Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the second book in the series – I would definitely recommend that you read the books in order to get the full picture. There is an underlying 'mystery' which is being uncovered by Dominic... and no doubt we will get more in future installments. The hints are there, but actually, you could still very much enjoy the story and just put those elements on the side for now.

Wren makes a decision to take a chance and risk a short holiday romance whilst in Paris. Maurice is most definitely someone who can make it the very best type of risk. He is all about no strings, yet when she is the one who leaves, before he is ready, then the tables are turned on him, and he has to take the biggest risk of all. It was fun to see them enjoy the pleasures of Paris, even if tinged with the danger of emotions becoming involved in a brief affair. As we get to understand that somehow Cardello is going to make it all work out right, we just have to be patient. I am also looking forward to seeing how Dominic's discoveries affect the Corisi family.

Mauricio is a playboy. There is really no other way to describe him. He likes women and while he doesn't promise them anything more than a good time, Mauricio also doesn't realize how it might feel if his heart was in a relationship.

Wren is off to Paris to visit her good friend and take a break from her life. She is used to helping everyone but herself. Her parents have leaned heavily on her and while they might want Wren to live her dream, it seems that they don't realize that she isn't doing so.

Wren is warned by her good friend about Mauricio and his reputation. But because attraction and lust don't always make sense, she and Mauricio agree to a no-strings-attached affair. When her time is up in Paris, they will go their separate ways.

Hearts and love are put to the ultimate test between these two people who don't believe in love or feel that they will ever find it. Watching these two fall for each other was sweet, but somewhat predictable. And while they might have started with no clear direction, they will each have an idea of what they might want from the other by the end of this book.
