All in With Him is the third installment in the Men of Summer series. I recommend reading them in the order in which the author intended. The buildup throughout this series is amazing.

Grant and Declan have finally worked through what has kept them apart, they are living together in the same city and playing ball for their respective teams. But doubt is still creeping into Grant's thoughts. It's too perfect, they are working too well, and Grant is still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I loved watching them work together and making what they have go the distance. AND THE EPILOGUE!!! I was so invested in these characters. Lauren Blakely wrote an amazing sports read. It is definitely a favorite and I highly recommend!


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in this really delicious series – and I highly recommend that you read them in order, as it is very much an ongoing story. I am assuming that you are up to date in my review.

After the last book, when, finally, Grant and Declan are in the same city and have no conflict of being teammates... five years (!!) after they first fell in love but parted. They have both made their own lives, but never really forgotten that they were each other's 'one that got away.'

Of course things are not all smooth sailing, but this is the reward book for the faithful reader. It is very engaging watching them smooth out the differences between them. The compromises each is prepared to make, the self-learning that Dec has gained thanks to being in therapy. I loved every bit of it.

A very satisfying trilogy – which I have added to my must-reread-all-in-one-go list. Thank you, Lauren Blakely, for a passionate, intense, and very enjoyable read.


Veronica – ☆☆☆☆
Too often authors give us a happy ending for a couple but we don’t see what happens next. All in With Him gives us the story of Declan and Grant after they have gotten together. We get to see what happens next. I loved seeing how they cope with being together and managing their baseball careers, which send them all over the country, sometimes in different directions; how they cope when one person loves and wants to do something the other one hates; and a big one, seeing what happens when one party wants kids and one is unsure.

We see Declan and Grant dealing with the same sorts of issues many couples deal with. All in With Him didn’t provide the same highs and lows of the previous two books in this series, it was mostly full of love and happiness, and given what Declan and Grant went through to be together, they deserve it. And I loved experiencing their love and joy as they navigated their new life together.

A big thank you to Blakely for giving us Grant and Declan, it has been a pleasure reading each of their stories and All in With Him left me with all the warm, happy feelings.

Winning With Him is the second installment in the Men of Summer series. To get the full impact of the ups and downs of these characters, it should be read in the order that the author intended and not as a standalone.

Winning With Him picks up where we left off in Scoring With Him with Declan and Grant. Declan has been traded to New York, which should be the answer to their prayers. They've made their plan – to be together in November at the beach in Florida. But life has a way of not working out like you plan. After a scare, Declan decides the best thing he can do is break up with Grant. He's doing what he thinks is best for Grant but doesn't completely explain himself, breaking Grant's heart in the process. Grant does what he does best and throws himself into the only thing that has been a consistent in his life, baseball. He has an amazing rookie year, but he can't stop his feelings for the shortstop that stole his heart. Winning With Him spans a five-year period seamlessly.

I was so completely invested in these characters and their stories. It was sweet and heartbreaking, sexy and combustible. I can't explain my delight in seeing that there is more of these characters coming. I could live in this world that Lauren Blakely created forever!

I was so excited to get my hand on Winning With Him, the second book in the Men of Summer series. After the killer cliffhanger of the first book, I was desperate to find out what next and I wasn’t disappointed. What an amazing romance. Grant and Declan’s love story had me feeling angst, pleasure, joy – so many emotions. It wasn’t really a rollercoaster, rather it is an emotional journey between two men who are clearly soulmates. Their journey in life and with each other is so wonderful and in the end, the hard times are worth it.

I didn’t want Winning With Him to end. I loved being with Grant and Declan and I was thrilled when I got to the end of the book to see there is a third instalment to their story, which I immediately pre-ordered. I highly recommend this series for M/M fans.

This is the second book in the series and I would say that you absolutely have to read them in order. If you haven't yet read the first, then you are lucky to avoid the wait for this one! It was such a harsh place to leave us, but all is forgiven!

Grant and Declan were never meant to be, but we were completely committed to their success, even if we knew that Declan was going to do what he thought was best without consultation. It was heartbreaking, yet inevitable. I was fascinated to see how the situation could be turned around, but little did I expect it to be such a long game – really kept the reader on a narrow ledge, waiting for the situation to be resolved.

We get to learn a lot more about both of the guys, their motivations, and their families. Through it all, the whisper of love and attraction lingers in the air. It feels so elusive, yet so powerful, and the tension is intense.

I really enjoyed seeing just how deep the connection was, and how it affected everything they did or didn't do, but that they managed to live a full, meaningful life whilst somewhat in limbo. It is beautifully written.

The next book will be very welcome when it arrives!

Scoring With Him is the first book in the Men of Summer series. There is a prequel that doesn't need to be read, but is a bonus of Grant's backstory that I think everyone needs.

Grant is a rookie. He plans do to exactly what he's done that got him this far, keep his head down and work hard. No outside interruptions, no hook-ups, just baseball. That is, until he is placed on the team with his ultimate crush, Declan. Declan knows what it's like to work for your spot and wouldn't do anything to put his or Grant's position in jeopardy but there is something about the rookie that he can't stay away from. Grant and Declan develop a friendship with a side of flirting that neither can resist.

I loved everything about this read. I was instantly hooked on the relationship between these characters. It was emotional and the chemistry was out of the park between them!! I am dying for the next installment!!

Wow! Talk about hot! I love m/m sports romance and this one is panty melting levels of hot. Before Grant, the rookie, even shows up to spring training he already has a crush on Declan and when they meet, they hit it off. But there is no jumping straight into bed, Declan and Grant get to know each other during early morning runs and I enjoyed their growing friendship and their flirting immensely. Seeing them try to decide if they are going to act on their attraction made the anticipation grow and grow. All the time, Grant is fighting for a spot in the majors and should be focused 100% on baseball.

