The blurb really grabbed my attention and I couldn't wait to start this book.

I enjoyed the novella and the world it created, but for me, it got off to a slow start. I learned a lot about Tessa, but not much is known about the Dom who bought her during the auction.

Tessa seems to be a smart woman, a woman who understands the wherefores and whys of why she was asked to take part in this sort of week long experience, but as a reader, I got the impression that she was somehow doubting herself and her instincts except when she was under the command of a Dom.

I want to read the next installment so that I can get a better sense of just who Tessa really is and why her Dom feels so insecure outside the Dom/sub relationship.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the first in the series, and leaves us wanting to know more about this intriguing couple. Tessa, an experienced sub, is asked by her BDSM club if she would go to a mysterious island for a week in exchange for a lot of money...this would mean that she could fulfil a lifetime's ambition. Obviously she takes the chance, and we get to see just what happens on her adventure. She is an interesting sub, as clearly very experienced, yet not yet collared – her opinion of herself is fascinating to read, and understand. Master Felix, who bids for her, has no doubt that she is a diamond in the auction and delights in her. Watching the dynamics between these two sizzle makes for very enjoyable reading – a fan might be useful!

I cannot wait to read what happens next, as there is clearly more than just a D/s holiday feel to this pair.
