what he says he is after all. I loved this older woman, younger man story, which raises many genuinely difficult issues in a sensitive and entertaining way. Their chemistry is great, as is the outcome.

"I'll show you just how talented if you let me."

He chuckled. "Yes, you will, darling. But not right now." He spanked her again and she barely twitched this time, except for the extra dampness from her core. "Ass in the air."

"Huh?" She'd been...requested to do doggie style, but this? This position was way too submissive. It was too easy to get hurt... She'd promised herself, after that last time, never again. Shaking her head, she struggled to turn over.

Cole held her gently in place. "Trust me, babe. I promise. I won't hurt you."

Trust. He'd mimicked her thoughts, and now put them to the test. Did she trust Cole? Could she? Kate had seen the worst life had to offer. Never again, she'd said. Never again.

He didn't press her. Instead, he continued the gentle massage. Then dipped but didn't drive his fingers home. Easy, gentle, and maddening.

Kate's hips lifted of their own volition. She wanted this. Wanted to see where it would go. Wanted to prove her trust.

Cole helped her position herself, then he lay behind her.

"What?"

"I'm going to eat you until you sing to me," he whispered into her cunt.

"Eat me? But..."

Cole paused. "But what?"

How could she say this? Tell him without giving away her past. "I, umm..."

"Tell me, Kate." He never raised his voice, yet she knew it was a command. One that she would obey...to a point.

"No one has ever...I mean, I've never..." Oh, fuck, this was hard.

"Never-" he prompted her.

Kate took a deep breath and blurted it out. "No one has ever, um, gone down on me." She buried her head in the pillow he'd provided, quite certain she was a flaming shade of red.

"Ever?"

She shook her head vehemently.

"But you've..."

Kate nodded. "Yep. Done that deed." A lot and none of it fun. Kate had wondered what a man's tongue would feel like. Dreamed of it and, hell, masturbated to the idea. But she had no experience to draw on. Excitement threaded through her at the possibility that finally, she'd know...

"That changes things," Cole said. "Sit up." The sting of his words hurt worse than any of the slaps to her ass. Dejection killed the buzz of arousal flowing through her, and Kate missed it. She knew so little of what it felt like to be loved. No. Correction. Made love to. Apparently, her lack of experience was a deal-killer for Cole.

"Lay on your back."

"Wh-what?"

"I said, lay on your back."

"But, I thought..."

He waited her out, steadily watching her.

"I thought we were, you know, done."

"Because you've never experienced someone truly worshipping your body?"

"Well, you stopped," Kate said, laying down.

Cole settled again between her legs, running a hand up to her breast to tweak first one nipple, then the other. "Just so you know, I don't play games. I do, however, consider it a privilege to be your first in this." He blew on her cunt, and Kate sighed as the warmth of his breath spread through her.

"You've switched positions because you're going to enjoy this." He grinned up at her. "A lot."

Kate's lips turned up, joining his.

"And I want to see you come in one big, glorious orgasm. Maybe two or three. In fact, definitely more than one. All from-" He tapped his tongue. "This marvelous appendage."

This is the saddest story to date, and clearly has an effect on Drea that needs exploring. Kate, a teacher in a quiet town is scared that someone has found out her secret. Cole, a security guy appears at school and feels sure he needs to protect her. It turns out that is entirely necessary. As both their pasts affect their feelings and their safety hangs in the balance, Drea's team have to pull out all the stops to resolve the nightmare. Engaging and dramatic, this was a really good storyline and great outcome.

"Someone trained you how to please a man."

The shadow of her eyes underneath the netting grew larger.

"I know you won't talk about it. Yet. But one of these days, you'll tell me the story of who screwed your past and present up so bad."

She shook her head so hard the hat almost flew off. Righting it, she turned her head away. "No, I won't."

He tipped her chin toward him. "Yes, Drea. You will. Know this, though. I will only wait so long." He gentled his voice. "Certain things, I can surmise on my own. You told me you were abducted." He reached for her arm and ran his fingers along the silk until he held her hand, stifling the urge to close his eyes and get lost in the feel and scent of her.

"I know you were tortured. Maybe by one person, maybe by more." He stroked her hand as he held it and was gratified when she didn't pull away. Instead, her head tipped in such a way he could tell she was watching his hand on hers. He pulled it to his chest and laid it across his heart, keeping her hand safe there with his.

"Feel the beat of my heart. It's racing with only one focus...you. I won't wait forever, but I can manage a while longer. I want to fill all the holes your pain has drilled into you with new memories. I want to show you how satisfying a relationship can be."

Her breathing had slowed, matching his. Her fingers moved slightly on his chest and he felt the touch in his soul. And his throbbing penis.

"Lord, woman. It takes nothing but a small movement from you to make me want to strip you and make love to you until you scream my name."

The shake of her head was much slower and smaller this time. "That won't ever happen, Michael." Her voice was almost a whisper.

"Yes," he said. "It will. I want to pull the veil away from your face and kiss you until you are moaning and wet for me."

Drea sighed.

"I want to undo the buttons on that silk blouse one at a time, kissing my way along your creamy skin as I do. To see if your bra is as sexy as I've imagined."

She stood mesmerized and Michael was way beyond being able to stop.

"Your breasts will fit perfectly in my palms, Drea. Rosy tips will beckon to me and I won't deny them. I'll pull them into my mouth and taste their sweetness until they are tight nubs of need filling you with molten desire."

He almost groaned, knowing he could shoot his load just by having this conversation. "I think I could bring you to a climax just doing that."

He couldn't hear her breathing.

"I know I could. But I won't stop there."

She began to breathe again.

"I'll unzip your slacks and peel them down your body, leaving you only in-" He cocked his head, but kept his hand moving softly along hers, still settled on his chest. "I'm guessing a thong. I'd run my hands over an ass I've wanted to fondle since the first day I walked into your life. Sight unseen, too. That damn cloak of yours, as it turns out, is hiding a fuck-me-now body." He blew out a breath, then pulled himself back into the scene.

"I'd like to see some pink on those ass cheeks. Then, I'd pull the thong down, bare your wet cunt to me. I'll finally be able to touch you. To make you climax, screaming my name. To climax with your fragrance, your name, on my lips."

Drea's breathing had become as erratic as his.

"What if I don't want to go that far?" Drea whispered.

"You won't have a choice. Your hands will be restrained."

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the final in the series of five stories – each book has started and ended with Drea and Michael, but this one went straight to the request form – I felt for a moment like I'd been cheated, then I realised that it was Michael who filled out the form ... Finally we get the underlying story and resolve the tension between these two characters who have been slowly emerging from the shadows in previous books.

This was a really brilliant conclusion to the series and made sense of her actions, as well as being excellent in its own right. The buildup between them had been so intense that it was inevitable that there would be sparks! Very satisfying and engaging series of books, I would recommend them to you. Each one would be perfect if time were short, as you get a proper, well told story. And the series as a whole is most enjoyable.

After years of searching, Lace settled down with a man whose first words to her were "Save me a dance." That's all it took. Four little words and she was a goner. Twenty years later, she still remembers that first kiss, standing beside his yellow Ford Mustang cool car. (Yes, it was yellow. "Hey," Lace says. "It was cool at the time.") And it still is in her mind and in her heart. That kiss and the future love it represented is the reason she enjoys stories filled with romance and emotion.

And dancing. Always dancing.
