The moon shone bright over a crystal clear lake. Thousands of stars were reflected, like floating diamonds sparkling. The breeze blew gently through red cedar, pine, and maple. The clean mountain air reminded him of camping with his family when he was a boy.

It had been so long since he had the liberty, and desire, to enjoy nature. The water called to Devlin. Carefully, without a sound, he pulled the clothes from his body and placed them on the stump beside him.

With a slow breath, he walked into the gentle ripples, creating larger crests of his own. Warm water greeted him. He dove under, swimming deeper.

A splash caught Devlin’s attention. He broke the surface to find nothing, and no one. Closing his eyes, he reached out with his senses. A lone werewolf was close.

Panic flared through him, and he started for the shore, but a woman surfaced before him. A slow smile spread on her face when he flailed back, splashing her in his surprise.

“Your heart’s pounding.” Amusement sparkled in her pale blue topaz eyes as she placed one small hand over his chest. Warmth washed through him offering a calm he couldn’t remember ever feeling.

Yet, he was terrified the Dales were tracking him. A dream, nothing more than a dream. They can’t find me, he reminded himself.

“You startled me,” Devlin replied.

“Hmm.” Her foot brushed against his calf, sending a shiver through his entire body. She tapped her finger to her chin. “You remind me of someone, but I can’t figure out who.”

Intrigued, and certainly heading toward aroused, he asked, “What makes you say that?”

One corner of her shiny pink mouth lifted impishly. “Don’t know, but you do.” Her voice had taken on a husky purr which effectively made his blood pump faster.

A dream, just a dream, he told himself. Then he did something bold, something he hadn’t done in so long he was sure he’d fail, even in a fantasy. “What’s a sweet little wolf like you doing out here all alone?”

Her giggle was melodic as her already dazzling eyes lit up. “Looking for love in all the wrong places.”

As if on cue, his resistance broke. Her tiny waist fit perfectly in his hands, her hips flared in a way that made him groan. Devlin propelled them closer to the shore, until his feet touched bottom.

Before he could make his move, her legs locked around his hips and her fingers caressed up his shoulder and neck to delve into his hair. She grazed her lips over his. Afraid to take things too far, he slid his hands up her back, pressing her full breasts against his chest.

Needing more of her taste, he deepened their kiss. Devlin felt more alive than he could remember. A dream, just a blasted dream, his brain chimed in. The knowledge didn’t stop him from sweeping his tongue into her mouth when she opened to him.

Her body undulated in tune with his, and her heated core slid against his hardened length. The urge to bury himself in her was too much.

Pulling back, he panted, “Your name? Need your name, Precious.”

“Precious?” She licked her lips as she stared back at him with something like awe in her big blue eyes.

He tipped his forehead to hers and breathed in her wild but seductive scent. “You’ve set me free of my old life. You’ve given me something to look forward to.” He didn’t know where the words came from, but he didn’t dare take them back. They felt right.

“Jamie Abrams. You better come to me.” There was a command hidden in her sweet sassy voice, one he truly wanted to obey. “I’ll be waiting.”

He nodded, rolling her name through his head like a fine wine over his tongue.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the fourth in the series and I highly recommend that you read them all in order. The stories are all strong in their own right, but much richer as a whole. Unusually the characters are strong enough to stay in the memory between releases, although I would never complain if they came out more frequently!

Finally in this story Jamie gets her chance, although others from previous books get to tell us how they are moving forward too. As always the path to contentment is littered with evil creatures with dastardly intentions, but there is time for hot romance and steamy passion too. I found the way Devlin behaved to be fascinating, as he most certainly wasn't an Alpha male and was wracked with guilt, yet he found great inner strength.

Looking forward to the next one!

Welcome back to the little town of Edenton where Others are in charge.

