Our First & Last by Becca Seymour Blog Tour

Blog Tour. Becca Seymour’s Our First & Last.

When a cute nurse needs to be saved during his shift in the Pride kissing booth, he’s rescued by a man he least expects. Now he just needs to figure out how to achieve the future he wants, one that will lead to a happily ever after and a place he can call home.

Ian Haughton is a loveable, hardworking nurse. He’s ready for a change and wants to escape and start afresh in the small community of towns he’s grown to love—Kirkby being at the heart.

When the new annual Pride festival launches in this small-town community, Ian is happy to be involved but reluctant to be the lips needed to draw in the crowds at the kissing booth. That is until one man’s lips save him from an uncomfortable moment and end up turning his world on its head.

With miles separating Ian from the future he so desperately wants, he has no idea how he can make it all work out, especially when someone appears to be driving a wedge in his plans.

Some surprises are unexpected, while some revelations come with the sweetest of first—and last—kisses.

Our First and Last is a sweet and sexy M/M romance in Becca Seymour’s bestselling True-Blue series. It can be read as a stand-alone novella, but it’s recommended you read book four, Thinking It Over, first so you have a better understanding of the wonderful characters in this world.

It was rare someone got my back up. It was even rarer for me to step into a situation and come close to punching a guy. But from the body language alone—Ian’s had screamed of discomfort—I’d been on high alert. And then when I’d heard some of the bullshit spewing out of the dickhead’s mouth, pissed off wasn’t close to the level of anger surging to the surface.

I was fucking livid.

Consent was a gift, and anyone who messed with that and refused to listen deserved to be castrated. And with the douche’s attention so focused on Ian, legit, the sweetest man I knew, I’d come seriously close.

I side-eyed the man beside me, listened to his breathing in the quiet car. Nerves all but radiated off him, and I couldn’t pinpoint if there was a particular reason or a multitude. Either way, I could list off the potential causes for the tension. And I got it. Seriously I did.

When I’d scored a babysitter, my plan had hit me with renewed need to see Ian and clear the air and hopefully get some more action going. That he’d been on his way to see me did all sorts of things to my heart while simultaneously muddling my brain.

But I didn’t want to talk it out in the car. When we spoke about the heavier stuff, I wanted to see his face, read his reaction. Only then could I be sure we were on the same page.

One thing for certain was Ian had no poker face. His emotions, his feelings were always laid bare for those who looked closely enough. And I certainly focused a lot on the man.

He was too pretty for his own good. The combination of his expressive eyes with his sweet smile, right along with his defined body, made the man a wet dream. Once you merged those traits with how caring and funny he was, it made him a dangerous wet dream.

Since it was rare I backed away from danger, I had no desire to run from that lethal combination.

Not anymore.

I was setting myself up for a heart attack. The man was unattainable. Full stop. End of story.

I just loved this book from page one. I was sucked in and just couldn't wait to pick it back up on lunch break. Ian and Frankie are simply amazing together. They have been dancing around each other for two years and finally hit gold at a kissing booth. This is a low-angst, super-sweet love story with just a tad bit of drama with Leroy, which wasn't really resolved but kind of was, but not really. I really enjoy this series, great read, highly recommended!

It was good to be back at Kirkby. This time our romance is between nurse Ian and Frankie, who happens to be Ian’s best friend’s brother and a single dad to cute as a button Ty.

This is a lovely, sweet romance. Ian is totally buff and also a great big teddy bear. Frankie was a good guy and a good dad. The circumstances that see Ian and Frankie have their first kiss were really fun. These are two good guys and it was a pleasure to be with them as they fell in love.

Now as fun as the story is, be prepared for a little angst. I wasn’t prepared, so when it hit, I actually had to put the book down to a few minutes and get myself together before I could keep reading.

Our First & Last is a quick, easy read with a predictable but really enjoyable romance. This is a solid three-star read from me.

I wasn’t quite sure how much longer I could last without making a move.