I don’t want to say any more about the story and give it away, but I will say it was one I couldn’t put down. I read most of it in one sitting. As the story started to come to an end, I was worried it was ending too fast and there wasn’t enough time for a good happily ever after. I didn’t realise Scoring With Him is the first in an ongoing series. That meant two things: (1) a killer cliffhanger and, (2) we get more time with Grant and Declan. Excellent – just what I wanted (well, maybe not the cliffhanger).

What a fantastic start to a new series. I adored Grant and Declan and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about them all day. It is all I can do not to go back to the start of Scoring With Him and read it again straight away. I hope the author doesn’t keep us waiting too long for book two, Winning With Him.

This is the first of a duet… and be warned, there is a bit of a cliffhanger – possibly not of the type you might expect! There is also a prequel, which is a fun starting point although not essential for you to enjoy this book.

I really liked how we learn a bit about both men before they meet. We know that they do not hide their sexuality, but they do not flaunt it either. Declan, as the older, more experienced player, knows the score better and has an absolute rule not to date during the season, and more especially, never to date a teammate… so meeting rookie Grant at spring training is beyond inconvenient!

Watching them navigate their career plans and burgeoning attraction is highly enjoyable for the reader. But be ready for a surprise or two, as well as some deliciously intimate encounters.

Very much ready for the sequel now!

This book picks up shortly after the events in Jazz and Kenni's book. We are still trying to find out who is the traitor among the family that runs the Kin.

Throughout this book, we discover more and more about just who Zack and Grace really are and how long the deceptions have been going on.

What we do know is that Zack is in love with Grace and has been, and, like any stubborn man, refuses to act on his desire due to his desire to protect Grace. However, when Grace is attacked at the doorstep of her own home, he believes the only way to protect her is to make everyone think that they are lovers. Grace has loved Zack for years and believes that he only feels pity for her and refuses to go along with his insane plan to use her to draw out the conspirators who are betraying their families. Unfortunately, it’s an argument that she can't win and winds up installed in Zack's house and bedroom and among all his friends.

I really enjoyed the story, although the end of the story felt rushed to me. The attraction between Zack and Grace could have been explored a bit more and along with a bit more backstory.

I love Lora Leigh. I always expect to be entertained and see some sexiness. This book was tough for me. I didn't read the Men of Summer books, so it left me with a bit of confusion as I read. I definitely didn't get the standalone feeling from it and kept feeling like I was missing bits and pieces.

Even though I had some confused moments, the story itself was still smoking hot and definitely suspenseful. Grace and Zach had their ups and downs, but I enjoyed their relationship. It was a more dramatic read from Lora Leigh compared to what I have read by her before.

Overall, it was a nice read and I'd recommend it to my fellow fans of sexy romance.

Finally, the second installment of the Men of Summer series. While there was a lot I liked about it, there were some aspects that just didn't grab me.

I really should have re-read Loving Lies before delving into this book just to refresh the characters in my mind. That being said, this is a solid read.

What worked/what didn't:

What didn't work for me is that the only thing that Annie changed about herself was contact lenses and her hair color before returning to the hometown that she believed betrayed her. Living in the town where her family lives -- including cousins out the kudzu -- seems a little dangerous when there are people out to kill you and the only thing different is your hair color.

What did work for me was the sense of protectiveness that her family and friends afforded to her once the secret was out. Yes, the men folk are over the top a$$hats but you can see how devastated they were after they were told of her death years ago.

I hope that the next installment in this series isn't too far down the line.

I give this one 3 stars because I felt that it was okay, but a bit confusing for me. As a fan of Lora Leigh, I wasn't disappointed in her deliciously steamy sex scenes, but the rest of the storyline seemed like I was missing something or had missed something even though it is supposed to be able to be read as a standalone.

Jazz lives in a small woodsy town where he was raised with his foster family and remains close with his foster brothers. He, and the whole town still mourns the loss of their leader's wife and daughter, Jazz's first love.

Annie is hiding in small town Loudoun, trying to stay under the radar where she's been safe. Her world has been torn apart for years and she spends her time trying to seek out help while looking over her shoulder. She's always prepared to run, but longs to rebuild her roots where they belong.

The whole town is run by a mafia like organization called the Kin. They are either the protectors or the nightmare depending upon who you are to them. Jazz and his foster brothers have grown up under their tutelage and they know just how useful, and deadly they can be.

When Annie's true identity is revealed, she and Jazz find out who they really are to each other, but have no idea if they can keep her safe, let alone get past the deception, and new ways of life they have developed to even go forward with their relationship.

I didn't find this hard to read, and quite enjoyed all of the badass alpha males mixed in with their feisty female counterparts. I would recommend this to Lora Leigh fans and general romance fans looking for a steamy alpha male read.

Another great read from Ms. Leigh. She gets right to the heart of a story and draws in the reader until suddenly it is getting light again; a night spent turning the pages ignorant of time passing! The plot is complex, the characters so vivid and the romantic leads just have to work it out, as they are clearly so right together. I had not read the first in the series, but I shall be going back to remedy that soon.

I really enjoyed the drama, which although quite significant, never was too frightening (on my wuss scale!) and an interest idea. The romance, which had a very brief, innocent background, was explored well, and the legacy he had built was definitely swoonworthy. And although definitely Alpha male, Jazz actually had some empathy which made it work far better than can often be the case.

I loved the ending, which leads clearly onto another story ... but about whom? I hope Ms. Leigh is busy getting it ready, so that we know soon.