Reading this book felt like picking back up a favorite show for the new season. This time Jamie is the main character and she is full of so much fight and feisty as all get it, I love it. Without a second wasted you are back in the thick of the action and love. Never lacking for a cast of characters, you find yourself rooting for the new and a couple of surprises along the way. Fingers crossed for many more books from Ms. Rivers and this little town. I always enjoy my time in Edenton.

Jamie has finally found her dream man, literally. Devlin O'Shea is a dreamwalker, on the run from the Dales and stumbles into Jamie's dreams, where he immediately falls in love.

Knowing that being with her will only bring her heartache and loss, Devlin is adamant about staying away from her. Until he realizes that his long lost sister lives in the same town as Jamie.

I really enjoyed this book, lots of interaction with other characters we've grown to love in this series. I can't wait to see where the author takes us next.

Brandy L Rivers is the author of the Others of Edenton Series. There are more Others of Edenton in the works. She is also working on the first couple books in the Others of Seattle series.

As an avid reader, Brandy has always loved writing. She became serious about it as a stay-at-home-mother. She has a file full of manuscripts she plans to edit and put out there eventually.

Rachel leaned over the table and tipped her glass at Kaylee as though it were a pointer.  “I’ll loosen you up before you graduate if it’s the last thing I do.”  She sat back up and what little sobriety she’d seemed to possess just seconds ago had disappeared.  “In the meantime, Maddy, Shannon?  Come with me to the bar to fetch more drinks and we can iron out the details without making our prudish friend blush.”

Well, too late.  As the three women slid out of the booth, Kaylee felt just that—a mad red flush racing up her face, stinging her cheeks.  She hoped it wasn’t evident in the bar or maybe she could blame it on drinking, but Rachel had, with her few words, made Kaylee not only feel prudish but embarrassed.  And in front of all people…

Once the women were up, though, Blaze showed no inkling of having registered his sister’s last words.  Kaylee began to feel awkward then.  What the hell would she say to this super hot guy after a conversation like that?  She had decided to ask him how classes were going when he said, “I can’t blame you really.  I don’t think I could do that either.”  He grinned.  “Even though I find the idea intriguing.”  Kaylee felt her cheeks redden again, but she smiled before looking down at her glass once more.  “Not gonna pay for it, though.  Fuck that.”

Kaylee picked up her glass and sipped what little water was left in it, simply to have something to do.  Her alcohol glass was drained as well, both down to ice cubes.  She didn’t know what to say so she nodded her head and smiled.  She’d always found Blaze’s looks and charm intimidating, so she was feeling more than a little tongue-tied.  She didn’t want him to think she was a snooty bitch, though, so she said, “I agree.”

He rested his chin on his arms on the chair and said, “What’s the part that has you freaking out more?  The fact that it would be a stranger or that you’d be paying for it?”

His question helped her relax a little.  It felt like he was taking a practical approach and wanted to discuss the matter as two adults.  They weren’t actually talking about orgasms or…fingers and clits, for God’s sake.  So she took a deep breath and gave the matter a little thought.  It didn’t take long for her to say, “I think it’s that it’s a stranger.”  She didn’t know why she felt compelled to continue—especially with Blaze—but she did.  “Seriously.  It’s hard enough to relax and then you have someone you’ve never met before trying to make you feel good.  I can’t imagine.”  She smiled and rolled her eyes, hoping she appeared relaxed now, because she was far from it.

Blaze didn’t intend to help the matter at all.  “What if it was you and me?”

Had she heard him right?  And why the hell was her heart thudding in her chest?  She had a hard time sucking in a breath, but when she was able to, she asked, “What do you mean?”  Her voice was so low, she was surprised he could hear it.

“If I was the therapist.”  He sat up and used the index and middle fingers of both his hands to air quote his last word.  “You know…my sister, Maddy, and Shannon go to Boulder to have some stranger finger bang them, but what if someone you knew took care of you here?”

Her jaw didn’t drop to the table but she had lost all words.  She just wished she could figure out if Blaze was yanking her chain or making her the offer of a lifetime.

