This is the third in the series, and I love how they are all interconnected and bring us snippets of different cultures and viewpoints.

Jackson Stark is Darius's nephew and works as a games designer, dancer, and model. Being busy stops him thinking too much. He is a young man who doesn't slow down, but when he sees Ko, he is smitten. However, he can only see the problems.

Ko has just buried his father and now has to take on the mantle of running their fashion empire himself. Seeing his friend's nephew, Jackson, all grown up, he knows that he is more than just the new face of his business, but possibly someone to tempt him into a relationship.

Both are so reticent to allow their feelings to surface, that the tension when they are released is amazing. No doubting their chemistry! But you need to read it, so I will say no more.

A really good addition to the series, thank you Mr. Duchene.

Trust and Control by Remmy Duchene

I really enjoyed this book even though I knew who was who and what was going to happen. I loved Raj and my heart just broke for him; you could feel every emotion he went through and you couldn’t help but feel them yourself. Christophe made me want to scream a few times, but I can see where he is coming from; but once he knew what was going on, why it took him so long to get on board was beyond me. It wasn’t a very long book, so it was a nice lazy Sunday read for me.

I have read a few masked encounter stories before, so was prepared to accept that Christophe did not recognise his best friend is the man behind the mask – and really, why would he think it was him, given that he friend-zoned him many, many years ago. If anything, it is rather sad that Jaswant had lived with those feelings for so long, and was so desperate that he took these steps. As the story develops and we see Christophe warring with himself, I think it would have been good to explain why he struggled so much with the whole idea of love. I thought that Jaswant's sister was essential to the story, and did a good job of keeping the situation under control. Overall a good premise for a story.

Veronica – ☆☆☆
Clark and Tae meet at a hospital when Clark helps Tae's elderly mother after she has a fall in the street. Their meeting is brief and doesn't go particularly well. I found their responses in the aftermath of their first meeting to be disproportionately strong. The way they were thinking about each other you would think they knew each other better or at least for longer.

With a gentle push from Tae's mother, a courtship of sorts begins and the story settles into a more comfortable rhythm. Tempted to Touch is easy romantic reading and I enjoyed it.


Erica – ☆☆☆
Remmy Duchene is a new-to-me author, and I found the writing style to be fluid and easy to read. Clark James works at a diner, and on an eventful day, his life changes. An older woman falls and breaks her hip, causing bystanders to take pics and videos instead of helping the woman. (I found it hard to believe how they all knew who the woman was, but didn't jump in to help her because of who she was – to get the notoriety and monetary reward Clark refused. Also, while the majority are asshats, I highly doubt out of a crowd of 20 or so, that no one would help.) Out rushes Clark to the rescue.

I enjoyed the addition of Rae to the storyline, Tae's mother, and how easily she bonded with Clark. Clark's narration was pleasant to read, and Tae's was different in the way he was more emotionally closed off.

The story itself, I found a bit difficult to swallow. How did Tae know where to find Clark, other than at the diner? How did Tae come to find Clark at the batting cages? The set up was great, Clark meeting Tae via Rae's accident, and the woman trying to push them together.

Tae hanging up out of fear to rush to the hospital was a knee-jerk reaction, but Clark's snubbing him at the hospital in retaliation seemed to be catty and contradictory to the man the reader was getting to know. While waiting to make restitution as a thank you, Tae immediately moved toward romance with Clark, which was bizarre. (I could understand an ailing mother going that direction.) But romance and lust are not the same thing, and Tae immediately went there, before Clark or the reader was ready.

Rae was talking of forever/son-in-law before Clark ever met Tae, without knowing if he was gay or not, or married/in a relationship, when she had shared no more than 20 words with the young man. He could have been a bad person who helped because most people help elderly when they are in need. It takes a true sociopath not to (like the 20+ bystanders).

The manufactured love/hate tension felt forced, as did the romance and attraction, that is what kept me from thoroughly enjoying the novella.

I give mad props to the author for writing a culturally diverse cast of characters, and the way the Korean was used in dialogue, with either the next line of dialogue or inner monologue translating it into English. I do wish it wasn't italicized, as Rae and Tae were speaking the words, no different than the English words that were spoken.

Highly recommend to MM romance fans who don't mind insta-love, don't want a complicated plot and a ton of angst, and are looking for a few hours of romantic, warm and fuzzy escapism.

Darius runs a multimillion dollar company. Alfred is a former dancer who now works as a waiter. When they first meet there is attraction, but Alfred doesn't take it seriously because of their different stations in life. There is a huge income disparity between these two, but Darius never flaunts his wealth or makes Alfred feel like he isn't enough.

This couple deals with issues within their own families while building their relationship and trying to find time to see each. Alfred's mother is controlling and doesn't approve of Darius because he isn't Chinese. Darius is trying to rebuild his relationship with his brother who rejected him when he came out.

I really enjoyed So Into You. I liked the sexy romance between our interracial couple. I like that they are dealing with regular every day issues we all deal with. This is a very lovely story.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆
This is a story which deals with an awful lot of issues, for both men. It is interesting to see the different dynamics between the two families and what they see as important. Alfred is amazingly patient with his Mother, and Darius has problems with his brother. But we see them work through them with their friends for support. The issue of inequality of their income was raised, but I am not sure really whether it was resolved – that said, this is the first in a series, so we have time, assuming we get to meet the duo again. I look forward to seeing where this series goes next.

This is a heartwarming story about a guy who has everything and one who values himself as nothing. Matthew Chance is working himself into an early grave working two jobs to keep himself above water. With no family to rely on except his best friend, he lives with the fear of failure. A chance meeting whilst working in a bar leads to a future which he can't quite believe he deserves. As this plays out we get some insight into just how much his life has dragged him down, but also a lesson in hope. I liked the way that they story panned out. Ash and Matt clearly have some amazing chemistry and heat up the page in a delightful way. And although there is a passing mention of kink it is really just that.

A new author to me, but one I will be keeping my eye on in the future.
