So, he turns her down and makes her hate him in a way that breaks both their hearts and she moves to New York. A few years later, Ledger's mother dies and Hazel comes back to town. She knows Ledger is hurting and needs her but again, he pushes her away. Ten years later, they run into each other at a bar. Ledger can't let her get away again, but all Hazel wants is revenge. But the joke’s on her because she becomes pregnant from their one night together. Now she's back to let him know she doesn't need him to be a part of her or the baby's life, but it is his child. Ledger refuses to lose her again and will do whatever it takes to make her see it's always been her.
Most times in this read I wanted to slap Ledger across the face but in the end, he won me over. Hazel and Ledger had a rocky yet spicy road to get to their happily ever after. It was full of angst and dirty talk and made for a perfect afternoon read!