Belying the hard-hitting, erotic title, Finger Bang is a lighthearted, sensual read. An enjoyable way to spend a few stress-free hours in someone else's world.

Warning: I had a difficult time getting into the book at the beginning, as I found Kaylee's friends overwhelming, as does she. In-your-face, demanding, slightly insulting, Kaylee's friends put her on the spot to go to Boulder, Colorado to 'loosen up'. Even though, Kaylee is sexually repressed, shy, and uncertain, my first impression of her friends was NOT complimentary. As a serious introvert, reading the 'banter' and conversation from page one was mentally taxing for me, and I will sadly admit that if I wasn't reading to review, I wouldn't have continued on because I was in the mood for stress-free.

With that saying, I did enjoy being in Kaylee's mind, was able to empathize with the character, sharing a similar mindset. The introduction of Blaze kept me reading.

Since I read reviews before I buy, I don't wish to ruin the reading experience for those who do the same, so you will not get a play-by-play/book-report-style review from me.

Finger Bang picked up for me at chapter 3, when Kaylee is alone and her friends are in Boulder getting their orgasm on. Experimenting with their own version of Orgasm Meditation, Blaze proves to Kaylee that she isn't sexually repressed. The sexual content is highly detailed and smoking hot. But it is written in a way that makes it sensual and intimate, not raunchy & over-the-top.

The friends return, insecurities, drama, and angst rear their ugly heads, creating the conflict of the story. The evolution of Kaylee & Blaze's relationship is an enjoyable ride.

3rd Person, dual-perspective: Kaylee & Blaze.
Recommend: contemporary romance fans who enjoy an angsty, steamy read.
Would I read more from this author in the future: Yes. When I'm looking for a few hours of guilty-pleasure entertainment.


Shelby – ☆☆☆☆
This was a cute story - it was light, refreshing, and sweet.

Kaylee is a college student, living with 3 friend/roommates.

She is the most "subdued" of her friends and tries to keep away from attention.

We meet Blaze, the brother of one friend, and the story really starts :)

This was a quick, sex-centered romance, with great chemistry and fun themes.


Shannan – ☆☆☆☆☆
How could you not want to read a book called Finger Bang?

I'm not sure what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised that is was such a sweet love story. I love that Jade stepped "out of the box" for this one. This isn't the typical Jade I am used to reading, it wasn't gritty or raw or that edge that she usually puts into her books. This was completely different, there was laughter, and aww moments and the sex scenes were slow and sweet. To me it was a quick read, but I've been waiting on this one since she announced the title! It hit my Kindle and I pounced on it. Devoured it in one sitting.

A must read!

Can't wait to see what direction Jade goes next!

Orgasmic Meditation??? Yes, I think I'll read that.. that was my initial thought when I read the synopsis for this book. The cover and title helped too if I'm honest.. Finger Bang.. I don't know about you, but my mind goes to dirty places...

Kaylee, our heroine... she's a sweet, shy gal with little experience in the bedroom... even with herself. Enter Blaze, her roommate's SEXY brother. He BLAZES the h*ll out of her. He's hot, he's patient and everything else she needs.

Blaze is even bold, yet patient enough to get her to agree to try something she never ever thought she would... orgasmic meditation, while her three other roommates head out of town to try it with strangers.

I LOVED this story. I loved Kaylee and her shy personality that blooms as the story continues. Blaze was sexy and fun throughout the story. Add in the three roommates and Kaylee's parents and it was an excellent well rounded story with some funny moments and other not so funny sexy scenes and everything between.

"Orgasmic meditation?" Yep, I'd read a book about that.

Shy Kaylee Baker is wondering what the big deal is. She's had sex, not that mind blowing in her opinion, so why the fuss over this "orgasmic meditation" place in Boulder.

Blaze Donahue has had a crush on Kaylee since she became roommates with his sister, Rachel. Overhearing their discussion about heading down to Boulder to see for themselves what the OM was all about, he gladly joined the discussion.

