Inked Music by Sean Michael

Can a wealthy but bored businessman rescue a tortured musician from his self-imposed purgatory with a scorching kinky romance?

When Rene Conette attends an intimate performance at a local bar, the guitarist moves him enough that he attempts to go backstage but is stymied by the man’s bodyguard. Putting it down as not meant to be, he goes on with his life only to run into the man again, late at night at a bookstore.

Gavin Turner used to be a famous musician until an obsessed fan kidnapped and tortured him. Then it came out that he was into the BDSM lifestyle, and the court of public opinion ravaged him. He lost his Master and his self-confidence. Now he hides behind his ink and his bodyguards, who make sure he doesn’t come into contact with anyone or anything he doesn’t want to. Though it’s been years since he satisfied his needs, he doesn’t think he can trust again.

If Rene can work his way past Gavin’s defenses, they might find they complement each other perfectly.

Once again, the author had me from the first page until the last page. I loved Rene and Gavin right from the start. You couldn't help but root for them! Gavin is so private and shy because of a horrible incident in his past, you can't help but hurt for what he went through. Rene is one of those guys that seems too good to be true, but you hope and pray he is real. This book is low on angst, high on chemistry, and semi BDSM in my opinion, it's more D/s than anything. I would really like more books; I need to hear more about the twins Si and Dev... they sound delicious! Plus, the very last sentence in the book is a question to Gavin from Rene and there wasn't an answer. I need more. I need to see where they went from there!!!!

Gavin used to be a famous musician, but a horrible incident in his past forced him to hire bodyguards and live in solitude. The need he has to still play music is strong. He's worked out a deal with a local club to get on stage, no talking, no announcing who is, he plays, then leaves. While playing one night, Rene is in the crowd. He is so drawn to the man, he can't his eyes off of him. He tries to get back stage just to tell him what an amazing performance it is but is stopped and denied by the bodyguard. Rene is saddened but doesn't give it another thought until he sees him again in a book store.

Gavin is cautious but interested in Rene. Rene instantly realizes he needs to go slow with Gavin so not to spook him. I was instantly rooting for these two. The chemistry between them was addictive. The side characters were just as interesting as the main. There is room for a follow-up or spinoff, which I would love to see.

Often referred to as “Space Cowboy” and “Gangsta of Love” while still striving for the moniker of “Maurice,” Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection, and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs.

While collecting vast numbers of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the F-bomb and pursuing the Kama Sutra by channeling the long-lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to Chicago.

A longtime writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys. Barring any of that? He’ll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.