I expected a lot more of the OM, but I have to say this is a nice, sweet romance that took me my back to my college years.

This sweet coming of age romance has an amusing starting point - a discussion about orgasmic meditation amongst four girls in their flat. Through this we learn just how shy and repressed the leading lady is, mainly due to her overly strict parents. However it turns out that she may just be about to grow up, thanks to her roommate's brother Blaze. And Blaze is seriously hot, lucky girl!!

I really enjoyed the story being told from both POVs, and the thoughts going through their heads were great fun to read. An enjoyable, lighthearted read.

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado, moved from one city/town to the next, and she’s decided she likes it so much she wants to stay…although travel is not out of the question. She lives in a big town in Colorado (not unlike Winchester!) with her husband and four children. She is working on becoming a crazy cat lady. Okay, so maybe not.

“Anyway, back to our negotiations. Face the bed and put your hands on the mattress.” With a sharp smack on his ass, Chicklet stepped away and went to grab the boxes off the bed.

He watched her, then forced himself to follow her instructions without telling her how much he hated this position. His own defensive tone surprised him. He moved to lift his head, but Chicklet’s hand pressed gently against it, keeping him in place. “I have no problem putting this in writing if you need it, Tyler.”

“I don’t. I’m sorry, I’m not sure why I said that.”

“Because you’re feeling exposed and you don’t know what I’m planning. I’ll let you know if your uncertainty verges on rudeness, don’t worry.” She ran her hand up and down his spine. “Try to relax.”

“Be easier if I knew what you were gonna do to me.” Tyler bit the inside of his cheek as her hand drifted down, between his legs. She cupped his balls and he pressed his eyes shut. Wouldn’t take much for him to come, no matter how “uncertain” he was. His dick twitched as she closed her hand around his nutsack. The rest of him went perfectly still.

He was always real polite, if not completely silent, when Chicklet had a firm grip on his balls.

Still can’t relax. He didn’t know a man that could, restrained like this. Ropes wouldn’t be more effective.

“Penetration is on your hard limits, along with blood play, needle play, and…” She cleared her throat, her voice hinting at amusement. “Any kind play that’s ‘like bathroom stuff.’”

“Yeah. None of that’s changed.”

Her grip tightened.

Shuddering, he managed to get the word out. “Needle play.”

The grip on his nutsack loosened up and he inhaled deeply. The kiss Chicklet pressed between his shoulder blades as she released his balls calmed him some. But then he heard the distinct sound of a condom wrapper being ripped. He stiffened at a rubber snap. Gloves too?

Chicklet made a soft, hushing sound. “Trust me, Tyler. Your limits haven’t changed.” When she paused, a loud buzzing filled the room. “Yet.”

Her hand, covered with a snug rubber glove, was on his ass, spreading his cheeks. Some blunt, vibrating thing pressed against his anus and he jerked his hips away. A slap on his thigh warned him to stay put.

His legs were kicked farther apart. The vibrations returned and he muffled a groan. Shit, this shouldn’t feel good, but it did. There were all kinds of nerves back there and they flared up, intense enough to drive him out of his mind. He bucked his hips back and fisted his hands in the comforter.

“Fuck!” His muscles drew taut. He couldn’t take much more, the pleasure was like nothing he’d ever experienced. He trembled as the vibrations increased. No way would he come without permission, but he wasn’t sure he could stop himself. “Mistress, may I—”

“Not yet. Take a breath and hold back for me.” Her voice was low, soothing, as though she wanted to help him follow her command. Without making it easier. She shifted and a bottle cap popped. The Dartmouth Cobras are the most fascinating team of hockey players with BDSM/Menage preferences that any author could create - and Ms. Sommerland has an imagination which clearly knows no bounds. Each book in the series has concentrated on a particular relationship, but makes sure that we get our fix of the team as a whole and watch as life moves on for the others. This means that you will be best served reading them in order - in fact as I was reading I realised that a family tree structure might help me remember all the complex interplays!

This is a brilliant story about faithfulness, selfishness and mistakes - on the part of a significant number of the wider cast, and most definitely on the quartet of Tyler, Chicklet, Laura and Raif. There are moments that are written so we know that they are coming, and curl our toes in anticipation, and others which hit from offside and make one flinch. Either way, fabulous story, and can't wait for the next one. (It is also a story about love, self-discovery and family - but they are a given in DC's world!)

I joined the party late, this was my first Cobras book. All I can say is WOW what a book to jump in with! The heat level on this one was off the charts! What could be better than a sports book, extremely well written sex scenes and some m/m action, I'll tell you what..NOTHING!! What this book did show me is that I need to go add the rest of the books in the series to my TBR!!

Tell you about me? Hmm, well there's not much to say. I love hockey and cars and my kids…not in that order of course! Lol! When I'm not writing—which isn't often—I'm usually watching a game or a car show while working on promo. Going out with my kids is my only down time. I get to clear my head and forget everything.

As for when and why I first started writing, I guess I thought I'd get extra cookies if I was quiet for awhile—that's how young I was. I used to bring my grandmother barely legible pages filled with tales of evil unicorns. She told me then that I would be a famous author.

I hope one day to prove her right.

Tiffany Reisz is an amazing author – EVERYTHING about this book is fantastic!!!
The setting, the dialogue, the interactions, the romance, the BDSM – EVERYTHING!

The book begins at the present time, in a different country. As the reader, you’re thrown “off balance,” which just made me want to read faster to find out WTF is going on.
I don’t want to give ANYTHING away, nor do I want to summarize the story & ruin it for you.
I will say that although the book is set in the present time, we FINALLY learn about Nora/Eleanor age 15 – 20!!!

We find out when/how she meets Soren (he was 29)! We see how they were both entranced at first sight and how they grew together. She was a wild teenager whom needed spiritual guidance and was at the “right place at the right time.” He was the epitome of the “Father” figure who needed someone to believe in him. They both looked to each other to fill important roles in their lives.

Many questions are answered, more are raised…and we’re left waiting for the next book ;)

I'm begging you to read The Red Years first, Nora- the famous dominatrix. The Saint is the first book in the White Years, Nora- the Submissive. There're so many shocking twists and turns within the The Red Years, I want you to go through all the emotional ups and down, I want you to feel it. Don't make me get my crop. Read The Siren first, then continue on. I only say this because I want you to fully comprehend the characters, their loyalty, their sacrifices, their love. It's like nothing you've ever read.

THESE CHARACTERS AREN'T LIKE ANYTHING YOU'VE EVER READ!
I'm so connected to these fictional characters, I get goosebumps, I cry, I yell, I have panic attacks.

Nora is one of a kind, smart, witty, and dangerously intoxicating.

Soren is the one, the only one that can bring me to my knees. I have never met anyone like him. My favorite PRIEST!

"You're not a normal priest, are you?"
He gave her a smile that hit her like a slap to the face and a kiss on the mouth all at once.
"My God, I hope not."

Kingsley does something wicked to me. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM! Unconditionally, I am in love.

I can't have one without the other. IT wouldn't be right.

I won't go into great detail and I definitely won't spoil.  Nora is hiding out in a cabin spilling her past to Nico. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach, I almost didn't want to finish. WTF happened since The Mistress?!?! Here's the deal, you never know what will happen, don't try to guess, it will get you nowhere. Just enjoy the ride!!!!!!

Once again I feel the need to kneel in front of Ms. Reisz - she writes the most amazing prose that it is difficult to tear oneself away, and yet at the same time the knowledge that every page is one nearer the end is a sadness. I am in awe of how the story can be told, retold, grow, make everything seem right, it all appear finished, a new chapter begin ... Stunning

Hopefully you get the idea that this is a MUST read and are dashing off to order your copy now. Just make sure you've cleared your diary, or don't need to sleep much tonight, because I doubt you can stop reading it once you start!
